- POISON is what I found while cleaning and organizing our pantry!! How did it get there? What can I do to get rid of it? This year my family has decided to throw out all the conventional ways of easy cooking and convenience foods. We are moving towards a new way of life..more holistic, with whole foods, all organic, and home grown garden produce. Better food, better health, better life! I know it is going to be more planning and hard work...but what we eat is the most important thing that we do all day. Food is medicine or it is poison. I want to serve medicine to my family. Join us as we embark on this new journey. It will be full of progress and mistakes, as we try new things such as tinctures, salves, fermentations, canning, homesteading, gardening, and so much more. ❤️

My mother told me that one must first risk failure to ever have success. I’m so proud of you jumping out there and trying new things. ❤️
Thanks! No risk, no reward! ❤️
Your husband is a lucky man.
I'm the lucky one ❤️
Strong work folks, keep going down the right path. Please seek a food pantry or something that will take that "poison" food and give it to someone that can't afford to be healthy. So many folks need to eat. Search for those that take care of kids.
Absolutely!
I truly wish I would have done what you are doing 20 years ago, my health would be so much better and so would my children's.
This video is such a wonderful inspiration. Thank you 😊.
Can't wait to see more.
P.S. love your husband's channel, that's how I found you.
Kim, you are amazing! You have everything so beautifully organized thank you for sharing so the rest of us have some inspiration and direction. Love your videos, feel like you are talking to each one of us in person and just having a normal conversation but building our understanding and knowledge at the same time so we get it right as we go forward :) thank you
Thank you so much! I am so glad that this translated through film, because talking to you like you are in my home is the goal. I just want to be real and help where I can❤️
New subscriber. AWESOME job. Love your attitude and personality. Look forward to watching more of your videos
Thank you so much!!
Check out Roots & Refuge with Jess & Jeremiah. They are awesome together but she is a wonderful gardener. I think you would love them. They were in Arkansas but not live in South Carolina.
PB FIT was a game changer for us!
Love your gardens!!!!
Thank you so much!
Try growing better boy tomatoes, they always grow well for us in GA and water them first thing in the morning.
Ok..great! Thanks! :)
I planted big boy Towanda (3-17-2022) in Kansas put them under pop bottles
enjoyed so much i need to do the same thing
Tomato’s grow on my shaded porch. Gets afternoon sun indirect and they are beautiful.
That's awesome! I hope to have success this year! Third time's a charm they say...who is they by the way? Wow! I am rhyming up a storm 🤣. Anywho...glad you are having such success ❤️
"Let's Get into It!" I waited for the thumbs up. Not gonna lie.
You have to! It wouldn't have been complete with out the thumbs up! 😜
I am excited to see your videos on tinctures and salves. Also the vanilla extract.
I have done a video on tinctures and the vanilla extract is in the works:). Here's the tincture link:czcams.com/video/5SczAvPjgUI/video.html
Here’s a CZcams channel to watch that help you with canning… Make it Make, Amish canning. I just did a bunch of stuff that way and it’s great. And make your own peanut butter! It is SOOOOOOOOO much better than the store bought.
One thing is to water in the evenings or very early morning, especially if you use a sprinkler. The drops become a lot of tiny magnifying glasses in full sunlight.
Thanks for the tip!
Another thought for you is to make sure there's enough air to flow between the plants. I learned this the hard way this past summer. Soaker hoses work well too. I think because it's so hot there, you'll want to water the roots and not the leaves. The leaves will act as an umbrella and the roots won't get all the water they need. Good for you for trying to get back to organic and treating your bodies well! A good channel to follow is Acre Homestead. She's an organic learn as you go gardener that I really enjoy.
Ope! The next video I watch I see you have made homemade vanilla! I'm a new subscriber, keep sharing!
DIY Homemade vanilla recipe is to come. :)
For your juice, you can use Weck canning jars for freezing. They have the same shape as your plastic containers🌸🖖💚
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know.
Yes. Filtered-ish sun for your tomatoes… and Roma tomatoes for your paste
Great video. The woman loves her worms 🤣😂 💕
Yes I do 🤣
I’m glad you are going organic. Wonderful thing for those who can afford it, like some of us. But right now as high as everything is, and the shortages, what you are putting in the garbage donate it to a food bank, or church. Some people will need it and will not care if it’s organic or not. I’m sure that’s what you’ll do with it anyway. Have a wonderful blessed day.
So, I would like to set you mind at ease...I only threw away things that were really out of date, you didn't see the huge box that I did donate. Please don't assume that you know my heart. I am not wasteful nor self-centered.
I don't do well on grains/flours, unless they are sprouted ancient styles like you mention in the recent Haxman video. I eat mostly meat and fermented foods... but if the alternative is starvation...
If you already do canning, look into fermenting (if you haven't already). I'm also going to start preserving citrus since it's so easy and I can't get produce reliably (or grow those here).
We haven't learned canning yet, but that will be coming soon. We have dabbled in fermenting, but defiantly want to explore more because it is sooo good for you. Lots to learn! 😁
Soooo Inspiring :-)
Thanks!
i have that salt from Redmans as well as the toothpaste and clay they have. love the products.
Brown sugar is regular sugar and molasses. Powered sugar is just grinding your own sugar to powder
Manteca is Spanish for lard sometimes butter butslang
LOL! I turned the box around after filming and saw the "lard" word 🤦♀️. I got rid of it and now I render my own:)
Buy netting to put on them mine have purple
Try Boulder Canyon chips. Sam's Club usually has a big family size bag.
Awesome! Thanks so much!
Great video! Show us how to make vanilla!
Coming soon! 😁
Looking forward to seeing the vanilla video
Hoping to film it this coming week and putting it up soon afterwards :)
Can you link the cell video? I would love to share that with my family. I try to teach them, but it doesn't filter into their thought process.
I couldn't find the exact video, but this one is good too.czcams.com/video/D3XAsZrlCtc/video.html
Meal plan and have a prep and cook day. Not Shure how old kids are however they can help. Prep
YES! Working on these. :)
And with your honey… get local/neighbor honey cause it’s got all the good stuff from your area that you need in it… and if you’d like to learn how to make mead out of the raw honey you have…. Let me know… it’s worth it!
Wow, just found you guys. Are you on any other forms...Facebook, etc?
Not right now :)
Hi, I'm new here. I watched this video a few weeks ago and I ❤️ your honest responses to things, I am a mum who is in that constant voyage navigating one small very picky eater. We have been trying to eat healthier over the last few years and it's so hard on a tight budget with that one little that will not eat if he doesn't like what's served. I end up making two meals sone nights (please no hateful words I am not proud of this) just so he isn't hungry. I want to start grinding our own wheat, as you convinced me of the healthful benefits of it. Do you have any tips for picky eaters (he will be 6 May 4th) and have you tried making homemade pasta? He loves noodles. Sorry for the novel, love your channel!
I love novels! Glad you are here! I have three girls and my middle child has always been the picky one. My only tip is make your meal for everyone and include something within that meal that he already likes. That's what I do, because this mama just makes on meal :) That will cut down on your stress and put you back in the drivers seat. He will probably be more encouraged to try new things if he is happy with seeing something he already likes among new foods to try....does that make sense? Parenting can be a challenge but he won't starve if all he eats are his potatoes. I hope this helps! Pasta making is on the books!
@@homewithkim it does, it got much easier once I convinced him that spaghetti noodles taste like other noodles lol thank goodness for pasta at this point! That's a big part of why I'm interested in milling whole wheat berries, he likes his pasta and breads, thanks for responding! Take care ❤️
what are the diff wheat berrys used for ???
Hard red/white are used for yeast breads. Soft white is used for pastries. Those are just the basics :)
Your snack drawer would last me 2 or 3 years! 😂😂😂
🤣

This is a lot like what you were saying about what your soul looks like based on the food you're eating but water version.
We are Saved by Grace Through FAITH NOT WORKS. Salvation is a free gift from GOD given to those all who will believe LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED AS A SALVATION LAMB for our sins by the BLOOD OF LORD JESUS CHRIST HIS BLOOD CLEANSES Our SINS !!!
