Lovely guide to paint a body. I did tons of those back in the day. If you heat the paintcan up in warm water for 15 minutes before painting, it should not be spitting. The heat helps the paint to flow better out the nozzle.
Anston Armstrong Definitely more affordable but still upwards of like $500 lmao and good bodies are soooo annoying to find online. The hobby sites are really dodgy most of the time. Like they never tell you things are out of stock until you are like 100% ready to purchase. But still a really fun hobby to get into.
Marble is just setting a base coat then layering on another color and using Saran wrap or even a balled up news paper and dabbing the wet paint gently revealing pieces of base coat creating a marble effect. Easy. Custom painting is easy, the hard part is laying even coats without zebra stripes and keeping it clean without fish eyes. Anything you want to learn is here on CZcams. Research.

Absolutely gorgeous! When I moved from off-road to on-road I grabbed a mk3 Escort shell. Went for a metallic blue with white racing stripes, and the white final coat really made it pop.

This body came out looking killer. It wouldn't have occurred to me to back silver with black, I totally would have blown it by backing the silver with white and making the final color too bright. Totally excited to see you guys do more with RC, and hell yes make hoonigan RC sticker sheets!!

I had a Frog. That was my first RC car. It's been a long time for me. The last kit that I put together was a Clod Buster that i put a Grace Digger body on. Now my son is getting into it with a Traxxas Slash 2WD. I'm getting the itch again for it. Maybe a drift RC car that will need a Hoonigan sticker is in my future

I have a 56 Chevrolet nomad body as a tail dragging drift car. The tall rear roof let's it get down low in the rear. Leaving spats on gives it a wicked look

With translucent paint from tamiya, this is almost a must. ‘Normal’ colours don’t do that as much
I do that on every can , wether I’m spraying primer on some rusty junk or laying down some expensive paint on a guitar.

That came out awesome. Warm the spray can in some warm water before you spray, works way better and should help with the spatter.
