- Painting a clear body shell is not too difficult if you have painted something before, just a bit different as the paint goes on the inside. The key to a great result is taking your time masking and cleaning thoroughly to avoid bubbles and contamination. man that body looks so good you have inspired me to paint a stampede body! great job man love the video
Man, I love that color. nice job.
Great video man I’ll definitely use this when I paint my car.
I'd give real money to have had you walk that finished product outside in the sun for us. I can absolutely see that the camera did not do that justice. probably would've in the sun, maybe. man that's a beautiful job!
Awesome video! It was very informative. I’m getting ready to paint my first body for my TRX4. I wish you had set your mustang body on the chassis at the end though! You left us hanging. Lol
Very Nice !! Good Job !!
thanks will need this tutorial for when i get my new body. subscribed and liked. I also have started creating rc content lately. its so much fun !
Awesome video!!
I had to comment, that is absolutely beautiful sir!!!😳 And it takes quite a bit to impress me, you definitely did though!!!💯👍🏻😎
Awesome job
I will admit! I wasn’t Expecting that at all ( the final finish) good stuff bro!
Nice work 👏
great video, much appreciated. thankyou . subbed & liked
Love the colour
Thanks for sharing Sir👍👍👍👍
Aren't you supposed to wash the inside of the the body first before masking ??
Yes. I first use a fine scotch brite to lighrly scuff (not on windows) then clean with dawn dish soap. (Let air dry) then mask. Spaz-stix makes a good body prep as well.
Did you not watch the whole video before commenting? He washed the inside after making.
Myself I score the body all around with the hobby knife then I cut out the wheels but I see you did a good job came out really nice bud
An excellent video of what colors you used and which company
Great job! Please could you tell me the exact colors you used? I love that effect
thats sick
Nice man 👍
Pretty cool video, learned a lot.thx.p.m.
What paint and backer please? Want to order the right ones. . Thanks for the video. Car looks great.
I just got a clear body for my rc truck. Didn't even occur to me to paint the inside of the body, lol. Thank you for the video. What exact brand(s) of the metallic backer and paint did you use. You might have said it but I missed it. Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing this technique, I am painting a smaller scale, clear 1/24 slot cars; so you gave me some great tips, my question is for clear bodies like these, what are the recommended paint brand ?
Also, the smaller clear bodies don't come with cutouts for the Windows etc. What would you recommend, like blue masking paint tape ?
Last, can you list what scissor you were using?
Thanks Mike
I use tamiya polycarbonate paints and his scissors can be bought by searching rc hobby scissors
Top job but should of used fine sandpaper on the wheel arch's to get rid of the roughness and smooth them out , same with post holes use you straight scissors to cut the excess and a very slight rub with fine 240 grit but yes top job looks good.
What Paint are you using?
Nevermind i slowed the video down and found it. The Paint is "Spaz Stix Candy Red Paint"
Hola, vi que no usaste pintura Tamiya ¿Que marca es la que usaste?
Hi do u know how to remove mat black ps tamiya clear coat from the out side off the rc 110scale car body shell
Is this candy translucent or metallic paint u are using?
Before Pealing the outer Skin, I take a Dremel Tool and Clean up the Wheel Well Area Nice and Smooth and the Body Mounts I score the Hole Area and use another Dremel Grinder for the Holes as a slow- Medium Speed!
What the code of this pain??
Is that lawa orange?
Or candy red?
If I use black can I use one plain color there entire time
? What was the paint on the body at beginning video "chameleon"
What color red is it please metallic???
pro tip from a restoration tv show.. when painting.. make some type stand and hang your item from it and let it dangle in the air. they say it helps the paint not run. painting in the air is what they say to do
from all the instructions I've seen it says paint then cut... i think its so the edges dont chip as much
good guide thanks for the video, gotta be honest my least favorite part is the painting.
Wat paint u using bro
-that thing screams for a thick stripe straight down the middle…gdjob though-
Who told you that was a 69? they were wrong! it's a 68 with a style of a 69 rear spoiler, beautiful color! good video otherwise!
