Nice job. Maybe consider some fades and drop shadows next time around. White nose faded into pink. Drop shadow for some depth on the "flames". Looking good.
That's how I've been doing it for thirty years.. Just don't press so hard with the blade. You don't want to cut the body, hold the blade close to parallel and let it ride smoothly on the polycarbonate.
Great knowledge , thank you!
That’s was brilliant mate, great job and thanks 👍🏻
Thank you! Im glad you enjoyed it :)
you should try the Ryan harries method of just baking the body in the oven till its done and got the design and colout you desire.
Agree 100% prep is the hardest part. New to airbrush and liquid mask always used rattle cans. Painting is one of my favorite parts not great at but that will come in time. Still learning to cut the liquid mask without going to deep that is my struggle
Totally agree! Just takes time and patience and only one way to learn… do it!
Body looks awesome!! 😎👍
Thanks!!
Hey man looks damn good!!!! Great job !!!!
Looks sick mate. It’s an amazing color scheme and very cool lines
Appreciate the comment and watching :)
Amazing paintjob!! I like this colour combination a lot! Maybe I try that scheme on my next body.
Awesome! Glad you like it , what model is your next body for?
It's a 1/24 scale power wagon.
Great vid
Thank you
be very interested on how the smaller guns work out on the smaller compressor, you still using the 1/4hp one from a previous video, i have the hobbynox compressor smaller of 2 and would love to spray mask but most say it cant,
Love your paint jobs 👌🏻. Are you able to spray the liquid mask through your iwata brush?
Thanks! Still learning all the time.. for sure not , it’s a .35mm needle , you’d want at least a 1mm plus size to have any chance!
do you have any issues with the body splitting at the mask cut lines? the pressure used looks enough to cut the shell out with cut and snap method, thanks
Not yet.. I do apply a fork pressure but not enough to split later down the line , especially on these kits bodys.
how did you have 2 layers of overspray film on the outside of the body? you had one you drew the outline on and then the regular one
Only 1 layer , I removed the pen with isopropyl alcohol cleaner rather than remove.. :)
Do you do paint shells for others or just for yourself? I'm looking for my hyper VSE shell to be painted. The teal works well with the pink
I don’t paint for others , I don’t think I’m at that standard yet! Plenty of awesome painters around!
Thanks for letting me know. Keep up the good work, it was an interesting watch 👍
Can you brush in the liquid mask? I don’t have another gun, and taping off is a major pain
Yes you can :) just use a nice soft brush.
Where do you get the Hex stencils ? what size are they ( the hex )?
Bitty design... the larger one offfered! around 8mm id say
What's going on so 2 layers did I skip something 😂
Kinda left out the whole step where you had to deal with the liquid mask, and all the pitfalls that come with applying it.
Its great to show a painting tutorial, but if you leave our, arguably, the most important and critical step to the prep work, its all for naught.
I didn’t intend for this one to be super detailed like my other videos , this one is kinda part of my B7 series… although good feedback thanks for watching :)
