    I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. czcams.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.

    I was wondering why so much heat was coming out of the side of our engine. You're video explaining the fan pushing air through to help cool the block makes total sense. I thought a gasket might have blown.

    • @jtkasprick
      @jtkasprick  Před rokem

      All engines produce heat because of combustion. The harder you work an engine the more heat it will produce. You will either have an air cooled, fan cooled (like this one) or a liquid cooled system. These three are the most common. A cooling system is vital to prevent damage from overheating.

    Very informative. Thank you. Was that residual oil still left in the bottom of the case after draining?

  • @ProCleanPW
    @ProCleanPW Před rokem

    I have set up my trailer so that it’s difficult to change the oil on the gx390. Would a suction oil extractor be efficient? Is there access to the bottom of the pan from the dipstick? Just want to make sure I don’t leave too much residue behind at the bottom by not using the drain plug

    • @jtkasprick
      @jtkasprick  Před rokem

      A suction extractor may work. But you are right to think it may not get it all. The dipstick opening goes straight to the bottom of the sump (pan).

    very nice video...I have a issue I hope you can help me with. I have a Honda GX390 on a generator. I replaced the crankcase shaft oil seal as it was leaking. I installed in flush with the engine case. After running for awhile it started leaking again. I thought the seal needed to be counter sunk a bit so I replaced it again. And after running for a short time it has started leaking again. Im not sure where to go from here. Both times replacing the seal I used steelwool to clean the shaft and it seems smooth with no defects. Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance

    • @jtkasprick
      @jtkasprick  Před rokem +3

      I was thinking maybe you have excess crankcase pressure. I was going to do a video on this but haven't had time. There is a passage that goes from the crankcase along the cylinder and into the cylinder head. When the piston is traveling down it will increase the crankcase pressure. When it travels up it will decrease the pressure. The passage allows outside air to move in and out of the crankcase. Similar to a PCV system on a vehicle engine. If you take the valve cover off you should see a small round hole near the valves, not where the pushrods go. Closer to the top. If you pull the engine over you should feel air coming out as the piston moves. If it is plugged this could cause increase in pressure and force oil out of the seal.

    You don't need a puller to remove these flywheels, just put the nut level with the thread end and then one solid tap with a lump hammer will remove it.

    • @jtkasprick
      @jtkasprick  Před rokem +1

      There are no bearings supporting the cam. It is the cam journals in the aluminum case and front cover. Did you loosen the valve adjustment nuts to remove any tension on the valve train?

    Do you happen to know if Honda has an electric start kit for a 2012 or later Honda GX390. All the kits I have found online (Amazon, Ebay, etc.) are for a 2011 or earlier model year. I know Honda currently offers versions of the GX390 with electric start, but cannot for the life of me find a kit for one that didn't come with from the factory. I know the flywheel and I believe the coil is different on the 2012 and later models. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

      There is a decompression valve located on the rear of the camshaft on the exhaust lobe. It lowers compression pressure for starting. Maybe it is not working properly.

      Are you holding the trigger open on pressure gun? Once the pump builds up pressure in the hose, that engine will feel locked.
