- In this video we spend 35 minutes cracking jokes with legendary game developer Al Lowe. We joke about starring in a Leisure Suit Larry movie, Freddy Pharkas fighting skills, Sierra On-line adventure games, Al Lowe's jokes and how Metal Jesus Rocks almost got Al sued.
Long story long, we pretty much just laugh and play through the whole video and I think I speak for MYSELF when I say that you will enjoy it.

Thanks for this one, i wondered what is Al doing. He is great guy, i am sorry there arent many adventure games on par what he did back in those days.. Al, please come back, we need you :)
I completely agree.
The first game I played on my dad's PC in 1992 when I was ten was the first EGA game. It was a ripped copy that my dad's friend gave him. I remember calling him for help when I got stuck at the fire escape. It's funny that Larry was likely played more by little boys than by the intended audience.

Al mentioned the movie "40 Year Old Virgin", but referred to a scene in "Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo". I remember Al a couple of years ago having said that he considered Rob Schneider as Deuce Bigelow to be a movie adaptation of Leisure Suit Larry as well, so maybe there was a bit of a mix-up in there?
I was wondering about that. I didn't remember that and went back to add it to.the video and it wasn't there. Thanks for explaining because it's been racking my brain. 🤪
At the very beginning of the music video for ABBA's "I Still Have Faith In You", there is a button on the wall. When I looked, I remembered LSL7 and a button on the wall where the booths were...8-)

Wonderful interview, a lot of insights that are so enjoyable ! Have a bit of questions : I understand that Larry's not in his element in the present as the last two game tried to emulate sadly, so why there was no sequel to the kickstarted game ? Could it be some day ? Or maybe a game with other characters / from the franchise that could evolve in the world of LSL with actualized points of views ?
Out of LSL, what are the news of Al Lowe for the future ? Is he much online outside his website / this video ? Would be a banger to see him on tiktok tho !

Thanks Epistol. I think I can speak for him and say that there was some issues between the two parties that left Al disgruntled.
He is happily retired and told us there will not be a comeback.

Al needs to make one more larry game remake of the land of the lounge lizards.although it needs to be a full fmv version with really good actors placed in the 80s hilarious jokes.the could make all the death scenes overly gory like the game harvestor.actually🤔the main character in harvester would be the the perfect larry!!!!you’ve always been a kidder larry!!that game would probably be a biography for that actors real life 😂it would be a hell of a kickstarter
You were so much of my childhood Mr Lowe.. but whoever chose to make those crazy annoying questions to get on the game should be shot.
