Installation Alley at Corvettes at Carlisle always has me mesmerized when these guys do their installs. My GS had headers, performance cats, x-pipe installed installed in 1.0 hour. They don't even wait for the car to cool down. They just don fire-proof glove and start to work. Plus, these guys do it for 8 hours a day. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️

Great video. I want this catless x-pipe for the c7 corvette but I can't find it on the corsa website. Did they discontinue it? I can only find the x-pipe that bolts onto the cats. Do you have a part number for this corsa catless x-pipe?

scott barker it should not, unless the issue can v e directly blamed on this pipe. The nice thing is, with the shield in place, the dealer will never know (unless you bring it in with an exhaust leak). It hasn’t triggered any codes in our car.
Always go to dealer to have that answered. Some are great. Some are terrible. Interior noise? I’ve seen a bad dealer down here deny due to exhaust mods causing vibrations. Always go to your dealer you’ve been loyal too
What state do you live in? do you need a tune to pass smog without te 2nd cats?

So this x-pipe still uses the front cats? I want to delete the rear set of cats but not the front.

Also besides no cel (cause its post oxygen sensor) its sounds really good.... its actually pretty loud. It doesnt stink either smells stock. Been on it for 2 years i can't go back. Pull the exhaust fuse while your at it!
It does not sound that much louder but maybe its the audio?
It is not a lot louder (except at cold start), it just had a better, deeper sound with more burbles on throttle lift. It’s a mild change; if you want a more wild change, go with headers and a full exhaust.
@@SonsofSpeed Bummer don't want to void warranty with a tune for LTs.. was hoping for a more pronounced difference in volume for the price as well are a few extra HP.
The change reminds us of the old “loud” button they used to put on car stereos back in the 80’s and 90’s - a general enhancement with fuller sound, and it’s a nice sound at idle as well. After about 9 months, we’re still happy with the result, but then again, we weren’t trying to wake the neighbors either 😉
How many hp and torque did it add? DId it improve 0-60mph or 0-80mph times?
mrpmj00 we would say not enough for it to be noticeable. The biggest difference is just in the audible department.

Would a smog check really catch this? The secondary CATS are not monitored, and its hidden underneath the skid plate, so you cant tell.

We would imagine so, everything was installed for us while we waited, and we didn’t bring any clamps to the install 🙂

Cords no longer makes the Double Helix X pipe. The Joe Biden EPA has clamped down on aftermarket exhausts.
How much were they charging for axle backs there ?!
Not sure, we didn't grab a price sheet, unfortunately.
It definitely sounds better with the new x pipe however it doesn't compare to the exhaust note of the Shelby GT350 that's in a class of its own.
