You should always use safety glasses/goggles when using a grinder plus a mask for the fine dust, plus you should clamp the tile in your workbench vice to enable the use of both your hands when using the grinder. I've seen too many accidents to not pass on this advice. Cheers.

I had a situation where i had to make a hole with around 80mm diameter to the edge of the tile. There was under 1cm of tile left on the very edge of the hole. I didn't plan my tiling work around the holes really so ended up in that situation. Managed to cut it but damn was it challenging...

Also nippers produce less dust. So better for the lungs. Thanks for the video. Very clear

Excellent. Do you use the hammer action on the hand drill at 23:30 please? It sounds like it. Many thanks for a speedy reply :)

So really you could just like some pliers to break off those pieces after making those mini cuts. Nice.

Great video but I’d like to see same on porcelain tiles, as most good bathrooms are made with these tiles

The same advice applies to any other rotary equipment (drill) being used.

Thanks John, I do mention to make sure you follow all the PPE advice for the tools you’re using. Pretty obvious really! I’m making a demonstration video here so forgive me if I don’t wear my hazmat suit. Thanks for your comment.

Made a right meal out of that toilet waste hole tbh. Just go around the circumference with the grinder at an angle.
