Hasbro has definitely proven that the Ghostbusters toy rights are in good hands.
Kind of criminal that this wand doesn’t attach to the pack. I suppose I’ll need to 3D print something or “MOD” this for my son.
I didn't expect it to actually attach to the pack as that would require actual work on the part of Hasbro to make that happen. Thankfully I've seen some other videos online on how to mod it to make it attach to the pack.

Glad you did a review of this because I was REALLY on the fence about getting this after seeing this in stores but after seeing it in action here I will definitely be picking one up and doing some mods on it to make it look more movie accurate. Definitely cheaper than the Spengler Wand for sure and perfect for cosplay in many ways.

Actually that would be neat to have the trap in the wand. A new button that lowers the stream pulling the ghost into the wand's trap.
I really want this. I still have my original proton pack from the 80s (the wand trigger is broken, unfortunately), along with the 80s ghost trap. I recently bought the re-released Ghost Popper.
So, I got mine for Christmas and I love the heck out of it. I also found something I didn't expect: you know that little knob right next to that clippard? You can interact with it just like the stream intensifying knob (I experimented with it)

That is so damn cool! Kinda wish I had a kid to get it for. Sadly my nephew is not a Ghostbusters fan. I don't even know if he's seen the movie....
I got one of those on Friday after seeing Ghostbusters Afterlife, and i was looking at painting it to make it look more screen accurate
Honestly I got this tonight because I needed something to complete my GB costume (man hopefully Spirit Halloween restocks those packs on their website again soon :( I was really hoping to get one), but even still I’m impressed by this thing

How big is it compared to the Spirit Wand that comes with the Proton Pack? How would it look painted (movie colors) to go with the Spirit Proton Pack? That would be a good video.

This one is awesome my son and I loved it! Needs more lights ez mods tho.
I have the this toy and I modified it and made a proton pack for it witch was my 2nd one I have ever made and it was way to big even for my dad so I made a third one witch was a box with some stuff on it to look cool and I reused the toy for the third one but then I scraped both pack 2 and 3 for different builds and made my fourth one out of the second one with one thing + reusing the toy again and painted it to look more accurate

This must be the modern equivalent of the ghost projector.
The yellow bit is a ghost containment cell. or a GCC.
So you cam make a proton rifle essentially. The one I got is having issues with the front grip rotating the black part to expose the Spud. It won't rotate it but it will unlock it and can be rotated open by holding the black part and doing it manually. Any troubleshooting ideas?
Does anyone know if this will attach to the afterlife kids pack in place of the standard wand?

without the attachments, how does the MOD size up next to the $15 version? are they basically the same size? or is the MOD larger?
this one is larger the other seems flimsy and is ok for what it is

Looks great I’m thinking about getting it for Halloween customizing it and attaching it to my Deluxe Proton Pack from about 2019 that broke sadly but I put just paint the Proton Blaster black and rusty and attach it to the Proton Pack very excited

Just bought this for my kid. Is there an off button? Can’t figure that out and there were no instructions
Did you ever find an off button. My son has just been gifted one for his birthday and I can't work out how to turn it off either
@@SamFr1000 nope. It turns off on its own after 30 secs or so. Wish it had one, once in a while it goes off in middle of the night so we don’t keep it in his room anymore

Ugh, I love the video game but HATE that all packs and wands “overheat” now.
Got this for my son. Pretty cool though disapointed it doesn't attach to the proton pack like the cheaper blaster.

This is the least-intuitive, most annoying live action toy I have ever played with. The two switches do nothing, but it is extremely easily accidental to hit the semi-hidden button which actually turns it on. The gimmick is all the various modifications, and if that is your thing I suppose it might work for you. To me, it seemed like a random assortment of slapdash crap put together poorly. Also, why have the semi-clear plasma stream if you aren’t planning to give it a light-up feature as well? Makes it seem like the piece is burned out, but pretty sure it never lit up. This is a Frankenstein’s monster of a toy, and frustrates me to no end. Good video, though! It helped me figure out how it kinda sorta is supposed to work. The switches which do nothing, while the actual on button frustrates, makes me give this a thumbs-down. Save yourself $30 and skip this, unless you are an absolute line completist. It probably will look cool displayed properly. That is about the only compliment I can give,
