My son would have loved these when he was little. Instead he had to suffice with a proton pack I made out of cardboard, shoelaces, paper plates and a squirt gun for the neutrona wand. Durability - 2; Playability - 5.

I'm planning to get one for my 4 year old. She loves slimer and the real ghostbusters cartoons. Which has her old man quite proud lol
When I was a kid my Kenner neutrona wand snapped in half (front barrel just came off one day and I could never fix it) so I kinda dig that you can buy a replacement wand lol. I just turned 30 in June and I still can't believe Ghostbuster toys are finally on store shelves. I was young enough when EGB came out that I collected all of those toys, but movie merch is what I've waited my whole life for. Thanks again for the incredible channel/ content!

It's a frickin' toy, the average child doesn't care about how "screen accurate " it is , all they care about is, "is it fun to play with?"

It’s definitely more screen accurate than the RGB one was, back in the day. And I mean in comparison to its animated counterpart (obviously it would be different from the live action incarnation).
Im a teen, and i find these items perfect for customizing. Painted them the original colours andbit looks fablous

You touched on a VERY important thing here. This stuff is aimed at kids. I think that is forgotten a lot when it comes to this stuff.
Why not make things for kids better? $30 is a lot of money for a half shell.

My dream Halloween costume is to be ghostbuster from the cartoon, dark blue proton pack, jumpsuit with colored lapels.
No idea which charcter I could pull off though as I don't resemble any of em :/

Still have mine from when I was a kid in the late 80's. I modified it with light bulbs and a 9v battery when I was 12. Might have to pick this one up, too.

Excellent review. Not meaning to dampen anyone’s excitement, but now that we’ve seen how the hook attaches to the basic blaster it seems there is not a built in way to attach the MOD blaster to the pack. Oh well. Something else for us to ... MOD...

We know that in honor of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, those kid-friendly Ghostbusting equipment toys came out in any store. When I saw them, I thought to myself “Why would I want these when there’s way cooler versions of those at Spirit Halloween?”.
Just in the process of modding this product, primed and sprayed it black now going for the more expensive Hasbro look but what I've done so far is very effective, added silver wear areas, IDE ribbon cable, worn look stickers etc. Also doing the wand too.

When I was eight or nine ears old, I would have seriously LOVED to own all these toys as the designs are pretty close to the movie's. Good on them thinking of parents' wallets ^_^
Looks good especially for the price point. I like that they have the attachment points for the accessories thought into it. I've already seen people using this as a base for modifications and adding extra parts and details like the Spirit packs.
One plus about it being hollow is that it gives you free reign when modifying it so you don't have to take it apart as much

You mentioned the Proton Blaster being small. Can we get a size comparison between this, the MOD Proton Blaster, and the Spirit Halloween Proton Pack Neutrona Wand? I'm curious about the viability of switching wands as a "simple" mod.
I'm gonna get one and paint mine black I already have the gun and added tubing and movie accurate straps
Was expecting a comparison to the Real Ghostbusters pack. I pulled mine out recently and was surprised at how small it really is.

If only the proton pack would be like the one from the real ghostbusters.( to be a fullpack and not just half the pack.) I have the pack, both Neutrona Wands, the P.K.E. Meter / Shocker. All I need is The Ghost Whistle.

The Zodiac names are are an anti-theft measure. By arriving under false names, people are less likely to know what they have in the shipping boxes. Only managers know what each name is referring to.

After getting one of the Hasbro neutrona wands, this is disappointing. I hope they make one as accurate as the neutrona wand too. This is fun for kids, but I want an accurate one.

I see you have the ecto-1 from extreme Ghostbusters Just Like I Do. Mine still in the box I took it out once to see what it looks like but I'm going to have to get new screws because the screws are all messed up I've been trying to find Ghostbusters stuff for years but they want so much money it's not even funny if they're going to do the counter Classics they should just bring the firehouse back they should make the better containment unit and the pole to slide down because that was the most problems was the containment unit and the pole on the firehouse I had a bad accident one year we had a fire and it melted all my toys down from Terminator 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I had everything I'm hoping to find a proton pack that I can put on for the afterlife movie when I go I want a professional one but one that's about $200 I know people pay like $600 for one that's way too much money just for lights I know some parts are metal and most of it's plastic and I want the ones that that have the lights and everything that work great and has all the sounds I'm hoping one of like an RC car is made Like Makin Ecto RC car that you can drive around and do the lights and everything that would be awesome there's a couple things I want to get for my room the LED Ghostbuster Ecto 1. It looks pretty nice unofficial Ghostbusters symbol they're hard to find you can just stick it on the wall and you can flip the switch put batteries in it. I do like does proton pack and the gun it looks really good and now they have one that has lights and stuff that's pretty good I had stickers and styrofoam that's pretty much what the proton pack is just plastic and stickers it should have made one with lights on it some LED lights that would be pretty cool I'm going to be 36 soon I remember growing up having all the stuff and I'm still collecting but I'll never get to what you have that's extreme and it's not cheap I don't make enough money to get anything like that but I'll say you have a great collection I've Ghostbuster stuff I collect everything. But thank you for the video and letting us know about the proton pack next month I want to get all the Kenner classics if they have the echo if they don't oh well funny most likely you can order it but thanks for the video I appreciate it and again I love your collection

The Amazon listing is from a third-party seller. The Proton Packs should be in stock directly from Amazon soon, returning it to the $15 price tag. Entertainment Earth did just sell out again, but as shown on the site, restocking should be sometime next month.
