This was always an amazing fight. Unfortunately you didn't show her what happened after the fight. Piccolo Daimaoh put all of his essence into an egg and spit it out. Out of that egg came Piccolo Daimaoh Jr., the Piccolo we know now.

Goku is 12 tops in episode one maybe a year skip till the tournament 13then a year to beat the Red ribbon army 14 then 3 years before next tournament 17 and the maybe a year befofe he defets piccolo.18 and at the end he's 21 and maybe 28 in beganing of dbz 29 vs vegeta almost 30 when super sayain 34 adroids heart virus vs cell 35 or 36 7 year time skip 43 so bluma should be 46 but what ever. 11 years later at end of z he's 54 years old 7 year skip? He's 61 and turned to kid a year in space a year of baby 63 I wish he was 64 cause thats about how many episodes GT has and that might be 68 episodes.

Really iconic fight here. You gotta check out Krillin bs Tambourine / Krillin dies for the first time to see why Goku was so hyped up and motivated for this fight.
This will also explain why Frieza killing Krillin hurt Goku so much he lost it and became a Super Sayian. The Earth Dragon was back and could bring someone back one time but Goku knew it wasn't Krillin's first time.
Maybe the most disappointing thing about Dragon Ball Z is that Goku stopped merc-ing people.

its crazy how he just kills drum lol....he never does that again until what the monster on babadi's ship?..even with boo he revives him and we know he did not kill freezer...goku does kill tambourine but he killed kururrin so he deserved it and then daimao killed roshi so...he also deserved it..and he revives sorta anyways with his egg...since its sorta still him in ma junior..drum did not kill tenshinhan..yet goku just kills him straight up...kinda foreshadows what gohan did to the cell jr.s lol

he was 15.5. when he fought daimao....11.5 at the start of the show...then a few weeks passed to get the balls.....he was 12.5 at the 21st budokai..so he was 12 during most of the training with roshi and kururrin which lasted 9 months i want to say...yeah something like that then 18.5-19 when he shows up at the 23rd budokai

Goku was in his teens throughout dragon ball, he didn't necessarily grow up with them but just met everyone gradually. Great reaction as always.

@@housegarrett theres 4 moments goku changes in original dragonball.....episode 19 after 9 months of training to go with the few weeks of looking for the dragonballs to start the show so he looks a lot bigger then he did in say episodes 1-18 and then theres episode 84 where its been years and he looks much longer and older then in the first 82 eps and then episode 120 where he looks way more angular despite it being only like a week later but because of his training he looks stronger and then episode 133 where he looks 19 despite being possibly a few months away still from turning 19....and he looks like what you know him to look like which was a big risk for the author to do at the time...at the start of dbz he looks bulkier cause its ben over 5.5 years but he does for sure have more muscle once he returns to earth after he died and learns kaioken and then again when he lands on namek when he trains in 100x gravity and again he grows in muscle when he faces cyborg 19 after the 2.5 year timeskip and then again when he fights buu 7 years after that he looks even more rip and then at the end of the series hes got muscles for days cause of that 5-6 year timeskip

I came to original DB after DBZ and I thought it was a better show because there was choreography. The wildest part is seeing the DNA of all of DBZ on display during the last Goku vs Piccolo jr fight.

2:39 hm, I feel like Goku vs Tien (both the 2nd and 3rd tournament), Goku vs Krillin (2nd tournament) and Goku vs King Piccolo get their due credit by the fans, because the choreography is > most of DBZ (and because of the war of attrition vs King Piccolo.
Just like Piccolo vs 17 (coreography), Goku vs Majin Vegeta (coreography and emotional stakes) and Cell vs Vegeta (final flash), despite all being "somewhat lesser fights" get their credit.

15 and a half...he was about to be 12 when he started training with roshi..he was still 11 though....hes 12 and a half during that 21st budokai and then theres a three year timeskip to when he fights tenshinhan and then this arc happens and we can't forget the few weeks where he fought the red ribbon army/pilaf gang and muscle tower and tao and general blue and the base and then baba's 5 fighters and all that stuff too..

*scene....and they did change his design..he is way more angular sharp and his hair is a lot bigger..the thing is 12 year old goku is a bit shorter..like a full foot shorter and less buff less hair and more round and 11 year old goku is even shorter less buff more round then that so......you can tell the 5 different goku's apart pretty easily..theres episode 1 goku episode 19 goku and episode 84 goku and then episode 120 goku and then episode 133 goku ....now eps 84 and 120 version of goku are very slight in their differences cause hes roughly the same age just a bit more angular in how hes drawn...

It wasnt just Piccolo that changed. Almost all of Goku's friends started off as a bad guy or just a cocky p.o.s and then came around eventually, even Oolong the pig lol.
