Buu saga doesn't get enough credit. It had some of the sickest fights in the series but I think the whole point of the Buu saga was the completion of Vegeta's story arc and his full transition to hero.
Yeah buu saga has some good ass PARTS, mostly all vegetas scenes. But a lot of it is still dumb tho

It’s crazy cause right after this fight Vegeta was trying to sense Gohan’s energy signal and he could not locate it so he thought Gohan was dead. Vegeta felt remorse and told buu that he was going to destroy him for killing Gohan
I always thought vegeta had control as he wasn’t controlled by babidi. He wanted his old self back but realized what the cost was

Vegetas midlife crisis. I loved this ehen it aired for the first time, but my young mind couldnt comprehend how serious and thought out this storyline was. Might be one of thr best sagas in all of dragon ball. The vengeful vegeta finally died during this saga.

I honestly feel kind of bad for Vegeta 😂 he thought he finally was on equal footing after basically agreeing to give up his free will and Goku was just playing him the entire time
Not exactly true... cause SSJ3 is a wild card for Goku. He is not sure he can do it in the mortal realm yet and was able to achieve the form because he was dead.
So right now he is using the safer option SSJ2.
But yeah, technically, you're right.
These two really need a proper rematch, I don't care if Goku is supposed to be stronger it would be fun.

This fight is cut down to only show vegeta vs goku so it might be confusing why buu punched Dabora into a mountain.

Honestly, in my opinion, Goku vs. Vegeta I and Goku vs. Vegeta II (which this video shows) are the best fights in DBZ. Possibly the whole series. Especially when you factor in the motivations of each character.

It's only the damage the goku receives. Up until this point when they fought babibi's first 2 henchmen those battles contributed nothing to buu because the henchmen were the only ones who took any damage

Goku really took pity on Vegeta in this fight. He had a Super Sayian 3 transformation in his back pocket and held it back to save Vegeta's pride.

I acknowledge that ss3 stomps vegeta many times over the issue lies within the fact that goku couldn't use ss3 because it drained his 24hr clock. Now vegeta lost to fat buu but he blew himself up buu didn't kill him so my thing is just like against kid buu when goku was charging the spirit bomb and vegeta took that beating from kid buu only to get up again and kid buu is easily ss3 level or higher so it's hard to outright say oh vegeta wouldn't have lasted the beating of ss3 and goku wouldn't be trying to kill him so eventually goku would have lost his 24hr clock thus still making vegeta the winner. It's just the actual facts

Whatever damage that Babidi's minions inflict on an opponent, the energy will sent towards Majin Buu
Does kinda beg the question, why didn't Babidi have his stronger minions fight each other all the time? If it weren't for the Saiyans, he'd have the strongest being around to gradually feed Buu energy. Instead he just went around stealing what energy he could from weaker creatures?
@@ShaimingLong the stronger they were, the less likely they were to take the chance, unless they were power-hungry. The weaker ones would take the offer because they wanted power and strength.
@@iamthechadthatisapproachin1559 I dunno, going by Supreme Kai's reactions, Babidi had a good number of "strong" minions. Granted compared to the Saiyan's by that point they were pretty lacking.
But if Dabura was around Cell's level, they could have had sparing matches against him to siphon that energy over time.
It doesn't really matter, it was just a springboard plot element to get to Buu, it's just one of those things that makes me wonder *if* Babidi was using his minions that way, how much further along buu's revival would/should have been.

This was definitely one of the better fights in this arc. Videl vs Supopovich is a good one. If you want a good/funny fight (and you don't mind reading subtitles) watch Yo! Son Goku and friends return. This special takes place 2 years after Buu. The fight is Goten and Trunks vs Abo and Cado. And yes the joke of the villains names is a reference to Avocados....lol.

You rarely see character development like you do with vegeta. Goku was always a flat character with the only development being him "handing the torch" to Gohan. But you can feel the internal conflict within vegeta.

He's supposed to be flat he has no need for development so his development is mild its his unchanging nature that cause those around him to change. Goku represents the theme of the series which doesn't change so why would he

My favorite scene from the whole arc was missing from this. Goku threatened to kill Supreme Kai when he tried to stop Goku from fighting, gave me goosebumps. It's even crazier to think about it now. Had Goku killed him, Beerus would have died too
I know this is long removed from the publish date. But I was looking for some Vegeta reactions and this was really the best I've found yet. I loved the reactions from both of you, but what really stood out for me was.. apologies I'm new and I don't know your guys' name, but when the girl said.. "Did he hold it over you? Or did you hold it over your own head?" was so deep and such a personification of Vegeta as a character, that at times... Some of us men forget. The pride, the ego. I loved the reactions.. But that statement actually left me with a higher emotional response than the fight itself. I hope ya'll are well and thriving. First video I've seen here but i'm subscribing for that nuance.
