    Great review. And I really appreciate the specific clips to go along with what the reviewer is talking about. 95% of mtb reviews are just people talking with B-roll footage and no connection at all to what the reviewer is saying.

    Hey, I'm having a super hard time deciding between these two bikes, so your vids are helping a lot. I do similar stuff to you, few times a week at my locals in Ulladulla, every few months somewhere like Tathra, Cooma, and try to get to every race at Thredbo during summer. Coming from a 2016 trek remedy with 67.5 degree head angle and I'm very over hanging my ass off the back wheel to keep it upright! I'm leaning towards the Sight because Thredbo is what I ride for, and I guess hauling it around the tracks at home will just make me fitter. Cheers

    • @MTBMcPhee
      @MTBMcPhee  Před 2 lety

      Definitely get the Sight. The Optic would be super fun on the local stuff but it would be tiring to ride at Thredbo. If your budget allows you can always get a second wheel set and mount up some lighter rubber for your local trails.

    I agree with many points the author makes in this video. Mine is the large alloy and it is a lot of bike but loves the down hill and is buttery smooth. I am 220 lbs. The only drawback is ground clearance issues even with the shock at max air pressure. I'm thinking about a coil shock as well, with a beefy spring.

    • @MTBMcPhee
      @MTBMcPhee  Před 11 měsíci +1

    Great video, I seen one of these bikes down at the local bike shop and was looking at getting my first dual suspension mtb. Would this be good beginner trail bike?

    • @MTBMcPhee
      @MTBMcPhee  Před 2 lety

      Depends on the trails you're gonna be riding and how much of a beginner you are. If you can get yourself around a trail network and you aspire to riding places like Thredbo then it's a great choice. If you're just starting out and you're only going to be riding flat trails then I'd go for something less aggressive that pedals better like the Optic or the Fluid.
