Unsurprisingly it's somewhere between my Tallboy and Megatower. It's quite supportive, pumps and jumps well. Not overly plush, but I suspect a larger volume shock would help with that.

Yeah that's a good point, you would definitely want full power if that's what all your mates have! I weigh more than Mitch so we pumped up the suspension, I definitely needed an extra token or two in the fork however.

Mullet only for this one. I think I would prefer mullet on an ebike generally, this one was on the smaller side for me and had a short (35mm) stem.

@@gbowen444 thanks for the kind words. I’m currently trying the DJI Osmo Action 4, but most of my videos were shot on gopro 8, 11, and 12. I think you can get great footage from any recent camera if you’re willing to learn what all the settings do 👍

Yes, they are folding bead. The wire bead DH is not microwave compatible.

@@MatTancock I briefly tried the enduro casing kryptotals but the rubber was quite hard. I’d like to give the dh casing super soft a go though 👍

@@MTBMcPhee yeah I put an argotal super soft DH up front and honestly it's quite crazy, the supersoft argo blurs the lines between the enduro kryptotals, makes it a hard choice, but will probably go back to kryptotals I noticed the rubber on kryptotals in enduro soft were harder and they lasted longer than maxxis but they seemed to have more 'mechanical grip' if that makes sense and they felt more predictable and on rails

@@MatTancock yeah I had that feeling too, the tread seems to generate lots of grip. In the wet or on rock was where they fell a bit short and I was left wanting stickier rubber. The contis have gone up a lot in price locally and are about 30% more expensive than maxxis now though 👎

Interested to hear how they compare to the Tacky Chan when you get a chance. Schwalbe used to be more popular around here but now there are no stockists, TC looks like a great tyre however.

Yeah, I tried to buy the DH22's back when Sam Hill was winning on them but they were impossible to find in stock. There should be no such issue this time around with BikeCorp pushing them!

Great video mate 👍, i run the same combo in Maxxis , with bike coming with double Assagais i found the rear very slow and also had the same worry not having the transittion knobs on thre Michelin 🤔 Now as far as first ride in Oz I’m not sure about that as ive been running the same combo Michelin Wild Enduro Racline fornt & Rear for 6 months or more and yeah the rubber is super Tacky & found it actuallyt throws sand pebbles up at your mate apparently lol 😂 I wanted a faster rolling rear & the Michelin is definetly that 👍 As far as not neading Cush Core, thats very debatable & even though Michelin do have a great quality sidewall that is way better than Maxis I’m pretty confident you wont be running 10&12 lb pressures that the Cush Core allows me to for Middle of Winter Red Silvan Clay ! I’m 93 KG and only run 26&28 when doing jump lines & its super dry , otherwise between 18&20 max when wet ! I can confirm the rear Michelin is weraing quite quickly , with front not so bad with only negative with the rear on steep slippery climbs looses traction compared to a DHR ! Cheers 🍻

@archie68x oh yeah for sure there are other benefits to running inserts like you mentioned, but on some casings like exo+ or DD I can’t keep air in the rear tyre without an insert so it’s good to have a casing where they are optional. Funny you mention the sand thing, I had a clip I didn’t include where I was getting sprayed with sand from the pickup of the sticky rubber 😂

@@ottohemio very happy with the vivid air but very curious about the vivid coil. I prefer the vivid air to the SD coil though

@@ottohemio vivid has the "touchdown" system that bypasses the compression damping in the first 10% of the travel. It makes it very supple compared to the SD. It also has more oil volume so overall there is more control.

Sweet! I'm trying to figure out if I should get coil or air. I currently have the stock rs sdu with the Megneg and I'm worried about the progressivity of the bike going with coil. How is it for jumping? Also which coil do you have on it?

@@terr256 I was running a dhx2 but I would get a vivid or SD coil if I was buying now to get HBO. I ran a pretty firm coil spring which was around 20% sag but the high starting leverage of the bike kept it supple. I never ran a megneg but I think that shock would be really great on the Sight so you might e better sticking with what you’ve got, especially if jumping is a priority
