  • The Slip D WAFTER RIG! Catch more with this CARP FISHING Wafter Rig! Mainline Baits Carp Fishing TV
    The versatile 'Slip 'D' Wafter Rig' as we term it here can also be used for bottom baits or pop-ups, but really is a superb way to create a Wafter Rig. The way this carp rig can be set-up 'critically-balanced' under a wafting hookbait, coupled with the mechanics of the 'D' section where the hookbait is blown and ejected over the eye of the hook, creates a quick, reactive presentation for hooking mouthing carp and securing a strong hookhold! Perhaps best of all, the Slip D Wafter Rig is super-easy to tie as we demonstrate here in this step-by-step rig guide!

    Really nice rig!!
    imho you can go further : I would recommend very similar multi rig: looking and working almost indentical but you can change hook in a second.
    Instead of tying knotless knot just make loop using 8loop knot, pull loop throught hook eye, attach microring swivel and over hook, rest same ( kicker, putty, antitangle slevee).

    • @MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV

      @antoniosgwozdz2945 Před 3 lety +1

      Oh you responded! to be precise i would name rig I described: slip-D multi.
      Question:
      I can tie 2 versions of it: with „D” section with coat or without coat (Like in your Video).
      What would be the difference if any?

    • @MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV
      @MainlineBaitsCarpFishingTV  Před 3 lety +1

      @@antoniosgwozdz2945 Its a lot about personal preference really - so for a pop-up I'd prefer the coating on to create more of a D rig, but with a Wafter I'd take the coating away for a softer presentation of the hookbait so it can easily be taken when the hook is laying flat and so the hookbait can slid.

      It would be the first with the hook laying flat on the lakebed, although there are times when you can want that bit more bouyancy and the hook up on the point, like if fish are not mouthing the hookbait and feed aggressively or if lakebed debris is a concern.

    Slip D? It's in the name, sport to pick holes but this is a D rig. Where is the slip? You whipped the wrong end to the hook. You whip the tag end, the shrink tube will hold everything in place so it does not in ravel, you can then adjust the loop size to as you need, plus when hooking a fish the knot slips. It's no the name. LMAO.
