- 1.6 THP - Seat Ibiza Cupra Intercooler upgrade.
For the Peugeot 3008 there are no complete intercooler set available, like Airtec and Forge have for the 207 and 208. Customizing everything saves a lot of money (compared with the complete sets available on the market).

The Seat Ibiza III Cupra intercooler is twice as big as the stock 1.6 THP intercooler (1440H9). It should be able to cool down the air better than the original intercooler and by doing so gaining some extra power.
I will later on record the inlet air temperature of this setup and of a stock 1.6 THP to measure the difference.

1.6 THP - Mise à niveau du refroidisseur intermédiaire Seat Ibiza Cupra.
Il n'y a pas de jeu complet d'intercooler disponible pour la Peugeot 3008, comme Airtec et Forge l'ont fait pour les 207 et 208. Tout régler permet d'économiser beaucoup d'argent (par rapport aux jeux complets disponibles sur le marché).
Le refroidisseur intermédiaire Seat Ibiza III Cupra est deux fois plus grand que le refroidisseur intermédiaire 1,6 THP standard (1440H9). Il devrait être capable de refroidir l'air mieux que le refroidisseur intermédiaire d'origine et gagner un peu de puissance supplémentaire.
J'enregistrerai plus tard la température de l'air d'admission à partir de cette configuration et d'un stock de 1,6 THP pour mesurer la différence.

I mounted the same intercooler on my new Opel Corsa F 1.5 Diesel with psa engine. The tests scored 173hp in stage 3 with increased original turbine and pressure at 1.85 bar.

Not good idea for engine coolant, you blocked the path way on the main radiator and with hard acceleration the engine will heat up affecting all the engine bay and turbo coolant line to cool faster , i would never risk with my ep6 for a bigger intercooler.

Very interesting video! Can you tell me the problems of this 1.6 THP engine? I read a lot about some engine or especially timing chain problems?
Timing chain and carbon on the inlet valves are perhaps the most common issues for the THP/N14/N18 engines.
Hello @THPTuning , will this modification also fit the Peugeot 508 1.6thp from 2012, without any collision with the radiator?

No, haven't done that yet. Still need to do it, though will compare with a stock Citroen C5 1.6 THP.
Did you find some oil in intercooler? Im thinking about take it out to check oil inside. My turbo is a little "sweating" with oil.
yes, oil was present in the original intercooler.

Hi. is it compatible with Peugeot 208gti 208 hp
It can be fitted on 208 gti, but there is much less space between radiators and crashbar. So you need to cut it (which is not safe) or install some spacers between crashbar and frame.

The DRL is fitted with LED, the main light is factory xenon (which was - in the Netherlands - an option almost nobody choose)

This setup can be used for the 207 THP models and the early 208 GTi models.
