Actually removing the X men didn't save them any money because Fox doesn't have any licensing rights to X-men. They have film publishing rights and that's it. Fox doesn't see a dime out of Toy sales, Comic sales or Game sales. Marvel and disney get all of the money from that.
I wish more people understood this. I would comment the same thing but I'm too lazy to. Also the reason why they didn't include is because it is as free advertisement for Fox movies and Disney doesn't want that.
Kekkersboy it also acts as free advertisement for foxs films based on xmen and f4. And seeing as the films are doing way better than the comics atm, marvel/disney have distanced themselves from the properties, as they see the advantage to the films as outweighing profit from including them in recent games and publications. $$$ is all Marvel/Disney/fox/warnerbros/dc really care about anymore.

Yeah, I know, right? As soon as i first saw Joe's review of this game, 2 years ago, I was hoping Cap could eventually lift Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. And he, did, before Endgame. But, was THIS how Cap was able to use Mjolnir? Through more super soldier serum? I thought they didn't have any more available? Or that maybe Cap decided to work out naturally instead of injecting himself? I'm just glad that a fantasy like Captain America being able to throw around Mjolnir like it was his own, along WITH being able to throw his shield around too, came true!! And, I also loved Endgame. Can't wait for Bucky and Falcon's movie. Because I want to see how people react to the new Captain America, which is either Bucky or Falcon. I hope it's Falcon. Imagine his shield, with Sam's wingsuit, him throwing the shield around, while flying. I'm ok with Bucky being the 2nd Cap, but, I think Falcon's the better character. If he doesn't get the chance to be the next Cap, maybe the other character can use Mjolnir now instead? If it could happen in the comics, let's make it happen in the movies and good games too!

You don't have to make cross-boss to make it good. In fact combining boss would've been cringy. Marvel vs Street Fighter managed to get away with it because MECH-GOUKI was just really a buffed Gouki with cybernatic parts.

That's because more than 90% of the characters were recycled from old games. MVC2 was actually a rather low effort game. Compare that to MVC3/UMVC3 where they had to make 45 characters from scratch (5 were ported from TVC). 50 characters for a game made from scratch is actually an amazing effort.

Speaking of which even with it's endings and single player content most people stopped playing Injustice 2 after a month or less and they catered to casuals. I'm not sure if you guys are all aware of this, but Marvel is fucking over the X-Men franchise on purpose because Fox won't release the rights to Marvel Studios. If you're a fan of comic books you would've known this. They've snubbed them out of the comics because of what's going on with the film side of things.

I created a Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite - Avenged Edition that expands the roster; it not only includes Wolverine and the X-Men, but also includes guest characters Kylo Ren and Spawn as bonus guest characters (similar to Akuma as a bonus guest character and MAIN character in Tekken 7’s story mode).
Always a good video when it starts with Other Joe crossdressing and is inch's away from showing his dong.

He's the almost obnoxiously unkillable uber-villain of Megaman X, showing up as the big baddy for every single game in that storied (and sadly, fallen) Capcom franchise. Destroying the world, taking over and corrupting the mind of innocent reploids, being a general jerkface, and wiping out mankind is his average M.O.... so I have to question why (aside from his somewhat derpy appearance) you would think he was an unsuitable choice for a Capcom lead villain representative?

There were so many things that this game lacked on so many levels and unfortunately gameplay alone isn't really gonna turn that around.
But if you wanna be happy with your shrunken roster in comparison to previous installments, as well as the fact that the characters selected were to basically make more awareness about Marvel's movies, that's fine.

Regardless of how bizarre and outwardly excuses Capcom had come up with to the public, this entire game was made in an attempt to capitalize and piggy back on the MCU's phase 2 and early phase 3 series of films which were at its peak of interest on casual movie goers just by the obvious roster lineup on the Marvel side.
This just proves that Marvel vs Capcom games looks bad on fully 3d character models, at least in MVC3 the characters were given a unique stylistic appearances (artistic shadings, shadowing and lighting) that does not make them look flat just by being 3d models
The general presentation, layout and design is just so underwhelming; menu selection, character select, VS screen, HUD or past match screen lacks artistic creativity to make things lively and animated.
You know AJ is a good videogame critic when you can predict the score he'll give to a game by just what he is saying in the actual review.
I bet all the roster that didn't make it into the game will be DLC.

Characters we needed: EVERYONE from all the previous games, The Arisen from Dragon's Dogma, Asura from Asura's Wrath, Black Knight from Marvel, Moon Knight from Marvel. (They could include the Arisen since they added the female Monster Hunter, which is generic as it gets.)
Darskul Moon Knight would be perfect specially if they also add his Mr. Knight with rolled sleeves for a severe "ass whooping" look.

they have pretty cool looking weapons and armors
and have a shit ton of personality ingame with animations also cooking and felynes (wich im surprised they didn't add to the game).
Imagine if Smash Bros. put out a game without Fox in it. It would be so disappointing. That's what it feels like to have Wolverine, who has been in pretty much every Marvel-Capcom game since X-Men, be absent this time around. Also, those load times were reminiscent of Stuntman on the PS2. Those things were long enough to overcook a hot dog to iron-hardness in a microwave. Marvel vs. Capcom games are some of my favorites, and MvC2 on the Dreamcast was practically my religion for a while, but this may be the low point of the series. Good video.
My only complain with the review was the sigma bit. Ultron and Sigma joining forces makes the most of senses, a true match made in robotic hell. Also Sigma was one of the most requested characters :V

I had this idea for a Marvel vs. Capcom soft reboot, and it was supposed to be like The Next Marvel vs. Capcom 2, in a way. The fighting was going to be 2d, but the graphics were not the same in MvC2 but more similar to Streets of Rage 4. Also, it was going to be all the 90s and early 2000s style for the characters. Roster was going to be big, not like we see in infinite, and there are X-Men characters in there 90's Style costumes just like the cartoon and comics.

I feel that there are so many other Capcom characters that they could have chosen for this game instead of Nathan Spencer from Bionic Commando. They couldn’t use Vergil, Saki Omokane, Captain Commando, Lyn Kurosawa, Batsu Ichimonji, Felicia, Hsein Ko, Akuma, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Albert Wesker, Nero, Wang Tang, Edward Falcon, Cody, Alex, Phoenix Wright, Lady or any combination thereof. Yet they choose Nathan Spencer.
Makes you wonder if Marvel had a say in the Capcom side of the roster as well.

I've bought most of the X-Men movies. I own the X-Men Lego sets, can see them from my desk. I have all the X-Men in the Marvel Heroes game. And current comics - are you referring to the main series like X-Men Blue/Gold or like offshoots like Jean Grey or Cable?

I miss when you used to be able to unlock characters by beating the game. Or doing specific task to get them or the secret characters at the character selection menu.
Me too dude. You know, there's still games like that out there. Like Smash Bros, and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Sure, in FighterZ, there's only 3 hidden characters, but at least you can unlock them through methods that DONT involve stupid shit like having to pay real world money for them. Yeah, you've got to get in-game zeni to unlock 2 of them, but you can also unlock them if you're good at 2 of the arcade courses, or you can get a lot of the zeni in game to get them, no dlc, no having to pay these greedy assholes more money for a low quality piece of shit, which will quickly be forgotten about, like a month or 2 after it gets released, just beat certain hard versions of arcade courses or get lots of zeni to unlock them, which you get from just playing the game's modes, from story mode to even the Vs. Mode. And the arcade mode too. And Smash Bros has been keeping itself clean of this bullshit practice that greedy assholes keep using, and just keeping the series as it should be, being able to unlock characters by just doing certain in-game requirements, and completing them. But, I see what you're saying. It's like satan has taken over our games and keeps releasing bullshit over and over, in his assholish attempts to steal our money. By fucking with our favorite fighting games and turning them into bullshit dlc shitstorms. Fuck dlc, by the way. It can suck my dick. Smash Bros and Dragon Ball FighterZ give us what we want from fighting games, unlocking characters through beating the game, just by playing them. Not sure about the secret menu characters, but definitely the unlocking characters through specific means thing. Let's hope those old days arent dead and buried. They're just beaten, and trying to get back up. We can see those days again, dude. We can get our old ways of playing fighting games back, we just have to be careful. And maybe play more Smash Bros. they keep adding in new characters fans want. Like Banjo-Kazooie, Joker from P5, for example. We just have to be careful, and keep a close eye on these companies and tell them no when they try to peddle bullshit to us. As gamers, we should be able to smell bullshit a mile away. And know when to go for a good game, and when a game's bullshit. Plus, the good games with those things you mentioned never left, we just have to look out for them. They're out there somewhere, dude.... here's hoping we find them.
Sigma might not be the best boss but he is pretty iconic in the mega man series and is the main antagonist.. Would have been cooler if he worked for ultron and then after beating him Ultron would take his powers. Or if the had an infinity stone.

You know the best part? Only the new crossover characters are charged. Harada said that the returned missing characters will be FREE. Yeah, and Tekken 7 introduced 9 new characters that never appeared in the previous game. And they are free.

I fit into that "hardcore fan" level (16 years of playing, tournament experience), and I'm in the general consensus. Graphics are bad in points but actually good in others like Strange's spell effects, launch roster is dog shit, and the game play is the most fun I've had since mvc2.

Edit: I'm reading your comments, and before you rant, I didn't grow up playing a lot of Capcom games growing up. The main reason I complain about Arthur is because he just looks like he doesn't belong in a game like this, at least not for me. I would've preferred Asura over Arthur.
