Itd be pretty op if they were accurately strong. Thor should completely eclipse everyone besides hulk, but that wouldnt be very fun would it lol
They make superhero games with heroes that by default break the conventions of video games by making such powers that the enemies' threat level is reduced to nothing, like with the Hulk. But because it's a video game they have to reduce the Hulk's power level drastically so you end up with a character that has only a superficial similarity to the character it's supposed to represent. They can never make a Hulk video game that follows the conventional design trend of leveling up, grinding for gear and having more powerful enemies if they are of higher level than Hulk himself. Then only way to make a Hulk game is to make some sort of... Voxel-based entirely destructible world that has no limits to how powerful the Hulk can be. Like a weird Katamari Damacy/Minecraft/Hulk ultimate smash.
I'm not sure that there's a way to make a good Avengers game within anything resembling a reasonable budget. You'd basically have to make a different game for each character. Has there ever been a superhero game with a bunch of vastly different heroes (both in terms of skill set and power level) that isn't basically a brawler?
You don't play as the avengers, you play as glorified skins of the avengers.

I actually like the game too, I've spent over 100 hours in it already, trying to max out every character. I've dropped the game only because i have nothing else to do in it for now. @@soma03678 You won't see any from me, I do not endorse any microtransactions. I am Ok with substantial DLC for a fair price, but $10 for some graphic is absolutely absurd. In time the industry will be so whored out, we will have but skeletons of games without substantial investments.
I've only ever agreed with cosmetic microtransactions for F2P games. I feel that if a game is B2P, especially at the triple A price-point, you should own everything made for it for the next month after launch.

PSN Soma the thing is you have to address this with nuance. You act as if all microtransactions are bad to any degree. They’re not.
I’m willing to forgive some of them like in Cyberpunk as long as most of the game is unaffected. Here, the game is basically a vehicle for micro transactions with the avengers as an aside. It’s shameless.
It’s all about the degree of the microtransactions and how much they permeate the game.
And now it's officially dead, no further developer support coming in at all. For every new update, it only lost more people.

I don't really like that every superhero game is going for the realistic graphical style. It looks especially weird when Kamala is stretching and shit. I think a game can look cartoony and still look good.

I remember thinking this game would be cool, until hearing about all the micro-transactions and how in game currency would be purchasable with real world money. You seem smart. I'd be willing to bet you'd also figured at that point what the game would turn out to be. Anyway.
If someoke for whatever reason doesn't own Avengers on blu ray, then they could be for a hell of a fun night. Pick up that, some liquor of your choosing, maybe order a couple pizzas, and get some people over for a movie night. One could have more fun with a single night like that, then anyone is ever gonna have with this "game". A-fucking-men

I just picked the game up the digital deluxe version for $35. I thought: "Hey. It's been 6 months and the bugs should be fixed." For the most part the game had little or no bugs. The prologue had me and Kamala is an AMAZING character and I really got into her story. Then she meets the Hulk and they have a fun dynamic. Then the wheels started coming off the bus. Usually I play games on hard because I like the challenge. When you goto Siberia I couldn't wait to play at the Hulk! Hulk SMASH! Then I started getting killed by guys with guns. Huh?? What happened to his adrenaline surge? The madder he gets, the stronger he gets. Then the bad guys start coming and I start dying like every single time. I take the difficulty down to normal. Okay. That's a little better. Then Hulk starts getting killed again by guys with ice guns! Don't leave the area or the game will start over! What the fuck? Okay. I grind the level out. Next up Tony comes in and then I think the worse is over. We get the Mark 1 armor (which I loved) then the Mark 2. Okay. I can live with this. Then, it becomes the Iron Man show. I can live with it. Or so I thought. Then came the fucking Shield "Agents". Huh?? Hey. Wanna buy something? Nah. Fuck off. Hey wanna help with factions? Huh? Leave me alone! I am trying to reform the AVENGERS! Hey. Wanna buy some new tech? Sure! Sorry. You don't have enough money. Da fuq? Then Tony build his new suit. What? Customization?? I can mix and match like Injustice 2? Hell yeah! Silver Centurion Armor is coming up! Hook me up Jarvis!! Sorry. You do not have enough resources. At that point. I was DONE. I started the East Coast level and it pissed me off, that GOD DAMN AIM AGENTS could beat Iron Man. Huh?? Guys. With. Guns. I get they want to make the game challenging but this is the AVENGERS. They are not Teen Titans. At this point, I deleted the game and watched Angry Joe's review. He had the same reaction I did. Sigh. Back to playing old games. Square ans Crystal Dynamics really fucked this up. The sad thing is that I would TOTALLY play a single player game with Kamala. We won't get that now because of how fucked this game is.
I tried the game on the Free Weekend and I was liking it, but a snow level was loading (I guess that was Siberia?) and the game kept crashing, my PC wasn't great and it sounds like I was spared of a terrible fate

Seriously though, had immediate bad vibes, when I saw the first trailer. Their designs looked whack, and the dialogue between missions was pretty bad. Honestly, their dialogue reminded me of Sonic Boom.
That's what I was thinking, as soon as I saw that they didn't use the movie license for the faces and just the dialogue and gameplay, I was out.
Also, the characters hate each other. Ironman is an asshole to everyone, Bruce Banner is awkward nerd, Thor and Hulk are stereotypical tough guy, Captain America and Black Widow are dull and boring. Kamala Khan was the only likeable character in the game for the most part, but just like Joes said, suddenly the becomes an annoying and dull fan girl that just won't shut up.
@@afzalhakimbinzairini956 Probably the only painful truth about these characterization is Iron Man. He was an asshole in the comics. Still doesn't excuse it though, I know.

In this game however, Tony Stark is an asshole to the point he becomes so unlikeable and super selfish. Nolan North, buddy, I love you Buddy, You always be Deadpool to me, but not for Ironman/Tony Stark.
And the dialogue in this game are bland and so dry. I thought the dialogues in Star Wars Prequels are bad, but in this game it's so much worse.
