Would have been nice if they would have updated the slide with their nice looking gen 3 slide and offer it in all their usual colors they do on the rest of their Sar 9's.

That grip is definitely something different. I truly like what this pistol is capable of. It has a lot of potential and i can’t wait to get some more videos behind it.

No way it could be a duty pistol with that mag well limiting which mag extension you use. SHTF and God forbid there is ever another North Hollywood type shootout then mag interchangeability is key. That being said, SAR possibly hit a homerun with this SOCOM! The mag extensions look like the Shield Arms extensions, plus all the extras. Determining factor will be round count without a failure.
That is the part that I was sad about was mag compatibility. And right now holster options. I agree with you on the mags. Maybe a fix could be offering both plates? But I like this pistol and I feel like what you said about the home run. They offer so much with this pistol right from the factory. Getting it on the range and shooting a bunch of different rounds including duty and steel is really going to let me know what it’s capable of. The problem, the industry optic standard is 20 years old and needs to change if enclosed is necessary. RMR doesn't play nice with enclosed optics, even Trijicon had to do some really goofy engineering to make an enclosed optic on that footprint, ACRO/509T-style plates add stack height, and either way it's a freaking mailbox with the same basic window size as a regular RMR (or EPS Fullsize). Keep an eye on the upcoming SCS-Carry from Holosun too, looks like a good alternative to the EPS Fullsize.
Exactly why change is necessary but for most departments stuck on either holosun 508t 509t trijicon RMR or the acro it’s really hard to bring a new platform to the forefront when optics are still a baby concept in LE. I’m ready to see what can be done in the future.
@@clint4237 it is the socom this is the frontline edition made specifically for LE for duty use. You can also get it with the threaded barrel as well. It is also branded on the slide socom.
@@cselfmadedfs my guy Zeons Zone 3D prints them for me. Great guy he has modded it for me from the original design and I even have a helmet mounted one as well.

Love that it comes with an all in one setup! Yeah I do think more companies should do that.
I would love to see more of this. Having more complete options at a great price is what we need more of.
