2002 POLARIS 700 Sportsman-AWD (4x4) issues

A quick and easy way to fix your AWD. POLARIS ATV’s have their share of AWD problems. These problems are usually related to electrical issues....not mechanical issues. Here’s a quick and easy way to fix the AWD on you POLARIS Sportsman ATV.

neutral safety switch. I used a cr250 kill switch, push it and start it in gear. I was going downhill and it died in gear which I couldn't get it out of gear to start it.

My speedo works just fine I see the 4x4 sign on left side when I flip switch for 4x4 but doesn't work

So you just grounded the splice wire?

By 4x4 not working, do you mean it was in 2wd always or 4wd always? Mine is in 4wd all the time and i can’t switch to 2wd.

Mine too! Have you fixed yours? Mine just started acting up this weekend on a ride, cant seem to turn and it handles like crap :( 4x4 won't pull in drive, only in reverse...but still acts like in 4x4 in drive - steering and handling wise...

I did that and now my atv is in constant awd.

does this activate the awd all the time after doing this mod? So i wont have just normal 2wd anymore?

No, this does not make your ATV full time 4WD. The 2WD/4WD switch still works as it should.👍

Where did you jump that purple wire to?
