Such a good instructional video. Keep them coming, please 🙏!
0:30 Great video. Dialectric grease is great for keeping moisture out but does not conduct electricity. For info!
Man lets goo. Now I know where to bring my gear to get fixed
You are the man, the worst ever seen inside a front diffs.....My 2010 Sportsman 550 front diff is so bad, as former owner cut right axle off to use it on 2 wheel drive. Super helpful.
great video!
This is one of the best vids I have seen. I have a sloppy RH side axle . The only question is how do you press the spline into the bearing, or does it just slide in ? Thank you for making this. I put it into my favs.
Awesome job man
Thanks
I really enjoy you teaching the logics of polaris machines mine is a 2011 500 HO sportsman sat for 6-7 years in my garage i put a plough on it last year there is 55 hrs on this machine and suddenly while ploughing snow just started backfiring sputtering and running rough any ideas bud?
First, Excellent Video. Is there a way to repair the magnet wire without replacing the diff cover? Have broken wire severed very close to the housing.
This only has two wires going to the hub as so does mine. But the repair manual says there is 4. 2 for the hub coil but other 2 for ADC coil? Do I not have ADC? Any explanation on why this is so would help. Thanks
Great video ....thanks !
Would this work on a 2004 500 HO ?
It likely is a similar set up. There are many reasons an awd system can fail so it’s hard to say.
Where can I get this rebuild kit? And part number ?
Did you use a torch with the seals in the housings?🙄
Did you use aftermarket parts or Polaris?
Aftermarket
I did exactly this and when the switch is in 2 it will still spin the the axles unless I go.back the opposite way then I will unlock for a little bit and then lock right back In..with the switch off any thoughts?thoughts?
Make sure the prongs/springs that push the rollers out inside the diff are sticking out enough
Yea everything looks fine there it's a brand new cage...could the magnet side be bad?
@@YANKEEDOODLE111 after we did this video we had this issue actually and we had to pry the metal tabs out even though it was a brand new cage. Those roller should not be able to stay in the pocket without pressure.
If you pause the video at 6:31. We pried out the metal tabs quite a bit more on all of them.
It might not be that for you, but we’ve actually done this on two different occasions and that fixed it
