    Brett/Atheny you have become my rabbi. Understanding the scripture is giving me a path to my my own awakening. Thank you for your humor and animation while contemporizing Gods word for our salvation.

    I think I would have included Hamen in the portion of the king of that Amalicites. Our sin can affect future generations, not just our selves. Sin doesn't only hurt the sinner.

    You brought up an interesting bathroom story as a child. When I was in 6th grade I had started a new class and new school and they had already did their fundraiser for the 6th grade Camp which I was late for so I wasn't going to get to go to camp but there was a child in my classroom that became ill and I got their ticket to grade camp happiest moment as a child but honestly I believe it turned into a almost a nightmare because of the bathroom trip in our cabin at the campground . Well low and behold there was the trouble kids in there balling up paper towels and Blasting it at the wall and I walked in as they were finishing and leaving and I was the last one in the bathroom when it was discovered by an adult and was automatically blamed and I wasn't even allowed to go to the dance well I got to go but I had to sit and watch heartbroken didn't understand why they wouldn't leave me when I told him I did not do it and I wasn't going to snitch out the bullies I was still a sissy.. I was just having to come into myself

    Pastor Brett…what I’m about to say you may think childish/like for I am always a beginner with the Bible but I am sooo very glad you clarified the “Letting of God into our heart” is not the physical heart in our bodies! Every time I’d ask about how do I let God Jesus into my heart, Priests or teachers would point to their heart and say, “You open your heart!” Well, how the heck do you do that? What, tear it open?
    When you gave the explanation that the Greek word for “Heart” in the Bible means Psyche’, or in Hebrew meaning the Soul, the part of us that thinks and feels, shed’s a new light on the opening your heart! Thank you much!

    Are we all still sinners when we are in Christ? I thought we are saints...

    • @23Kingsolomon
      @23Kingsolomon Před 2 lety +2

      Yes to both. Unless you die the moment you start your relationship with Jesus, you'll still sin everyday until you die. But if you REALLY DO have a relationship with Christ, then he will continually change you to be more like Himself, and less like your self/ your sinful nature.

    My husband has been a policeman since 1989. He has to testify in one of his cases, probably about ten times a year. Sometimes he shows up for court and the accused pleads guilty (because my husband is that good). He mostly wins his cases, and when he doesn't, it's usually some unbelievably niggly technicality.

      Thankful for your husband’s service. My fiancé has been in law enforcement for many years and he’s the same. People have actually thanked him for arresting them quite a lot
