I put my herbs in an old glass with a little water, cover with a baggie and store in fridge. Lasts me a long time.
For fruit flies, take the smallest bowl in your kitchen and put a drop of dish soap in the bottom of it. Then fill it with apple cider vinegar and leave it on the counter. Fruit flies are attracted by the scent, try to drink the vinegar, and drown in it. (The dish soap reduces surface tension so they can't just walk on the top of the vinegar.)
This has worked for me many times over the years!

This did not work for me this summer! But you know what did? My coffee! lol So I started putting out cups of coffee with a drop of dish soap and it saved my sanity.

I have done this, it works wonders and if you don’t have a lot of apple cider vinegar or don’t like the smell, you can mix it with a 1:1 ratio of water then add the drop of soap last (so it doesn’t bubble). It’s not as effective as just the vinegar, but it helps me not gag in the kitchen because I can’t stand the smell.
With that car/keyboard slime, I found that putting it on the surface and leaving it for about 30 seconds or so to let it expand to get into nooks and crannies.

I love my eye vac! I keep it in the laundry room where the litter box is! A quick sweep and it sucks up the litter great!
I was thinking it would be great for that. My sister has a vacuum built into house can’t think what they are called but I’ve always thought the ability to sweep to a vacuum “port” in the kitchen would be wonderful. Wonder how I’ve not seen these before.

Pour some apple sider vinegar (say 1/4 cup) in a small container with 1 drop of dish soap!! The vinegar attracts them, dish soap poisons them. Super effective, super cheap, no special gadgets. Thank me later !!

Be careful when cleaning your computer keyboard with that gel-goo. Be sure to turn the computer off first. I work in computer support, and you'd be surprised how many people lock themselves out of their accounts/computers while cleaning their keyboards. Like my dad said, "Let no good deed go unpunished." 🤣

Caution on the box cutter... I have that exact one and, although the blade isn't necessarily sharp, it is very...pointy?... and it's easy to stab yourself with it. Clutzy me knows this first hand. 😮 But it sure works great for opening boxes!

Check your plants, we had a horrible invasion of little flies. Not fruit, not drain flies, they were breeding in two of my plants. Took a few days after getting rid of plants along with the vinegar mix and FINALLY gone!
Fungus gnats! They breed under the soil, so prepare to find more in a week or two. If you want plants, try bottom watering, they only lay eggs in damp soil.
Cool gadgets. I personally love my Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner and I use it everywhere in the house and car and I don't need to bend or use a broom.
My Dyson is the best purchase I’ve made. It makes vacuuming fun and fast. My house stays clean.

When I was growing up I used a fork to brush the carpet before vacuuming
A .99 cent squeegee from Costco will remove pet hair just as well, and it larger and cheaper.
Zevo plug in is great for gnats and flies. Also Zevo spray instantly kills flies and is safe in kitchen and around pets/children.
Thanks for the nice videos. :) Do be careful with the ceramic blade on the box cutter, because it will cut skin (don't ask me how I know). It is safer than the metal blades, though.

Grab one of the full size silicon/rubber broom w/squeegee, they do what that triangle does, but larger area.
I love that box cutter. We used to use scissors and I would cut myself. My 11 year old and husband both use it now since it is so easy and safe.
After using it, do you just rinse off the dusting gel?
We have a larger version of the box cutter. My husband got the equivalent of a paper cut proving you can't cut yourself with it. Still pretty impressive.

Those are not fruit flies. It's Fungus gnat. They look similar except gnats are slimmer and harder to get rid of. Fungus gnats are pests that use soil of plants to multiply and their larvae can damage roots of house plants. You can get an insecticide to water you plants with or if you have small children/pets there is a special type of mites that only attack larvae and are harmless to little ones (can tell you the name - I live in Poland so it won't help you). I used former twice and so far so good. To prevent them from coming back avoid soil from big box stores and quarantine new plants (if possible). Keep in mind that even if you're extremely careful just one gnat getting to your home from outside can be a begging of the battle against them all over again. Good luck :)

Just put the herbs in a cup with water or not store it in the plastic bag. Wrap them in a damp paper towel.
You should try a car coaster. Totally keeps the cup holder in the car from getting gross.

Do not use that gel on your keyboard when it is warm I ruined a keyboard with that stuff it got into the keys and wouldn't come out.
