Everybody in de comments saying to change the engine.. it's easier to say than to do! And for the ones that are V6 haters for no reason, an engine is an engine. They all have their own advantages. Your hellcat maybe gonna beat it but at least the V6 wont run out of fuel in 10 minutes.

I mean I know that people are saying, “well he is just gonna up badge or he could have just bought a GT.” But this is no different than changing your car’s bumper to a better one or buying a body kit. I don’t think the customer is planning on putting on a Hellcat badge, so I don’t really see the problem with this conversion. It’s the same thing as when 15-18 Charger owners were putting the air inlets into the grille like the 19 Chargers. I don’t see anything wrong with that or this.
Altering the vehicle from its original state in order to appear like others is sad and a waste of money

I just picked up myself a charger GT plus and I'm doing minor modifications on it as well but that's not to show off it's just because I enjoy the look of certain things over other stock parts. But I'll always let people know it's just a GT plus with modifications
This was very helpful and informative. I've been looking at the AWD 5.7 Pursuit package Chargers because they're affordable and I live in New England where we get like a month of nice weather. Only downside is they all look like SXTs with a mirror light. I was curious how hard a body panel swap like this would be and it looks super straight forward!
im tryna convince my friend to do the same bc he wants the scat but we have like 5 months of snow where im at in the midwest so im tryna convince him the 5.7 with AWD would be more reasonable and if he wants it to be more fun the money saved can go to performance mods or cosmetics

Would suggest painting before or after putting parts on the car? I was thinking it’ll be easier for the paint shop to paint before the parts go on but then again i wouldn’t wanna mess up the new paint while installing the new body parts.
I've got a 2018 R/T and I've been going back and forth about wanting to do this for a while. Not upbadging or changing the hood, mind ye. I just want to change the front & rear bumpers and the side skirts.
Fortunately/Unfortunately the 900 other places my money needs to go the now have been keeping me from pulling the trigger on deciding to do it. And I really DO love the stock look of the regular trim. However, I dig the more aggressive front end and scallops on the back.
Do you have any idea how much it costs or atleast where you live. I’m trying to get a somewhat idea of much it will cost to do something like you. 2015-18 rt to look like a 2019 rt.
@@MrMani28 Well yer in luck, because as it stands I had a window where I had some disposable income to do this and am about halfway done with it all, so I now know exactly how much it's costing to do. So I'm NOT doing anything to the hood and am just changing the front bumper, rear bumper, and side skirts. I'd used Vicrez for the front bumper kit and side skirts, of which the side skirts have arrived but I'm still waiting on the front bumper. These two jawns cost about $1200 with shipping/handling included. For the rear bumper I went with straight OEM parts with part numbers gotten from AVG Joes Garage videos since the Vicrez kit didn't have the holes for the backup sensors pre-cut and prolly still required the closure panel. The rear fascia, valence, left and right bezels, closure panel AND a front belly pan (I needed a new one) cost an additional $1200 and change. Prolly closer to $1300. So let's just say $1300.
As all these parts come unpainted, I went to a local body shop that had done good work for me in the past and the price they quoted me for paint and install (assuming no profound jiggery pokery is needed to get these things on) amounted to $1880. I'd imagine it'll prolly be a bit more because some rewiring is likely gonna be involved getting those fog lights to work.
Others I've spoken to who did this work said it cost $6000 with parts, paint and install. Since I'm leaving the hood as is, it seems I've managed to land a grand under that.
I'm very, VERY upset with myself for dropping all this cash just to make my car look a bit cooler. However, once it's all said and done, it's gonna look effin great. And really ye can always save more money again. As a co-worker of mine said, "buy once, cry once."

Seriously though, the money dropped effin hurts, but it's gonna look cool as hell once it's all together. And really at the end of the day, dropping more money than is sensible on something dumb just because it makes me smile whenever I see it is something I've done plenty of times before.

Is there a way to minimize the hood gap at 9:43? My Scat Pack didn’t have that hood gap and then I took it to a body shop to repaint my bumper and now it has that big gap.
if they tightened one side of the hood more than the other it creates it to be uneven which would make the gap.
What about the 6.2L engine and torqueflight trans? Lol
SRT's and Scatpacks have the 6.4.
@@a2xs60 only scat pack has 6.4 L. Dodge did a smaller 6.2 L engine in the srt hellcats to fit the supercharger on top.

Until 2020 the SRT, Scatpack, And Hellcat were all different trims. The SRT and Scatpack both had the 6.4.

I have a 2015 rt with srt front bumper looks amazing turns heads everywhere plus my straight pipe adds the amazing sound of the 5.7 nxt will be the srt side skirts & rear bumper & diffuser oh & also im still deciding which hood i want to get to switch out the stock one then after that will either be another paint job or badass wrap idk which yet kuz my interior all red leather & red sueade plus I have 22in srt replicas just need to fix all the curb rashes lol 😆 need to find a place where they will grind all of them smoothly out & repaint them or wrap them as well....I love my 2015 R/T its my wip Work In Progress this video really was helpful..p.s also another better spoiler then the r/t stock one lol its so small

No additional hardware or screws were used on the front bumper cover? the area where the lower bumper structure and grille go in...and also the front black out panel.... what size or style screws and nuts hold it on? i know someone will say "reuse your oem hardware" but if you are doing a conversion from an RT to this, you will not have the same hardware....

Get dodge to enable them on your cars computer or just wire them to the battery.

you drill into the rivet and then you can use a bolt and nut to attach the bracket.
We gonna ignore the fact that there’s a fat gap between the hood and bumper once you put it on and that there’s no holes for a license plate and no holes for the sensors you need
You don’t need sensors if you know how to drive
@@D.jrider Its not the fact of needing sensors to drive its the fact that some peoples Chargers came with sensors and they would like to keep them for safety reasons or any other reasons to keep them. They came with the car might as well have use for them.
I bought their hood and there was a gap. When I reached out about it they just played the dumb game and acted like I was making it up.
