Installing Vicrez Widebody Kit on Dodge Charger RT

- For anyone planning to install this kit please read:
In hindsight, I should have cut a little more on each fender. The height of the cut was perfectly fine, I just could have gone further down the fender both left and right of my cuts. Originally, I did not cut so far down the fender so that I had more of the mounts to clip the body panels into, which is still a good option if your driving conditions are normal with decent roads. When I recorded this, I had watched other install videos and this was about normal. That being said, I have had minimal rubbing. So little that I still have not cut any more off my fenders at this time but I plan to at some point just for the potential of loading the car down and driving on bad roads in the future. I'm writing this to be transparent and for you guys that are about to cut on your cars. I would cut a little more from the beginning. For any more questions feel free to hit me up on my Insta @charliewiththecharger. Thanks for all of the views and nice comments!
Original video detail: "First time doing anything like this. Project took me around 10 hours by myself learning as I go. Feel free to ask about the install in the comments or on my insta @charliewiththecharger."
I was really expecting you to miss rust proofing your cuts, you didn’t. Impressive work.
Thank you Rusty!
Waiting on my 19 scat pack and I’m definitely looping your video to install mines! You did awesome job and I can tell you really appreciate your car! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Thank you for the compliment!
Hey I’m thinking about do it to my 22 R/T just bought it for graduation a couple months ago. What kit did you use exactly. This looks perfect
@@phillipthomas3824 I purchased the one titled "Vicrez Demon Wide body Fender Flares + Side Skirts vz102191| Dodge Charger 2015-2023" I think whats important is the "vz102191"
Okay great. Did you get the 305 wheels with the kit? Also have you had any problems when hitting bumps if so what would you suggest to avoid that..? How do you feel about 275s in front 305s in the back?
@@phillipthomas3824 I purchased the Vicrez rims but bought tires separately. My tires are 305's all around (Atturo AZ850 from eBay). I highly recommend the 305 and would not put the 275. I do have minimal rubbing on bigger bumps and would recommend cutting just a little further (horizontally) on the cuts. The height of the cut was enough just a very tad bit more both left and right could have been cut to avoid the little rubbing I have here and there
Excellent video man!!🙏🏾💪🏾🔥
Thank you very much! I actually referenced your video a few times before committing to the project 🤝

I built a wide body kit for my uncles 2015 RT. Turned out really good, but took me around 60 hours to complete. Wish I would've just bought a kit
Wow, that sounds cool tho. Would like to see how that turned out!
Very nice 👍🏽 job homie
Very much appreciated🤜
so unique and cool
Gotta do thiss asap!!!!!💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥✌️
To those using the kits, especially the full kit with bumpers, know that you need new suspension or cut away fenders
Did you try it??
Very impressive.
Nice!!! See that's how I need mines installed, with cutting in the fender so it won't hit when u put the 305s on it
Whatd you do to get the wheels to fit in the front without rubbing
Mind telling me where you got the hood / front bumper and rear bumper from? Thanks if so
(Talking about before the wide body kit was put on)
My car came like that from the factory. In 2019 Dodge put the SRT body on the RT’s 🙏🏽 but Vicrez sells these bumper kits! Looks OEM
Also, nice work and attention to detail.. I am going to have to have a shop install mine, I am not as slick.
Not a bad way to go! Def takes some commitment to time lol.
beautiful car
very much appreciated
Inspirational.
nothing to it but to do it
Looks bad ass
appreciate it! I agree
🔥🔥🔥 Transformation!!
Any plans on uploading more ?
I have some video from when someone hit me and damaged the driver front panel that I want to show the repair how it came out. Also, eventually I will get back underneath and cut more off of my fenders so I was going to show how it pulls off with the 3M tape and reapplies
That's one of the best sports cars 😉 out there still I have 2012 TL fwd tech package straight sounds but I think my next SUV gonna be the dodge SUV
Daaamn bro, looks fire!!! I love your wheeels and how they look, what are their specs? and where do i get them?
Thank you! Mine are 20" x 11" with -2.5mm offset. These are from Vicrez.com and specifically they are the "Hellcat Widebody Style Wheels"

Nice 👍🏾 job
Thank you!
Looking fire my guy and i have question if i go widebody what size wheels do i need with it because stock scats comes with 20x9.5 so what wheels size ?
If you have a charger that you are adding the widebody to, the wheels not only need to be 20 x 11 (all 4 wheels) but mainly the -2.5mm offset is whats important. This will give it the right stance and fitment
@@charliebernis177thanks man you answered my question with this as well
Hey did you use two layers of tape on fenders or no? The
Hey bro do you think you rub slightly cause your on lowered springs ? I wanna do this to my 392 but scared of rubbing and ect…
Most definitely because of the lowering springs. But mine sits as low as a stock 392 (maybe a little lower but not much). Being you have that model I would def cut if you do this kit
@@charliebernis177 much appreciated boss
First off amazing job, second did you purchase the side skirts as well or just the fender flares?
Thank you! I purchase side skirts as well
Dope
What kind of wheels and tires are those? Did you go 20x11 all the way or 20x9 in the front?
Vicrez wheel with Atturo Tires! went 20 x 11 all the way around
Great video! Can you send link for kit? Just bout my scat and didn’t want to pay the extra for wide-body
First off beautiful job , did you lower yours or is it factory height?
Thank you! The car is lowered on H&R Sport springs
When you fit all 4 people do you scrape I’m having that issue even by myself when hitting dips. My wheels still hit the quarter in the rear.
I did have a car full of heavier people and did scrape for dips like youre talking about, but again only a light skim on the edge of the tire, nothing like a dig or anything. I've examined the tires after every scrape really just to make sure I didnt need to park it and address the issue asap. Cutting more is on my list to do though, which is why I have encouraged everyone who's asked to cut as much as possible since you're cutting anyway and the kit hides it. But yea now I see clearly where the rubbing is happening. Will make a vid when I cut more as I will be leaving the kit on while I do it
What’s the instrumental
🔥🔥
Great job, man. I am thinking about doing this to my 2015 Scat Pack. What is the exact kit # from Vicrez that you used?
Vicrez Demon Wide body Fender Flares + Side Skirts vz102191| Dodge Charger 2015-2022
You have a link to the rocker panel clips. How was the kit held up? Car looks great btw
I dont, apparently the kit was supposed to come with it mine just did not so I made do with some from auto zone. I've only had to pull a panel back a bit to add some tape in one section on the rear panel. Light rubbing here and there but overall it's in the same exact shape as it was the day I installed
Great job man, I have a 21 scatpack and I'm going for the 700 flares only kit, if I may ask why buy side skirts? Are they not the same? My factory skirts off my scat look identical to those
Thank you! And sweet man, I haven't even heard of that kit yet. But as far as the side skirts, on the Vicrez kit, the flares have a flat step to make a fluid transition to the fender flare. Without the new rocker panel the fender flare sort of just hovers over the OEM flare and doesnt tie into the car at all. Other kits may look different but for the Vicrez kit this was the way to go to make it look more factory
Yea I seen the flare plus side kit skirts kit I was wondering how my flare only install would transition onto my oem side skirts dam might as well go the full option it was like a 300 difference only 🤙thanks for the info
@@Memogarcia2007 yes def go with the skirts too! no problem 👊
Last question man lol will I be able to run 305s all the way around no rub?
@@Memogarcia2007 def. I have the 305's all around on the 20 x 11" rims. If your car is lowered you will rub tho, which is why the option is cut your fenders is the preferable one. If you cut enough and do it right the first time you wont have any issues and no regrets. I have minimal rubbing and its only when the roads are so bad it makes my suspension go down more than normal. And even then the rub is light, doesnt even mark the tires. That being said I will eventually cut a little more when I know the rub is happening
I take it the center caps from OEM wheels don’t swap into the vicrez wheels? I am about to order the 2020 widebody kit and wheels.
They claim to fit! I just haven't done it yet. Definitely needs them tho
I have a vicrez widebody kit, but have had major issues with rubbing trying to run 305s all around.
Yea all of it depends on just how low you are paired with how bad your road situations are. I had minimal rubbing here and there but it certainly did rub
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Amazing work! What lower kit did You use ??
Thank you! I'm on H & R springs
@Nate Nope, she drives straight as could be. The only thing I notice more since the wider tires tho is that Dodge camber in the rear. I notice even factory chargers and challengers have that slight tire tuck into the fenders wearing more on the inner tire than the outer. May eventually get that addressed
@@charliebernis177 does your tires rub at all over bumps?
@@itz_drowsyyy223 rarely. And the little I’ve had only touches the tires without actually hitting hard or making marks on them. I will be getting under to cut again eventually and will post another video of that process of how to cut once the kit is already mounted. I’ve been telling people to not be scared to cut more on the original project. Kit hides the cuts anyway👍🏽
@@charliebernis177 where did you buy this kit from? I’m looking to do it for my 2016 hellcat
Did your tires rub when you put the 305s on before you installed the kit? What offset were those wheels before put that kit on?
I didn't really give them the chance to rub but they would have rubbed being that they were sticking out past the fender. The rims are -2.5mm from Vicrez that I purcahsed
Hello sir, first off nice job on the swap l’m doin my swap now and my tires front tires are rubbing on the backside are yours doin same or did U trim or anything please I’m desperate need of information thank u god bless!!
You must be a bit lower than I am. My car is on H&R lowering springs. With the cuts I made in the video, the car does not rub 98% of the time. I only get light rubs on bad roads and things like that. You should be able to cut more on both the car and the kit to eliminate the rubbing you are getting. Some guys bag these cars on these kits so I know its possible to get it to not rub for you
How much of the fender did you cut and did that make the bracket for the flare obsolete?
I only cut what I thought necessary at the time and as little as possible so that I could still have some of the bracket to clip into. A little more cutting is advised
Did you get a coilover kit so the tires won’t bump the fenders. (I’m currently having this issue)
No I'm still on H&R lowering springs as of now. How much rubbing are you having? Mine is very minimal
Nice work! I got one on my challenger and now am intrigued, are you using spacers to bring the tires out more or just the 305/35R20?
Thank you! No spacers! The rims purchased from Vicrez are offset on their own by -2.5mm which is how it's getting this stance I assume. Not just a normal 11 x 20 rim, but one with this offset. That rim mounted up with the 305's give it the factory look
@@charliebernis177around how much did the rims cost you?
rims were around $1200 if I remember right @@Vendo-ml8xo
Nice ! Which kit is this?
might have to take my car to u to widebody it for me it was flawless😂
👊👊
Link for the side skirt clips?
Yooo , on the tires , you went wider with the rims too ? Or
Oh yeah, 20" x 11" wide to mount the 305's on
Did you put lowering springs on the car and if not, do you plan to? (Curious whether those size tires will still fit without rubbing if it's been lowered)
