This one took a while but I think it was worth while. It was a ton of fun to cover.

No tengo ninguna duda de que tocas las mejores covers de los Smashing Pumkins de CZcams.
Rocket 🚀🤘🎸
Cherub Rock!! Could you please explain these kind of octave up in the cherub rock solo?? I saw you get that sound in other video!
ROCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lover lover let's pretend
We're born as innocents
Cast into the world
With apple eyes
To wish wish dangerous
My dear delirious
To try and leave
The rest of us behind
Shot full of diamonds
And a million years
The disappointed disappear
Like they were never here
Kiss kiss all of this
The hiss that we had miss
And understand what can't be understood
Sear those thoughts of me
Alone and unhappy
I never liked me anyway
If by chance
Or circumstance
We should fail
Don't be so sad
Shot full of diamonds
and a million years
The disappointed disappear
Like they were never here
In a dream
We are connected
Siamese twins
At the wrist
And then I knew we'd been forsaken
Expelled from paradise
I can't believe them
When they say that it's alright
Words can't define what I feel inside
Who needs them?
Caught with this virus of my mind
I give in to my disease, of my needs
To my disease, of my needs
She really loves to break
Her dad says its OK
She really loves to break
And give it all away
Her ma says she's afraid
What more can she fake
She really needs to break
And give herself away
She gave it all away
She gave it all away
She gave it all away
We really love the USA
MY ARM HAIRS ARE STANDING ON END, EYES WIDE OPEN, GOOD TINGLES EVERYWHERE, MORE AWAKE THEN I'VE FELT SINCE I LISTENED TO SATRIANI'S NEW PUMPIN SONG LAST YEAR!!! YOU KNOW HOW TO MIX MAN!!! BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
I wasn't on anything earlier, not even caffeine or sugar, it just worked. Honestly, such a good mix, bravo Mr. Clarke.
Thank you very much! I appreciate it!
@@EddieClark the band Filter has a track from 2002 called "You Walk Away", it's Eb (then C and the riffs are more basic than Geek USA). That was always my go to mix for heavy guitar wall even though the drums are mixed a bit louder (not Siamese Dream Big Muff tone but boomy and punchy). Your geek USA mix beats that song man; again sooo good I kept rewinding it to the first strike of the chord over the drums and fist pumping.
okay I'll shut up now
These Pumpkins covers deserve way more views
2:56 amazing rendition of the solo in one take, shredded it! great video series, do MCIS!!! 🤘🤘
Thank you very much! 👏
As a Smashing pumpkins fan, I have to say: BRILLIANT my friend!!
Thank you! 👏
Holy $&@? That solo man. I just love your pumpkins covers best best on the internet. Geek USA is a pinnacle of Billy’s guitar talent and you tribute it so well!
I’ll vote for rocket next :)
Oh my gosh Eddie - this sounds so incredible! You absolutely nailed this! I really appreciate seeing the different parts - you put so much work in, thank you! 💙 (PS I'm so keen for Cherub Rock when it comes haha!)

If I had 2 wishes... your talent is one of them!
I meant 3 wishes but.... I'm time traveling right now..
I think the Geek USA solo is my favorite one
My fav track on SD 😁 Good job 👍
Thanks!
esto es maravilloso
I love this song so much, and this cover is killer.
For the lead sounds is it op-amp > phase 100? And what settings? I've tried this myself and can't quite nail it. I've tried phase 100 before the muff and it gets lost because the muff overpowers the phaser.
It's not a big muff. It's a Jordan Buzz Tone -> Phase 100 -> MXR Distortion II clone
The Jordan Buzz tone is likely the circuit (or similar to) the circuit pulled from the pedal steel guitar. It's done a better SD lead sound every time. I cover it here:
czcams.com/video/KCegzAXgpEA/video.html
@@EddieClark ah I thought that wasn’t every song! I figured he must have used the muff for some lead (or boosted with the lap steel fuzz).
@@rain.faded. the Muff is more dominant in the rhythm sounds.
You are an absolute UNIT. Please tell me you are in a band so i can listen to your own written stuff
Thank you very much! I am in the middle or recording two projects. My personal project will be released here over the course of the year and the other project will be on Spotify and the other major streaming services around the summer.
@@EddieClark im looking forward to it!
Is there a specific way to play the intro riff? It seems like every time I play it on my strat, it sounds like I tuned it too flat. Also is the clean interlude the same chords as Cupid De Locke? That's how I usually played it. Lovely tone by the way and excellent playing! You really nailed the solo!
Thanks! That was the toughest song I've covered yet.
I always figure the songs out by ear and watching videos of Billy playing them live so I never know how correct I really am. That said, I played Major 7th chords in the clean interlude. (E Major 7 and A Major 7 from memory). Hit me up on IG and I'll send you a slow short clip of how I play the intro riff. @sporadicmotion
could you do a video some time playing the solo slowed down separately?
Did you block the bridge on your guitars?
I don’t block them off but I used 5 springs in the back
@@EddieClark is the tuning stable etc? Harder to bend I guess?
Tuning is very stable and I don’t have any problems bending. I use 9s on half of my guitars and 10s on the others so they are all pretty easy to deal with.
Yo how did you replicate the sounds what pedals or what amp setting did u you use plz reply thanks
Thanks for watching. I made a video on the topic.

if its an instrumental cover why can you hear vocals?
I extract the drum track from the original song then re-record the song. The side effect is there are vocal artifacts left over embedded in the drum track
@@EddieClark ok
@@La_domniz here's the app I use to extract the drums incase you want to play around with it.

1993 called.....
Psssst. Edit it to say 1993 before a nerd that cares sees it 😉
@@EddieClark was it 93? I was in 8th grade so you probably right. Its crazy what a time machine hearing a song can be!
Nicely done 👌
July 27 1993 was the release date. We’re about the same age. It was released 5 days after my 13th birthday.
