Great cover and great job with the simple tutorial. I've been trying to play this song for about 6 years now. I've loved this song and band for 20 years but I have a rule of not learning to play songs that I really love as I'll never do it justice, this song however is an exception. Anyways like I said I've been struggling from crap tabs to crap covers to even watching Billy play it live when pumpkins came to London and still it sounded shitty when I played. YOU though my friend have changed that and now because of how awesome you are I can play it all the way through and it sounds great.
Honestly man this is one of, if not the best, guitar covers/tutorials on youtube. Your strumming and picking is perfect and timing is spot on and it sounds great. If I could give you 50 likes it wouldn't be enough.

Btw, I just had a listen to the original track. The last 3 notes are actually bend up to pitch from half a step lower, with the very last note bent and released a couple of times as it rings out. Hope that helps 🙂

I feel lucky. I’m 14, and i had been playing a squire mini for like 4 years(although I played mostly acoustic) and I was looking for a guitar and at my local store it was like a fraction of the normal price. Honestly that guitar got me into the punpkins

Dude you should totally cover Jellybelly or Cherub rock, maybe even Soma if you've got time. Cherub rock is one of the greatest rock songs ever written. Although MCIS is an absolute masterpiece I've always felt that Machina doesn't get enough credit for how bloody good it actually is and Billy's guitar work is immense.

Looks good n sounds great, I was looking for the quick bends at the beginning while the other guitar is droning the low e in the very beginning of the song. It’s not in either guitar part

I don't think they actually do that 3-7 E string slide on the opening riff. Sounds more like open E string with 5-7 slide on the 5th. In shows their hand position is pretty high on the arm, wich makes me think of even 12-14 slide on the 5th string...

Hey so when you're playing the 7-0-0-0-0 riff in the verse are you down picking all those notes?
I play the 7 as a down... but all of the open notes are on offbeats so I play them as up strokes. That way it is a very even movement for the hand/wrist to keep the rhythm. Hope that helps!

I always find it easier to learn the solos instead of the rhythm behind the solo, but both parts are hard on this song bruh
that solo is not easy as it gets faster and faster i think im gonna try it like eddie style and tap the section at 3:10 . Great Lesson I nearly nailed it in one hour or so!! Thank you

Play it at 3/4 speed (with a metronome or better yet a drum backing track or cover). Then each day, tick your metronome up 1. 😎😎😎😎😎. (Or each week?). Trust the process!!!!!
