    For BMW X5 hold the middle button for the sunroof (don't push it forward or back) for 20~ seconds just like this guy said and it will reset back how it was before, appreciate your video man I really do 👍

    Thanks buddy,
    I have been unable to use my e39 sunroof after replacing those little plastic clips. Just did your hold for 20 seconds, and Holy Schneike!!!!! Back in business fully functional!
    Have a great day!

    I had this issue this summer. I kept trying to reprogram using many different amounts of timed sequences, 20 seconds to even 2 minutes. This drove me crazy over many attempts. Finally with just dumb luck got it to reprogram. Thanks for the correct sequence! Into my CZcams e46 resource file for next time. Great job. Thank you!

    I was surprised, but this worked for me. I held it open for 20 seconds instead of closed, but same idea. It was in the manual, but it didn't really explain it, and sunroof wasn't even in the index. E39 528i 2000

    Wow thanks man. I have a Accord and this worked! It made the noise about every 10 seconds after I held it. My moonroof has been stuck tilted for weeks and I was thinking it was a bad switch then maybe the motor. I’m kind of scared to open it again. Since this worked I’m still not sure what it could be.

    This worked for me (1999 328i ) because mine wouldn’t get to the front (close ) and wouldnt tilt .. so even if it won’t close the last 3 inch gap , just do the 20 sec thing then it goes all the way forward (closed ) and will tilt up again ! Thanks bro 😎

    Hi, thanks for the vid, as usual I freaked out when I came back and found it stuck up a bit and in my case it wouldn't work "at all" up or down and this vid got working again.
    Quick question I have E39 540i 1996 model and it just started to lock the central locking the first time when I put it in reverse and now in the last few months the central locking just locks when ever it feels like it, sometimes in reverse just taking off in drive or just sitting in neutral sometimes 2-3 times in like a few minutes sometimes hrs apart and it doesn't matter whether the cars is running or turned off or keys are in the ignition or not.
    Any ideas? If not still a great helpful vid.
    Ta Joe

    Mine opens fine, but only closes about 80%, then goes backwards for a few seconds and stops, leaving the sunroof open about 50%. Seems like the switch is similar to the drivers window button, where it can do momentary, or you push it all the way forward it closes...but this doesn't close. I tried your suggestion, heard the noise at the end, but it didn't fix it. I even tried a 2nd time. Any ideas? 2000 328CI

    • @sbrave
      @sbrave Před rokem +1

      @@davezizka I haven't been able to fix it, besides holding the power button forward. After the initial closing, the sunroof slides back a bit and then I just hold the power button until it closes all the way. I haven't tried holding the plastic thing down.

      The problem with my sunroof is that that it's slower than the normal operating speed, it jerks as it opens or closes and I have to manually hold the button to close all the way instead of the one touch. Also, if I try to do the one touch to close, it will start to close, with that light jerking motion, and then it will stop at one point and return opening.
