Thank you for helping not break the rental
I always put the transmission to neutral first then start putting it the 4wd modes
First time in my life I ever seen an automatic stick
Last yr bought my 1st ever Jeep wrangler JL and I was wondering how too but this is super ez thank U
I have a manual, so I always put in neutral. I only shift to 4x4 when the vehicle is stopped, never while moving.
Manual says to shift into 4L by slowing the vehicle to about 2-3 mph (not stopped), put the main shifter in neutral, and then put it into 4L then shift to drive.
Yes barely moving. You can do it going slower and sometimes stopped but then you want to revolve(purposefully not saying spin) the wheels a few times so the gears guarantee clicking in nicely. I had an old dodge(no ABS) where on ice I could lock the brakes, put it into or out of 4H and then let the wheels connect to the ground again. I wouldn’t have done it to a Jeep transfer case though😂
If you watch the 4 low lever it pops out he didn't have it all the way in 4 low
Thank you 🙏🏾 Omg now I’m not afraid of it.
i agree - thx you - but i'm still not goin touch it....
Yeah, it is a little worrying that he said it can be put into 4wd going 55 though. I’m not going to😂
The JL Rubicon imported in Europe is equiped with both "Selec Trac" + "Rock Trac" transmission.
For the price you pay I sure hope it does lol 😆 😂
In Europe, on Rubicon JL we have 4H Auto, and 4H Part time. In 4H auto, you can drive it all the time, no speed limit
Does it use up more fuel?
@@TheAngelElectriko Only a bit. 4H Auto means that vehicle is in 2WD, and 4WD activates only when needed. Snowy roads for example, or when going uphill on some steep streets.
@@TheAngelElectrikonot really on 2wheel drive drinks more fuel than on all wheel drives I drive on it every time and tested on my gladiator
Do I have to use the four wheel drive shifter if I have a 6 speed automatic shifter jeep? Like can I just use the regular automatic shifter as a primary shifter?
What if i drive and the transfercase is on N
In my moms 2017 rubicon recon she has to be moving to put it into 4wd, idk if it’s because it’s a stick or not but whatever 🤷
I've got a 2024 Jeep JL, and it doesn't let me put it into 4x4 unless it's in Park.
Can I drive faster in 4h if I upgrade something on my gladiator
Will my check engine light come on???
I can’t get it to come done out of 2H? Any help?
¿alguien sabe si en M ahora más gasolina que en D?
por favor🤔
You can do this in park ??
Only 4high not 4low
Iyong DMAX MANUAL
Press button ang 2H , 4H at 4L Ang axle aquitor niya hindi nagwowork
I did not get it
O M G
❤
Won’t let me go to 4d on my rented
Can you be in 4H and drive faster than 55mph?
No this cause too much pressure of the dana axles and burn them out, causing you to possibly destroy them. Though 55 is the highest mph, id recommend you stay below 50. hope this helps.
@@MT-zy7oe2H can i go over 60!?
@@mohammadal-kamsha4020are you retarded?
Does the Jeep have to be parked to put in 4H or can this be done while moving?
I have a TJ but to my knowledge 2H-4H is shift on the fly, so long as you are on slippery surfaces(grass, anything but pavement, etc.) and push in the clutch(if so equipped). 4L is highly debated, but I usually push in the clutch and just below idle speed(~2mph) go from 4H to 4L, others say to stop completely, but imo that can bind the transfer case. Do your research, you do you. I would highly advise letting off the gas and or pushing in the clutch before touching the T Case.
He said it on the video 🙄
How do you know of your car comes with 4 wheel drive ?
If it is a wrangler it's a 4wd.
These new vehicles are almost dummy proof. If you’re doing it the wrong way or in a way that can cause any damage, the cluster will display how to properly go into whatever drive/mode you want. I have a rotary dial with buttons for choosing modes and accidentally hit them all the time.
I guess this rent a car keep wrangler shifter is stuck. Cause I can’t change it. Maybe they locked it???
not sure how they would do it, I would bring it up to them for sure
Metoo , it too heavy , it isn’t normal
How about when towing? 😊
Pull the clip!
Do I need to step on the break to put it on 4H?
No you do not
So I have. Wrangler Sport hybrid I put in N let it roll and it told me on the dash to break before switching gears?
Are your trying to go into 4 wheel low on your transfer case? 4xE wrangler has a little different set up.
@@CrossChryslerJeepFiat ya I was just seeing the difference modes I can get to 4H and 4wpart time fine
@@OrdinaryPrinceCharming13 so to get to 4wheel low. Transmission in neutral. Preferably barely rolling. Pull transfer case level back into 4 wheel low and return transmission to drive
@@CrossChryslerJeepFiat so I tried that on a dirt path I was in park switch to N then no needed to roll , switch into 4L no problem then back to drive. , follow up question so go back to normal do I just do it backwards
@@OrdinaryPrinceCharming13 you got it
I didn't think you were supposed to go straight from 4L to 2H. Am I wrong about that? Thanks.
Yeah I think your right
It’s in neutral.
but he was in park when he went from 2h to 4h. So if it was reverse then you have to be in park from 4h to 2h
is this the same for Jeep Gladiator Mojave?
Following
I wonder how many times he had to redo the video before he didn't struggle with that mf going into 4lo
My rear wheel only bottom doesn’t work everytime I use it it just flashes
Is it in 4wd low when you engage your rear locker?
@@CrossChryslerJeepFiat no for high
@@alexneamah4188 locking diff only works in 4 wheel low
@@CrossChryslerJeepFiat nice I think I once shifted to 4 wheel low wrongly how do I know if I have damaged it? Thank you 🙏
@@alexneamah4188 it isn't possible on a wrangler. The transmission has to be in neutral also for it to shift in to 4wd low. It is best to be rolling 1-2 mph, shift trans into neutral, the shift to 4wd low
Whether jeeva and her pros mentioned in his Jeep Wrangler unlimited drive delivered over all of wild riots
O wuauauauauauauauua
That's not the exact opposite.
So why my too heavy , i can’t switch it , scare to break something
