Fenix PD35, Eagletac G25C2, SX25L3 in the forest

  • Fenix PD35 is pretty floody and good. EagleTac G25C2Mk2 is appropriately throwy and good. SX25L3 should have a bit wider illumination area to make the best floody light. Anyway we had better wear a floody headlight along with a handheld flashlight for safety and mind easiness.

    The Fenix UC35... works well with a goal zero or other solar charger. 960 lumens if you need it, which is rare.
    Another great video , thank you.

    As always, thank you for putting the time into these videos and reviews. I really like the comparison between these three flashlight models as there is a distinct difference between the hotspots of the PD35 and G25C2... and the SX25L3 is in a completely different category. Wow, the SX25L3 is bright with a very uniform coverage.

    Wako, I am glad I came across your video it made my choice a lot easier. I love lights that cool tint light of the pd35. I've always had a thing with lights with those tints. I hate those kind of yellowish warm tint.

      Hacken Lee I might be too old to take the cool tint comfortable.

    Take a look at the (larger/heavier) Army Tec "Barracuda" you might like its more powerful throw. Got the Fenix PD35 thank you for suggesting it. Very happy with both of the above lights. I did put reflective duct tape on the black holsters to make it easier to see and find them in the dark.

    I also EDC the PD35 2013 and like it very much, afew months i got the TN12 2014 CW version and was very pleased with it, I have now bought the TN12 2014 NW version and it is truely excellent and i would recommend that you look into getting it.
    Thank you for all your effort in the making and producing of your videos it is much appreciated. I wish you and yours good health and good fortune in the coming new year.

      FYI the TN12 original and 2014 versions will take the Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh Protected Li-Ion batteries without any issues. The PD35 just barely takes the NCR18650B and requires the battery to be added from the head end to help prevent the tail switch activating.

      850 enough or you recomend 960 lm version ?

    • @Foodiedad17

      I think so. Really depends...I barely use or max out the lumens.

      ***** To me 850 lumens are enough and I don't upgrade to 960 lumens. Please let me suggest that ThruNite TN12 (2014 version) Neutral White is the nicest pocket outdoor light. Thanks.

    PD35 is awesome. I only wish there were better batteries. I feel like battery technology is far behind flashlight technology.

    I just got a G25C2 (Cool white) a week ago, I agree with you on the threads; the threads is one of a few things I do not like about it, over all though it is a very good light. I decided to go with the cool white for I have never tried it before, I can compar it to my PD32UE, which is a very warm light.
    Have you ever looked into Armytek? You may like the Predator or Viking (both have a pro version). They are both 1x18650 or 2xCR123, an very similar in size to the G25C2. The Viking is like a G25C2 with a bit more spill and a bit less throw. The Predator is a lot less powerful (670Lm) but because it uses a XM-G2 it is rated for 400 meters.
    Keep up the good comparisons.

  • @EarlyMist

    Nichia 219, xml t5, t6 neutral, t3 for warmth etc...you know the score virtuo. Good tints. Xml u2 mostly green tint issues. Luck of the draw on that one. Don't you ever wish most big companies would offer neutral white and warm white like Sunwayman, eagletac, xeno, L10 illumination etc? It's like a growing 'niche' market that deserves more attention because most humans subconciously at least respond to 'daylight' tints (neutral to warm less than 4500k) better than cold tints for gen pop useage.

    I need help in choosing which one to purchase . It’s my first Fenix flashlight and I’m unsure of whether to purchase the PD35 tac , PD35 v2.0 , or the PD36R . I’m planning on using it for EDC .

    • @virtuovice
      @virtuovice  Před 4 lety +1

      My current EDC is Olight M2R Pro powered by 21700. The 21700 provides far superior illumination than 18650 definitely and it is not so bulky or heavy in my opinion.

    • @virtuovice
      @virtuovice  Před 4 lety +1

      @@zroh_in I don't think it goes too hot. Its power steps down in 5 minutes to 750 lumens.
