    I like the Christmas tree and it's one of the few sets I've been able to flip locally for a profit during Christmas while it's still not retired. That being said, I think the possibility of an immediate new Christmas Tree release is huge.

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před měsícem

      Yep, totally agree, it’s an unfortunate risk. Might be one that if it sees a good jump in price right after retirement, can be sold just a few months later for a good profit and avoid the risk of LEGO releasing another tree next Christmas…

    I like the 31143 birdhouse. In Australia at least it's low on supply at sells for 60%+ over full retail and has been for a while.

    The executive destroyer I’m high on, but paying retail makes me want to move it down. But the gwp would be the only path to get it at a discount. Do you think it won’t go on a discount?

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před měsícem

      No one knows for sure if it won’t go on sale, just my hunch. Personally I would not pay MSRP, I’ll likely be getting all of mine from LEGO during GWP promotions with a cash back site, insiders points, and credit card cash back to create a good discount.

    Would the AT-TE BE A Good investment because you can get them for almost 40-50% off in certain Walmarts it’s retiring this year and it was value is 140 with a collectible commander Cody along with a huge clone lineup compared to previous ones.

    Great content, thanks. Just a simple remark : maybe it's me, but I find it a bit disturbing that you look down at a text you probably wrote instead of consistently watching the camera while talking. Sorry to say, maybe it's my OCD! Anyway keep adding good content :)

      Thanks! Yeah, my videos are fully scripted. Throughout the past year of making videos, I’ve tried out a few different styles and methods. Writing down all my thoughts before filming helps save me a lot of time while filming, makes sure I don’t forget anything important I wanted to say, and reduces my editing time. I’m hoping that over time I’ll be able to rely on it less!

    • @gmed7652
      @gmed7652 Před měsícem

      Sign up for honey , add it as an extension on your browser. You would go to like for example Lego website , something should pop up saying would you like to activate rewards , and then when you go to checkout it should ask you if you would like to search for coupons. And then it should tell you how much you will be getting cash back .

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před 28 dny +1

      I probably won’t go through the process in a YT video, but it’s pretty straightforward. Just create an account and download the browser extension. You can activate Honey by either going to their website or directly on LEGO.com with the extension. You’ll be able to see if a set has an exclusive offer on the honey pop up when you click on each set, or you can browse the offers on Honey directly.

    Ebay listings are one thing. What are the sold prices of completed auctions. Don't forget to subtract the outrageous Ebay fees. "Collectors" have over bought and saturated the "markets". It needs to be a really limited special set to make it profit. 👎

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před měsícem +3

      In many of my videos, I highlight the realities of eBay fees and shipping costs. That’s why I’m always targeting significant discounts on my investments. The market is definitely not a good as it was back in the early-mid 2010s, but in my experience, as long as you’re disciplined and buying thoroughly research sets at good discounts, there’s still plenty of profit to be made.

    Pink parrot not good for amazon sellers as it is seach surpressed.

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před měsícem

      From what I’ve seen, most Amazon listings of retailer exclusives are suppressed while the set is still in production. Once those sets are retired, they typically are unsuppressed. Have you seen differently?

    • @coreytpregent2360
      @coreytpregent2360 Před měsícem

      No just many of those are suppressed. Hp first flying lesson is still suppressed. Seems pretty rare for something to un- supress

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před měsícem

      Your comment got me thinking about this and I did some digging. To test our hypothesis I looked up every store exclusive set that retired in 2023 to see how many were search suppressed. Then I looked up every store exclusive set that is currently scheduled to retire. I found that 15% of sets that retired in 2023 are search suppressed and 50% of sets slated to retire in 2024 are search suppressed.
      Based off these findings I’d expect many of the suppressed listings for retiring sets will be unsuppressed. Either that or there has been a large shift and they stay suppressed. I expect it’s the former.
      Here’s the data below:
      Retired in 2023:
      2/7 Target
      1/5 Walmart
      0/3 Amazon (makes sense haha)
      1/2 Barnes & Noble
      0/1 Kohl’s
      3/29 (excluding Monkie Kid since many of those sets don’t have listings on Amazon yet)
      Total: 15% search suppressed
      Retiring in 2024:
      11/12 Target
      6/9 Walmart
      0/3 Amazon (duh)
      1/2 Kohl’s
      9/28 (excluding Monkie Kid since many of those sets don’t have listings on Amazon yet)
      Total: 50% search suppressed

      @napkinx4341 Před měsícem

      @@TheBrickDynastythe mechs may be selling well but that is absolutely parent who are picking up a cheap set for their kid it isn’t collectors or anyone that’s going to be spending any effort trying to buy it on the secondary market, for boba fett this is a bit different since he’s incredibly popular and it’s a good figure of him so people may still seek out the mech after retirement, for basic figures like the storm trooper there’s going to be no incentive it’s far less collectible of a sub line to the sort of people that are willing to buy things at a price hike on resale

    • @TheBrickDynasty
      @TheBrickDynasty  Před měsícem

      Fair point, I think where we disagree is what demographic we think is buying these sets. Parents buying a cheap set for their kid is definitely happening, but if that was the only demographic, then I’d expect the sales numbers between the 3 sets would be about the same. The stormtrooper having 3k more sold a month makes me believe there’s more to the demand for that set than just parents.
