Great video yet again! I'd love to listen more about your strategy for selling. All about reaching a certain target ROI? Or you wait longer/shorter depending on value changing?
Thanks! My investing strategy is to buy sets at a low enough price to be able to sell them at year to a year and a half after retirement for double my money after shipping and fees. This is a pretty aggressive strategy, which is why many of my target buy prices in my videos are low. To add onto that, not all investments will perform as expected, everyone has differing opinions on what to do when this happens, but I’m all about compounding my money. So if a set still hasn’t reached 2x a year & a half after retirement, I’m selling it off to reinvest in a retiring set that will grow much faster than the underperforming set the money was currently in.

Awesome! It is, I shared my experiences in the Discord over the past couple months. A member also just got ungated last month. And another member is planning to in the next couple weeks. There’s a channel in the Discord for selling questions, myself or other members selling on Amazon would be happy to answer any questions that you have about getting ungated to sell LEGO on Amazon.
As an aside, I get a lot of questions about the ungating process, so I may go over that process in an upcoming Patreon video as well.
I just don't understand why people collect them. They look like a Lego version of Funko Pops, which have crashed and burned.
If I just want characters, I can collect minifigs which have a much nicer aesthetic...
Brickheadz are good investment but sometimes they require longer hold times, but easy to store and ship
I thought Endor Heroes was a sure fire winner, but here in Australia, they’re still available in high numbers on the shelves of many Lego stores. They never offered the 40% off down here though.
Yeah because of how many sets LEGO produced at the end of it’s life, it’s caused it to have a slower start in retirement
I really like the Sonic brickheadz! Frodo and Golem was a gwp at one point, so not too surprised its a lil more saturated thsn others. Awesome!

Did you see the latest Bricktap updates 😭😭😭?? Basically all my May the 4th purchases got extended except for the Brickheadz I used to barely get over thresholds.
I saw that a few Star Wars sets got extended this morning on the Bricktap discord. I passed on the Ghost because I just had a feeling 12/31/2024 was too soon to retire for such a long awaited set and thought it would be pushed back. I feel better about having more time now. I assume that the new Gunship got pushed back for much the same reason. People been waiting on one for a while even if its not the default colors they wanted. It also seemed weird that the Super Star Destroyer midi scale set was retiring so soon since the line just launched last year and is doing really well so 2025 makes more sense there too. A lot of non-Star Wars sets though got pushed up to this year.
I did haha, it was unfortunate news for some sets, but also a few interesting sets moved up to 2024! Any of the Ghost, SSD, and Gunship that I have, I will be selling over the next few months for the going rate. I’ll still make a great return at those prices 50-100% profit because of how cheaply I was able to buy the sets. Then I’ll take that money and reinvest into retiring sets.
@@mbrannon yeahhh it was too bad, but it does make more sense from LEGO’s standpoint. I also think it was totally calculated by them to update that info just after May the 4th lol.
Some of the sets pushed up to 2024 are very interesting! I’ll be sharing my full thoughts on these updates in my video next week 🫡

Everyone will choose smaller sets....a lot of pwople cannot afford big sets anymore.
How do you sell on Amazon ?
There are 2 main steps, you need to create an Amazon seller account, then you need to apply to get ungated to sell the LEGO brand. There are also many useful videos out there that cover how to sell on Amazon 👍

How much more are you losing profit wise by using Amazon's FBA? All you have to do is buy and ship to them, but everything they are doing on your behalf has to significantly cut deep into your profits no matter how much you sell over retail price.
You can search for “Amazon FBA calculator” on Google and see how much you’ll pay Amazon in fees depending on what set you’re sending in. It’s a really helpful tool and in my experience, you come out making more money because of how much more LEGO sets sell for on Amazon vs. eBay. The fees are honestly pretty reasonable as well, in my opinion
If everyone goes for brickheadz...they stay in stock forever....we saw this many times, thanks to youtuber who tell beginners and Lemmings what to do.
I’m not telling anyone what to do, only providing analysis of how the theme has performed.
The beginners using price match are tanking prices
Don't forget about Amazon's new inbound fees really hurts small sets
That is true, just have to factor that into your profit calculations before shipping into FBA. Overtime I think that will just push smaller sets to even higher prices to compensate for those added fees
As in stock buying, you have really be reluctant to believe what the brick investors are saying. They serve themselves, they only disclose information that serves them. I don't listen to brick investors, or stock pundants. They are trying to drive the market to benefit them. Data analysis is a much better way to go when determining great buys.
I definitely agree that everyone should do their own research before making any investment. In regard to my videos, I try to be as transparent as possible with my content. Highlighting the positives and negatives of investing. I’m an open book when it comes to my thoughts on sets, my target buy prices, my successes, and my failures.
I hope you’ll follow my journey on CZcams over time and see that to be true :)
