Couple of quick add-ons:
-You need to complete a task to enhance a vault helmet similar to a normal altar
-as of 8.0.2, spawners can no longer be found in the top layer of a village room

Good stuff again Hellfire! Today I ran across library room... I was having 6 min but wanted to complete the vault... I regret now cause I didn't complete that. after seeing video I know what was inside downstairs. I don't understand why old omega rooms like the city room disapeared from this part of VH? We could have much bigger variety of them if these were not removed...
this update made me come back to vh again. it was getting stale and the new stuff added some spice to the game. and also the addition of the modifier workbench is really good. it is much easier to make builds without spending too many coins on armor.
I think it's a brilliant update and a real breath of fresh air to the modpack

Getting rid of the evil spawners on the top level of villages is the best thing in this update. You'd hear mobs but couldn't see spawners or the mobs and it induced panic attacks lol

With inscriptions, every time the instability "hits", there is a 70% chance to add a curse, and a 30% chance to exhaust the crystal. Instability has the listed percentage chance to make this happen every time you modify the crystal, so it's best to add the low instability crystals first. You can also add catalysts.
As to the cost, it's mainly the echo gems as 324 bronze is only four gold.
The odds are 75/25 :p

I don’t know if it’s the Java update I did or the allocation of 8gb memory or the new update 8 of vault hunters but I can finally play it with no stutters/hitching every 10 seconds and I’m loving it thanks for the tips for us new 3rd edition players. 👍

I believe you can swap the blank slots in gear and hotbars if you hold the shift key and press the swap button on the wardrobe.

Great video, covered a lot of info well and quickly. The off centre omega room still haunts me lol. With regards to catalysts/catalyst fragments, what levels do they start appearing at and in what chests? I'm hurting for knowledge essence and would love to do a living run, but holding shift in game over a fragmentdoesn't give any info as to where they are found :(
I can't remember off the top of my head but I know it is early game. It might even be level 0

They're the jewels you add to pickaxes etc to improve them 😊 if you check out my update 7 (pickaxe) video, it's all in there 😃

I dont know if you have talked about this but do yall plan on doing secret room inside the vault like 1.16 for example one room had a puzzle at the top of the room?

Gotta say it first anyway looking forward for this
So I had been finding some of the more recent updates quite hurtful to my gameplay experience. I think this really offset some of that. I especially like that the gems are now one gemstone instead of two. I do feel that there are some things that really need to be made a bit easier to deal with still. But In a way, this really brought some fun back into the vaults. And I ran a vault with a room that had a lot of diamond ore that I had never seen before. I just got my first Pickarang so I went full-on with it and I'm thinking I'm pretty set for a while on them. Just kind of hoping it works in the Rooms with vault stone and chromatic iron ore.
I'm actually hearing this quite a lot from people, it's really good to see people thinking it's going in the right direction now
@@Hellfirem4ge It comes and goes really. Some of the updates are really solid and then some almost seem like a huge "Screw you" The Botany Pots ending up way more expensive was a notable one for me. I also feel like Progression as far as skill points and Knowledge points just drag on way too long and it seems now like that has gotten a bit worse. I think the biggest problem right now is the things I need to simplify and speed up a lot of projects and farms are all locked behind POGs Specifically xeenium I get every other player gem in truckloads now even getting Echo far more frequently than it. I barely had enough to squeak out enough pogs for the Pickarang. I really enjoy the game but some of these changes make it really hard to do that.
@@terryrhuebottom yeah I feel that for sure, although I've not seen an echo since like level 10 and everyone else keeps finding them 😅

Is there a way to lower the vault crystal level? I'm looking through the patch notes and can't find any information except old information about diamonds.
There was something a while back that allowed you to lower it but part of me thinks it's been removed. I'm not 100% sure one way or the other

@@ariessnow9081 I made a blank inscription that had 0% instability and then just cloned it and added it a bunch of times in creative ☺️

I own a server that runs vault hunters, do I need to install the update manually or should the server do that itself?
You'll need to do it both on the server and client side and normally you have to do it manually for both
I thought the flywheels from Create didn't do anything? I might be wrong, though

Hi I was wondering what the best way to break permanent mob spawners as a level 10 vault hunter. I have the haste ability with a chromatic pickaxe, and it still is really hard to break these spawners
Make sure you have efficiency 5 on the pickaxe ☺️
@@Hellfirem4ge Thanks! I'll try it out. Also another issue popped up where I put a ton of mining speed jewel upgrades on my chromatic pickaxe, and now the pickaxe can't break any blocks now. Is this a glitch or is this maybe an intended debuff?
It shouldn't stop you mining normal blocks, it must be a bug

hello gamer. love your guids on this game. i have a bigg problem, i need allot of inksacks but cant get them. i have built 3 different farms, at the chunk i saw aqtubus spawn but when i build a farm there i onely get fich. i have taken out wahter around farms but not lucky. please help me and sorry for bad spelling. love to play vaulthunter but cant do any more vault need inksacks. thanks for good vidiors and looking foward to more:)
Honestly, I don't have much more advice than to check the biome and make sure that youre following the farm tutorials correctly. Ive managed to build one without too many issues

i downloaded the server pack from curseforge
If it's a server, you'll need update the pack on the actual server config itself. Normally it will just say update available

This update gave me the push I needed to finally quit vaulthunters. They just HAD to remove the minimap glitch :(
I'll be honest, I've never used the expanding the minimap thing in 1.18 😅
