One thing you missed that people should be aware of: Jewels also have level. If you’re on a multiplier world and get a jewel higher then your level and apply it to a vault tool you will not be able to use the tool at all.

I am loving what they have done to the vaults in 1.18. Instead of the usual "room filled with random chests", every room looks artistically unique and fun to loot. You rarely get bored upon seeing the Pois. That alone is amazing!
One thing! Item rarity affects the rarity of the chest, not the items inside. Also! Iskall said in his stream it's a lot more effective now, I run full item rarity/quantity and the loot is heckin amazing

I'm glad you pointed out the new PoIs! Those have been my favorite new feature this update, which is astounding because the tool changes are incredible and I hadn't realized how good the magnet change was until this video. super helpful, as i was a bit confused with the new picks not mining coins very fast lol, makes since now, however i am starting a new world do to my lvl 29 world i died many times and i ran out of back up gear and re buy cost broke 300 silver, so even after buying platinum from the black market i couldnt even afford it. so with the new update i was back down to netherite sword and let me tell you how under powered that is when trying to take on a normal spawner or ambush spawner
Oh yeah I can imagine!!! At that point you gotta just hide with a crossbow or reduce the levels of your crystals
@@Hellfirem4ge yeah it also sucks running lvl 28+ vaults have reduced gear chances. And now that alloy is not in the chests and the low amount of vault dust I seem to get now as well makes it harder. Also I shared a link to this video to a person asking for this info on the vault hunters discord you covered so much good info!

To make your guide videos easier, you should put a 2x2 Creative Drawer with specific level Vault Crystals next to your portals.
I definitely should do that, but a lot of them have specific rooms etc added to them to make things easier ☺️

Thank you. These help a lot. But one question? What effect does the coinpile affinity have? Is it a must to mine coins or is ot just a boost to the mining speed?
I honestly don't know because it's bugged at the moment 😅 my assumption would be that it just mines faster because now else would you get coins? 😅
@@Hellfirem4ge I just tested it in a creative VH world and I was so confused when I went to mine coinpiles and nothing would drop. But it turned out to be the too low level crystal, not my pick. Lv 9 crystal doesn’t drop coins when you are level 35. And it seems to be just the mining speed. Thank you for making these videos. It puts my mind at ease when I concretely can see what the update has in it. Its harder to pick up from notes only.
Coinpile affinity increases mining speed. You can still mine them without it.
also magnets r immortal in overworld as well
Reaping isn't missing? Guy in my server has a pick of reaping. Looks sick too
It's missing on the file and I rolled over 2000 gems and didn't get it so I'm confident it's not there.. You can add picking to a sickle and still get a pickaxe of reaping but you can't add reaping to a pickaxe

Thisis a great explanation. THanks... so what do we do to break spawners now? I just got smashed in a vault (at level 10) that my efficiency 5 netherite pickaxe can no longer break a spawner within a year... Do I have to craft the first level pickaxe to be able to do this again?
Yes, netherite picks can't break spawners anymore ☺️
Btw the rainbow effect in prismatic picks still exists, and the animations on other picks too. You just need to a change a setting in rubidium that is disabling it by default
The new picks look super ugly without the shifting texture ngl

@@Hellfirem4ge pretty sure you need to have rubidium extras installed though. I don't think that ships with the pack for some reason. But anyway the setting has something to do with item rendering in it's description iirc
Hey, as someone thats just gotten into vault hunters, how do i break spawners (in vaults)? regular pickaxes dont seem to do it!
You need one of the new vault pickaxes (chromatic iron, steel etc)

just use a repair core on it in an anvil :)
also they nerfed netherrite pickaxes they cant mine spawners anymore not sure if that was this update or previous one

@@Kraxhor he said that his audience retention was bad on them a.k.a those videos were not well recieved in terms of how many people watched them etc. and it was in general, not good for his channel and not worth his effort. So he said he would probably release them in his second channel, or just show off the update in streams.
Question for you... Has anyone figured out a working mod that functions similarly to Reply Mod and is compatible with Forge and Vault Hunters Season 3?

We've not found anything that works well without completely crashing. There is a replay mod port to forge but good luck recording anything more than 15 seconds with it 😅
Since there is a Coin affinity jewel, what is actually the intended way of gathering coins from coin piles? I always mine them with my pickaxe. Am I missing something?
That's right, coin affinity just let's you do it much quicker
did this update also disable the breaking of spawners?
There seems to be a glitch with them yeah, it's not an intentional thing

Netherite cannot break spawners anymore. Tool station crafted tools can.
Can you tell what is the difference between update 7 and 7H?
7h is a hotfix. There's some minor changes but nothing game changing ☺️

I have the problem that I cant craft anything because I have not enough vault ingots to make vault alloy and also I mostly dont have enough carbon :(

Hy. I'm having an issue in the game and as I can't figure out the discord im typing it here out of despair: For some reason I'm unable to break spawners in the vault. Its like my efficiency enchant isn't working on them. Don't know if its an intended feature or a bug. Can anyone help?
You'll need one of the new pickaxes. The old ones (and netherite ones) won't work ☺️
@@Hellfirem4ge I tried that. Build a chromatic steel one. still didn't work. but i'll try again.
@@guyfrommercury6949 yeah definitely do! I made a chromatic steel pick this morning and was able to put eff on it and break spawners no problem!
@@Hellfirem4ge as it turns out I, in my endless stupidity, forgott to put efficiency on it... it took me 4 chrystals and the rainbow god himself to figure that out XD Thx man

What about the spawners ? How to break them fast? Or is this now Ninja looting ?
You can break them with a pickaxe as normal I believe but there was a bug in this patch which made them basically unbreakable. I'm not 100% sure if it's been fixed
Thanks that was fast :) you can’t put efficiency anymore in the tool , so I am not able to break them before they spawn again
You should still be able to add efficiency to the tools. At least people on the SMP server have managed to do it
@@Hellfirem4ge netherite pickaxes are now ineffective against spawners. You need a tool station tool to do it.

smeltng it's a fucking OP . imagine has tool with fortune and with silk touch and it's takes so long to raw ores become ingots and need tons of coal BUT with pick that have smelting u can literaly throw away all your coal do raw ore blocks an with venminer get them all in already smelted blocks. THAT SAVE SO MUCH TIME IM DUCKING HAPPY...andd after i got t from viddeo how vanila imm works now i want to do fortune pick with it and mine without carry about that my pick can broke omg lolololololololoololololololl my brain got smarter (but not my english/ it's only gets more awful)
