After Godzilla and Kong Skull Island, Warner Bros keeps the Monsterverse rolling with Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is leading up to a big monster showdown in Godzilla vs. Kong.
The movie didn’t make as much money as the two previous movies and definitely raises some questions. Like what’s up with Emma’s change of heart? Why did she suddenly flip-flop from wanting to kill millions of people to thinking that’s too intense? Why was she so reckless with her daughter’s life? Why did everyone send the Godzilla expert to blow himself up? Why did that one pilot eject his seat directly into the mouth of a monster? Why is it always raining? Or snowing? Or smokey? Why do we keep cutting away to people staring blankly at the action?

Well, everyone pretty much wanted to see her die after all she'd done to that point, so blowing her up felt less like redemption and more like giving the audience what they wanted to me.

@@williamcrane8236 to be fair, she had been manipulated by her mum. Emotional manipulation is easy for a parent most often and especially in this case where the child has suffered such loss (brother and father), it would have been even easier for the parent to do so

Honestly, it seems like it divided up the fan base as well. I see a lot of people talk about how they hate it (mostly of the reasons were listed in the video) while others like myself absolutely love it.

I was so hyped for it, especially after Skull Island did something crazy and actually showed monsters fighting. But then I was also so disappointed in Godzilla 2. Great CGI for the 3 scenes that had actual monsters doing things...
At least we'll probably have clear shots of fighting in godzilla vs kong, and apparently there's going to be a full 5 minute uncut fight

its been confirmed by the movie itself, its says "from the survivors haven't been able to tell us much more than what the footage allows" and since all the scientists got shot, we can confirm that at least some of those mothra victims survived, but one of them did die, the one that got caught into a pre-existing web, that poor soul got eaten by a giant spider
