I feel like Hassan got done really dirty. He was good at what he did and the story worked, but in the end it was really bad timing.
I've always felt like that as well. He got crapped on for literally doing what he was supposed to do, while crazy a**holes did catastrophic damage during.

@@arvurebantra7639 They didn't really even take it that far, nothing about the storyline was all that controversial aside from him being middle eastern and hating America. The gear those guys came out in aren't even what they typically wear, other than looking somewhat military. That was just WWE overreacting, and probably because some politician cried over it.
There are a lot of people who worked in WWE at the time who have said that in current-era WWE he wouldn't have had any backstage heat at all. He was literally in the wrong era of the company.

I think the Chris Jericho and Stephanie McMahon affair would have been a great storyline. It also would have been great for a heel like Muhammad Hassan to win the World Heavyweight Championship in Washington DC from Batista. Now those will only just be big what ifs.
You forgot to include the supposed death of Mr. McMahon. He was seen going into his limo at the end of Raw or Smackdown (I cannot remember which). Then the camera panned away and we see the limo explode (It was edited horribly. It was obvious that the character was not in the limo having exited on the other side of the away from the camera ). The weekend between the episode where the limo blew up and the next episode, Chris Benoit murdered his son and wife and killed himself. McMahon was shown on TV on NXT the day after the Benoit Raw tribute episode apologizing for the tribute episode. The limo explosion angle never mentioned again.
Sable in the Ministry of Darkness might've been an okay fit, I mean she already had her own pair of mystical urns
I'd have found Taz running down Steve Austin more believable than Rikishi. They could have claimed that Taz forgot his booster seat and that he couldnt see over the steering wheel.

@@stewartmcrae8007it's a 90s British kids annoying character, guy in a suit like Barney... pink polka dots and only says Blobby and usually wrecks TV sets and messes with people.... So annoying and was never entertaining to anyone but somehow was constantly on TV for a few years.
They really dropped the ball with the rikishi an Austin angle I remember a friend of mine who was much more of a wrestling fan that I was at the time said that he thought DDP was going to be the wheel man that would have made for a really exciting angle I think a DDP Austin feud would have been awesome an DDP as a heel would have been a great way for him to break into the WWE
They wouldn't have drawn it out that long, DDP was in WCW (the real one) until the end in early 2001. He was entrenched in WCW at the times of the angle AND the reveal nearly a year later...

If it was 97 then it could explain the weird booking around Mero & Sable earlier that year and what they tried to do with them and Taker on that one Superstars episode.
Correction: After the backlash from that episode of Smackdown, WWE wanted to send Muhammad Hassan (aka Marc Copani) back to OVW for repackaging. Marc Copani's WWE career came to a sudden end because he was unwilling to return to developmental.
The Two Storylines They Should've Been Cancelled At The Time Was Lita's Interaction With Both Edge And Kane.
The Kane part of it absolutely should’ve been. There was no reason for Kane to be written that way. But Edge getting involved was the best thing to happen to Edge’s career. That part should stay the same, minus the Kane involvement.
I was expecting to see the thankfully axed mcmahon incest angle on this list of Cancelled WWE Storylines.
What about the rumored "Vince was going to be the father of Stephanie's baby" storyline?

Tazz, Kurt Angle or even Chris Benoit would have been better choices for the guy that ran over Austin, instead of Rikishi.
Sable might have been like gold back in the Attitude Era but she really didn't appreciate it & her heart really wasn't in it but she got pushed & promoted to the moon just for being gorgeous & sexy to Vince McMahon who kissed her ass & made a big deal about her. But he never done that for Luna Vachon.

The depressing part is the terroristic angle wasn't even needed and reduced Hussan to just another cliched "I'm no from here so I must destroy America" character. I was so disappointed when WWE went that route,

How could they forget the storyline of McMahon's limo exploding? One week, he's killed and the next week, due to the Benoit case, it's completely forgotten about and never mentioned.
I was hoping for the storyline they had on NXT a few years ago when it was still a reality show where everyone was getting attacked and every time it was pointing towards Percy Watson cause a piece of Percy's stuff was found at the scene. I was so in to the storyline and they dropped it all of a sudden after a few weeks
You can't convince me that Nailz vs Taker would have been worse than most early-mid 90s Taker feuds.
It would have been a way, way better feud than the Undertaker vs Giant Gonzalez one, if that can even be considered a feud to begin with.

I don't think it was Sara, this storyline would have been in the late '90s, right? It was probably Understaker’s first wife, one never mentioned or shown on TV.
If this story is true, it was Taker's first wife.
He didn't get together with Sara until 1999 by which they were already divorced and Sable was also gone (or on her way out) from the company.

after the match where brock legit busted orton's head open. there was a stare down and words between the two. brock squashed the idea, probably to avoid selling shane's shitty but real punches.
Not just words, he ate the F-5; I guess the 2022 Rumble was our pay-off! 🤦♂🤦♂🤣🤣
Although, perversely, I would've wanted to see Brock's reaction to being stiffed by Shane; remember him losing his shit with Braun after a full-on knee-lift, and shoot-punching him square in the temple while screaming a censored expletive? 🤣🤣🤬

The whole jakr and warrior story line was about the undertaker, because jade was getting him ready for a supposed match with him, but it was turned around when the undertaker turned up on the final part to show he was working for the undertaker,

This shows my age, but wayyy back when, in the WWF there were several canned promos introducing a trio of western cowboy types--Dutch Mantell, Black Bart, and someone else (can't remember). These vapid promos ran for four or five weeks, and then just disappeared, with no matches or anything. Odd.

Hassan was such a great character and it was WWE's own damn fault for what happened with him. The angle that aired the same day was PRE-TAPED, so they could have literally aired anything else and been fine.
Nailz and Taker wouldve been a great Rivalry,in my opinion if only Nailz didnt beat Vince's ass Nailz wouldve been talked about today as one Undertakers great early Rivals like a Kamala or Yokozuna
Quick story: When Stephanie was pregnant with one of her children Vince once pitched an idea that he be the father of her baby

As nice as Heyman with Benoit would've been, without him Brock would have floundered since Heyman was pretty vital for the mic work.
Hornswoggle got to be the last WWE Cruiserweight Champion before the 205 Live revival of the title, the illegitimate son of Vince McMahon, and the anonymous Raw GM. WWE dropped the ball on those storylines.
I loved the anonymous raw general manager storyline. it did go on too long but at least it was something different for once.
2:12 later they did just this thing in WCW, but with Hollywood Hulk Hogan and the warrior! And was Vince Russo not in charge of WCW then? 🤔

I think Undertaker and Sable as a Evil couple would have been good.......I also think Undertaker and Stephine being a evil couple at the time would have been good... if you watch the RAW where Undertaker marrys Stephanie........Paul Bearer finished the Marriage Ceramony before Austin came out...........he said you may now kiss the bride.....which is the end of the Marriage Ceramony. and this took place months before the HHH / Steph storyline marriage. so in storyline they could say Undertaker married Steph before HHH.

I'm really glad those were cancelled storylines they really seemed really really bad.
I see a lot of people praising Hassan but the gimmick was distasteful and would have ended up even worse for the company had he won the title.

The funny thing about Mohammed Hassan(other than the fact he was Italian and not Arab) was that the character originally was an Arab-American upset that Arabs were being misidentified as terrorists especially him as he was American born. Then what does the WWF do? Make him into a terrorists. Also, one you didn't list was the who killed Vince storyline that was scrapped due to the Benoit murders. Oh, and no mention of GTV?
It suck's that real life terrible acts ended up ruining Muhammad Hassan's career. He got screwed over.
Mohammad Hassan's biggest mistake that dooms all who succumb to it: jobber tights.
Kevin Nash being outed as the anonymous Raw GM and then that leading to him being an on-screen authority figure would have been fantastic. He would have been really entertaining, and he wouldn't have had to wrestle. It's a win-win in my books.
I don't care how good Benoit was in the ring. He shouldn't even be on list like this. He deserves to be forgotten. Remember his wife and child next time you make your little list. Erase Benoit from the world
