  • In this episode, Autonomous Dave gives essential tips for selecting vacant land for your build.
When looking for vacant land in Joshua Tree or the High Desert area of Southern California, it is essential to visit the prospective property in person. Only in person will you be able to get a real sense of access, views, remoteness, the density of native vegetation and if there are any Joshua Trees on the property. You will also have a chance to visualize the house you want to build and if the size of the property will be sufficient. It is also helpful to understand what it takes to bring utilities to the site as well as the area’s flood, fire, and earthquake hazard zones.

Thanks for the informative video. I purchased a few lots out in JT and nearby 29 Palms. Steps I took to select my lots were similar to what your video mentioned. Keep up the great work. 👍

Your video has been the most informative of all the JT videos. Thank you for posting this! You're actually talking about the reality of what you have to do so thank you. I'm in the process of looking at land and have been getting costs together for water, power, septic. etc. The more remote you are the more expensive for sure. I would love to connect and see where you are in your process.
