    The reason the explosions were colorful and don't show blood or viscera is because of Valentine's hatred of blood. It's still silly, but really this entire movie doesn't take itself THAT seriously.

      I honestly loved how they didn't do that romantic bullshit or at least saved it to develop organically. It's been way too long since I've seen a movie where the attractive male and the attractive female lead develop a platonic, equally intriguing relationship. It was very refreshing to see and really took me by surprise.

Also, I don’t think anyone got the idea to shoot up a church from watching this scene from an elaborate superspy movie. That logic is equivalent to video gamers becoming serial killers.

    The "shoot the dog" scene bothered me. They kept repeating "teamwork" and telling them that the dog would be their greatest ally, so regardless of whether or not the gun had blanks, it doesn't make sense for it to be considered a failure to not shoot their ally. Also it's kind of weird that he made that a sin when the gun having blanks was actually a change when someone told the director that the audience wouldn't like the Kingsman group if they killed a dog.

      no idea, but a tarantino film is much more violent than this one ever was. the guy at the beginning that gets cut in half? almost no blood, just a red line that shows what has happened to him. so it goes for the whole movie, the blood is there, but very suptile. makes sense. less blood means lower rating, which means more possible audience. and this movie seems perfect for teens because it has action and humor. look at mad max for example. quite a lot of shooting and violence, but almost no visible blood.

    I agree with this completely apart from a few.
    1. In the pub with Galahad it was mentioned that he was an Olympic level gymnast so the parkour scene doesn't deserve a sin
    2. The chips explode with colour because Valentine hates blood and this movie is just like that not taking itself seriously
    3. I think the church scene deserves at least 15 sins off because its simply epic.
    4.In the church scene when the hand grenade explodes it takes Galahad out of the trance from the chips for a second and he realises what he's doing until the ringing in his ears stops from the explosion and he can hear the signal again where he goes back into the murderous mindset so I think that deserves a sin or 2 off for detail
    5. It avoided the "Get with the closest female you have trained with for quite a while and that you have had multiple dangerous encounters with" Cliche
    6. Even if they did shoot at Eggsy's legs and feet in that scene it wouldn't matter as the suits are bulletproof
    If anyone has any arguments against it please let me know! :)

    05:57 I disagree that Eggsy should have known the train tracks wasn’t life-threatening. He was on assignment with Roxy and Charlie at a bar when he passed out and woke to find himself tied to a train track in a place he knows not. Then a stranger shows up with a knife and a train comes barreling in your direction. It’s definitely reasonable to think that your life is in danger.

    The toilet breathing scene would work - as long as the water in the room wasnt deep enough to constantly refill the toilet bowls; which is about 8 feet shallower than this room. That much water would flood the entire waste stack, as well as the vent stack to the height of the water in the room (they must be constantly pumping water in by the shit-ton, otherwise the room would be emptying thru the toilets, sink drains and shower drains and never get more than knee deep). So youd need 4' of hose to get down thru the trap to the horiz run, then ~4' more to the wall (assuming the waste line ran that direction and not some longer route) then 12 or so more feet back up to the air. And then you are going to have to inhale only thru the pipe and exhale thru your nose (which they obviously are not) because back-and-forth breathing thru the hose wont ever get you any fresh air - the hose is too long - youll just be rebreathing your own exhaust. Which is great if youre hyperventilating, not so much if youre in an aquarium. And of course as you jammed the hose down the toilet, its going to be scraping, lets just call it yuck, off the sides of the pipe the whole way, for you to inhale. And the odds of the hose not getting stuck in one of the bends, especially where the tee behind the wall points down not up...

    The most annoying thing about the first part of this cinemasins is that the whole pub scene along with the the cringe about Eggsy's name and the BBC News scene is because this movie is a bit more relateable to the British people. The whole deal with the pub? Probably because it's the cheapest place to drink in the local area and who's going to turn down a drink because some arseholes are drinking there aswell? The rest can speak for themselves but the whole lack of faith part like the train scene is objectionable because you aren't going to be unfazed by the fact that you're tied to a fucking train track!

    • @robinlovell1617
      @robinlovell1617 Před 8 lety +38

      You are right. The pub scenes need to have all their sins removed, they shouldn't be sinned just because the reviewer doesn't understand life in the seedier parts of Sarf Landon. All that stuff completely resonates. Also, the sin for him being good at 'parkour' - well its explained in the first pub scene that Eggsy (great choice of authentic British nickname) excelled at gymnastics, as well as being a Marine. Remove a sin. Finally, someone else here commented on the fashion choice Eggsy wears - buttoned up polo. Anywhere in inner-city Britain, you will see yoofs dressed exactly that way. But it wasn't officially sinned so hmmmmmok.
