      Big 3 will be hall of fame with others like Sampras, Agassi, Becker etc.
      You can not be the best for ever.
      Sampras game was compared with Federer on Grass & it will be compared with others in the future.
      Same way, Nadal game will be compared with someone in future on Clay.

      Shapo is an exhibition tennis player. He along with his friend felix should stick to exhibition matches until they find a coach who can help them to not double fault and miss easy shots in a very crucial point in their games.😠

      So let me ask you, why is shapo not the no. 1 or no. 2 player in the world? He has all the technical skills and he has the flare.
      He does not have the killer instinct. Look at Danil or even Rublev for example, you have to play the point not rush to finish it(leaving Novak aside)

    Rafael Nadal might have lost but he look much better physically and with his movements. I see lot of positives here and just hoping his left foot is better and nothing is serious so that he can concentrate to get back the precision and tenacity at AO.

      Maybe he's adapting his game so that it's less physical and less taxing on his body.. just like Roger and Nole adapted their games after injury, or after a drop off in form.. so just give it time.. hopefully he'll come good.. hoping so 🙏🏻

      Nadal never defends much in Abu Dhabi. He always plays full offense here to find form. He also crushed Shapo in practice apparently. I wouldn’t read much into these results. He will have Melbourne to play into form and then hopefully he gets a few easy matches at the Australian Open.

    Only injuries could keep this warrior out of the Game. It hurted seeing this. Still he may comeback but if he does not, his legacy is already firmly established. I've been watching tennis since Laver days. Rafa is among the greatest irrelevant of slams. Overall...attitude, sportmanship, spirit, composed. #ThanksRafa

    Tennis is a beautiful sport when played on a quick surface! Shapo playing with the depth of McEnroe, Rafa seems to have made some adjustments of improvement but he has never been an attacking player tactically.

    Practically none of these comments are congratulating Shapo WITHOUT mentioning Nadal. Nadal is great, this isn't up for debate so why does everyone have to downplay Shapo's performance? Foot injury this, not comfortable that.

    I didn't see the match but it looks like Nadal it's still having problems with his foot,maybe not the whole match but at the end of the third set,I not really sure but we can see clearly in very last points,that's not good news.

    Nadal was cleary out of timing. We know his legs are not the same, even before the injury, but his forhand used to be more deep and penetrating. It is to soon to judge. We need to give him more matches.

    I'm honestly a lifelong Rafa fan but I do feel like this time there is a robust, palpable gap in where the game is at and where he is with his career. OK he's just come back but these guys at the top are just so strong, quick and solid that Rafa's frailer and slightly slower game won't be able to match up. I know this may be unpopular but looking at Zverev and Medvedev and co I just don't know how Rafa would impact their game.
