Even though some players have a special dislike for Nadal, I don't think Nadal has enemies. If Nadal likes you, he's going to give a 100% to beat you. If he doesn't like you, he's going to give 100% to beat you. There's no difference.

He explained how he tried to interrupt all of Nadal's OCD behavior because he was annoyed by how it was always the way Nadal wanted things to go. For example leaving the dressing room last and walking last in on the court and so on. Robin tried to disrupt all that. I think that is why it got to 5 sets.

Federer did it...played manfully against Rafa but could not win on clay however much he tried... they ended up being very respectful friends. However, if Rafa says that he tried saying Hi to this soderling guy 7 or 10 times and never got a friendly response - he must be telling the truth - he was so much of a kid those days...!! and the guy still complains about that kid in swedish interviews... !!! goodness - he does not want to grow up... and of course Karma catches everyone...

The way he submits/surrenders himself to the sport is so touching really...

Soderling was the first player ever to beat Nadal at Roland Garros (2009) and remains to this day the only player besides Đoković who was able to do that. He was without a doubt top 10 player and would have competed for GS titles (I personally think he would have at least won 1 GS), but unfortunately he was diagnosed with mononucleosis in 2011 and that effectively ended his career. In the past few years, he was very honest about his mental health problems he was having in combination with his physical illness. Anxiety and panic attacks were the result of the pressure you have to handle being a professional athlete at that level and Soderling explained nobody teaches you how to take care of yourself mentally which is equally as important as taking care of your body. I hope Federer at least bought him a yacht or something as a sign of gratitude, without that 2009 win against Rafa, Roger would not have that one French Open title that he has in his career

I watched the whole video, but I don't see what Soderling did to become an enemy. Most of the match was tennis as usual. A few more rain delays than normal, but that's about it.
