Hello. Just wanted to say that I've been watching your videos for a while now and they are very helpful. Especially considering that there are not so many high-quality videos on CZcams regarding this editor. Personally, I prefer to tinker with the interface myself, rather than mechanically follow the videos, so as not to degrade in development. But sometimes some things lead to a dead end. And your videos are easier to watch than to read manuals. Also currently trying out the Olive editor at the same time. And I must say it is extremely fast in everything. Something tells me that this is simply due to the fact that it is still at the development stage and has not yet acquired various functions that burden the program code and is not as perfect as Kdenlive or Hitfilm pro.
Do you have suggestions for using proxy's with image sequences? I'm not sure if my hardware is not up to snuff, but my image sequences (a timelapse) are quite slow to even try to play in the clip monitor. When I create a proxy, it substitutes the entire image sequence with a .mov file but it doesn't show the Proxy P, nor the check mark in the proxy clip when I right click on the image sequence in my project bin. Once I close and reopen my project the proxy is gone and it can't find the source image sequence again.
It seems that Kdenlive can only do the basics. I don't see any advanced VFX videos showcasing Kdenlive's abilities. Can it do motion tracking? Green screen? Is anyone using it for things that require compositing? It doesn't seem so.
I haven't tested this with the M1 but I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. Give it a try and let us know if it works. Otherwise, I think the default ProRes setting should work on the M1.
For the blur, I used the Box Blur Effect. For the typewriter effect, there is a checkbox for typewriter effect when you add a title (text). Voiceover recording is done using OBS.
What are your favourite custom proxy profiles?
thank you for this tips it will be helpful for my commercial projects.
Thanks, helpful as usual. You put out good videos, keep them coming please. Consider making a Udemy course on Kdenlive.

Hi, is the Custom Prores Proxy Profile you have provided suitable for the Mac M1?

I tried it and it functions properly. I appreciate your reply. @@victorianodejesus
How do you create the blurred background freeze of the video with typwriter text and voice over?
For the blur, I used the Box Blur Effect.
For the typewriter effect, there is a checkbox for typewriter effect when you add a title (text).
Voiceover recording is done using OBS.
Hi, does it render proxies of composited output clips as well (e.g. wipes and green screen) or just the plain input clips?
The final render will be the full quality of your clips. You can also render only proxies for review purposes.
@victorianodejesus I found the Render Preview function which is what I wanted but it gives errors. So, I'll follow that up
can you help me idk how to ubscure
