Because opening a bag of chips with my 9mm would probably gather some unwanted attention.
AHAHAHHA
Use a silencer 😅.
This almost turned into food network
My dad told me that a knife was man’s first tool.it’s not just a weapon. He carried a knife every single day. I carry a knife every single day. I can’t imagine not having one.
Rock was first tool...
@@EroticOnion23 yup
@@EroticOnion23And we all know what throws rocks at murderous speed. A gun. So carry a gun, not a knife.
@@Xannyphantom905most people don't carry knives for protection, it's a tool like the guy just said. nd if u carry a gun, u should carry a knife as well.
@@EroticOnion23and they made knives with some
This vid doubles as a knife safety "Don't do this" training video. 😂😂
I am a sound guy and sometimes I have to work with speakers that have knobs broken off. I’ve found that digging my blade into the broken-off volume knob is an easy way to precisely work the damaged controls.
Getting into that broken pot, prying off the grill to the speaker cabinet, pushing dip switches inside a rack, stripping wire, cutting gaff, zipties, tie line and maybe some rope, and that's just load in stuff.
I use rope at gigs to tie stuff down. Nothing more annoying than using a multi tool to cut lol.
It's easier to have them repaired
Just great. Now the wife wants to know why I need more than 50 knives. Thanks Bladehq.
You too huh?
You actually made me LOL. Thanks BrianK70! 🤣
Next stop 100 😁✌🏻
I only have about 20 and my wife wonders the same thing!😂
not mine, she wonders why i'm not sharing my 50 with her!
Bonus reasons I carry a Knife: shorten my son's drink straw at restaurants, opening the boxes his toys come in and cutting the plastic straps, removing clothing tags, breaking down cardboard boxes so they all fit in the recycle.
+1 shortening drink straws. Only parents know
I thought I was the only one who shortened my drink straw😂 I use the Swiss Army scissors for that tho.
Reasons why you should carry a knife, abridged version: Things need cutting or stabbing, a knife is the best tool for that.
Reason 19: "you can pull it out of your pocket" 😅😅😅
That's just genial! Never thought of it. Must try. :)
Haha food prep can't be 50 reasons alone!
I used to be a cook and used my modded Mora Eldris with firesteel to light my kitchen at work. I don't smoke and every lighter I brought was stolen from my collegues. No one dares to light a cigarette with a Mora knife. Great success!
I’ll be honest I just use em to cut cardboard, open packages, open bags……and that’s about it 90% of the time
There's always some pitiful wannabe thug who carries one with them everywhere
the guy that keep saying don't cut yourself got me in tears lol
i use my 940 frequently as a door stopper (if ur unsure if you can go back or the door locks) haha but also for emergencies.. a cutting tool can be so helpful.
I just bought one and I can see why be a good idea for everything you said and more
I saw a quote from the mayor of London where he stated that “no one has a legitimate reason to carry a knife all of the time” or words to that effect right before he banned pointy ones. His statement makes it glaringly obvious that he has never done a days work in his life. That or he is lying and doesn’t really believe what he is saying.
Made me think about how I actually miss mine constantly if I don’t have one with me. I whip out my knife several times each day for a sundry of reason and none of them have ever been to harm another for over half a century. I have even been guilty of turning around and going back home to get my knife if I had slipped out the door without it. I do have a truck knife that stays there all of the time but it’s not practical to carry.
There will always be some mongrel who plans to use them on people
It's not an inconvenience and if nothing else there are emergency situations that it can come in handy. It's one of those things, I don't use mine everyday but when you need it you're really glad you have it!
Swiss Army Knife and Benchmade Mini Adamas, or Griptilian.
I use mine to break the plastic on the bottles which sometimes is aggressive to open with your hand. I open bags with them, cut boxes, take the labels off clothing, cut cable... Just the fact you carry a knife is so reassuring that there won't be a task throughout the day that you can't take care of 💪
Absolutely awesome
I think George knew he did the illegal thing using gas and a ferro rod. (Nervous laughter) love you George 😂
I thoroughly enjoyed your video, well done 👍 😂
Thanks for watching! We appreciate it! 👍
This is one of my favorite videos
I used a Kukri style machete to remove a dead bush in my yard last year. Was a lot more fun then using a hacksaw and pruners!
Is this the video I share with all my co-workers why to carry a knife? Yes...in the kitchen? Where most people have knives already. First 20 were givens. Haha
I used my knife to sharpen a pencil before an exam
That was badass
Loved it George! I too cut my sandwiches into triangles with my CRKT catch all
i got in trouble in my previous job for meal prep with crkt xD m16sf
Sometimes you don't find the situation, the situation finds you
That was awesome
1:47 #12 was a prime opportunity to use the Civivi Qubit.
The main reason I use mine is due to the 1982 Chicago Tylenol poisonings. That's when everything started needing a tool to get out of of the packaging.
Oh man George, after seeing u eat that Aloe, my 3 boys 7,5 and 4 yrs old wanted to eat an Aloe leaf. So we got one and filleted it with a buck 119 special - they all spit it out 😂😂
Dude! You don't eat aloe vera! 😂😂
I just carry a Leatherman type tool and I also have a pliers or a scissors on my mini
Go for multitools - and make it 500 🤣
You can use the cold steel Espada xl to take a splitter out of your foot standing up. 😢
I'll bet your dad can't give us 50 reasons NOT to carry a pocketknife😅👍
TSA, giving a hug, not dropping it on the floor, not worrying about losing it, not worrying about breaking it, not spending the money...
Yeah ok, not 50 things.
It just seems as though those who enjoy carrying them mainly do so out of some kind of insecurity and/or peer pressure and make up excuses to have them
Unless you work or live in out of the way places, they have no use outside of the home
But, I shouldn't expect much from Americans who think going to the local corner shop warrants carrying an anti-tank gin
You're all married to those chunks of steel and value your own lives as lesser than your precious guns considering your content with school shootings
"To protect the constitution l," is the tiresome refrain you all use like a stuck record
Don't bother responding with holier-than-thou remarks and tedious, arrogant quips because I couldn't care less
I've heard them all
This was incredible
Thank You! 😁
Best vid in a min 😂😂
I would carry a knife I just haven’t been able to find one I like and if I do find one, I like it’s usually too expensive. I’m looking for a fixed blade can’t find one because the ones that look like the one I would be willing to carry in small enough or too expensive, unless someone can help me out with a fixed blade
Pretty sure you missed some really important ones but that was fun either way lol
We decided to name 50 & let the comments come up with the rest! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Now I'm hungry!
Youd be surprised how often it comes in handy if youve never carried one regularly
I’m a mechanic and carry a para 3 and daily use it send this to whoever thinks knives are just weapons
Right? I have a Bowie (Mossy Oak) and often use is to slice potatoes or onions. Best use I’ve found for it, is cutting down brush/ weeds. A quick flick of the wrist cuts straight through a woody stalk that a smaller knife would have struggled with. Best $10 I’ve ever spent. (Got it on clearance)
The way he open that bottle was crisp
I live on a small farm and I use my ZT 0562TI for everything
By the time I realized this was a comedy bit I was having too much fun to feel irritated by the trick.
Always carry a knife with you, in case there's cheesecake or you need to stab someone in the throat.
Next time when police ask you
"why you carry knife"? You should show them this video...
Nah the way he took the seed from the avocado💀
there are two types of knives to carry. a tool, and a weapon. Good to have both on you, i do.
Well I think opening a box with desert eagle ain't manly enough so you probably do need a knife
You forgot to mention the occasional Emergency Cheesecake. Stranger things have happened.
😂😂😂😂😂 I just don't know what to say, put more though into it next time 😂😂😂😂😂
I edc a crtk ritual
After watching this video, I can confidently say that you may want to invest in a multitool before you end up like the Black Knight from Monty Python.
All very valid reasons
Um.... it's one of the first tools Humanity created and it's persisted to this day. There's a reason
1-48: food prep.
Fun video.
Did did that hurt the fish?
Cold steel espada xl for the win!
So…. Watched the first 20 reasons and I was like: I’m either in the kitchen for that so there’s no need to edc the knife because I’ve got kitchen knives. Or I can do it with my hands (open a bag of crisps), or why would anyone slice a popcicle to eat it? And with the internet credit I was like: outside the US, at least in the EU, put a picture like that online and risk getting a visit from the police to ask why you’d show of the knife and probably get it confiscated.
So again, why would I need a knife with me if I’m not in the kitchen? If anything, a multitool is much more useful. I can use it to fix my bike on the go, open random packages and bottles, fix random broken things around the house, at work, or anywhere really. What can a knife do other than slice things or get you arrested?
Bro made Ads for knives instead reasons.
The shotgunning comment was funniest being you guys are in Utah
F in the chat for the Chicken plush and Fish
F
In the uk everyone always carries knives
I carry my Spyderco Para 3 FRN every day.
Haha, I'd like to know over how much time this was made, because I'd have a belly ache at the end of that day.
I LIKE THEM! and CARRY 3 at ALL times.
👏👏👏
George, my good Sir, I think you omitted the most obvious use for a knife: slicing salami for breakfast. It is _impossible_ with a spoon. ;)
😂
Tamote killed it. DON'T CUT YOURSELF!
The majority of these reasons counted as 1, Food Prep.
A harder question might be 50 Reasons Why NOT to carry a knife? Other than the TSA and court, I can't really think of any?
General Patton gave us the reasons to always carry a knife...
He never carried a knife so the reasons must have been pretty weak.
@@davidgarrett5671 you have no idea what your talking about...he not only carried many a knife on his person but duel Colt 45 pistols as well
@@jared8530 I agree with you on the pistols but he did not carry a knife.
You can cut things with bullets... so I guess he carried at least 2 knives.@@jared8530
All good reasons. 😂
Dang dude gonna need a knife for every thing
When I'm at home I usually use a kitchen knife.
I really want t justify and EDC knife. Unfortunately this video didn’t quite convince me
You don't have to, but I find it very convenient, and I've thankfully never had an emergency need for it (but that's just cause I'm lucky).
Jr stoled the show😂😂😂
General Mattis said it best.
Great Utility to have in school
My mom askes all the time like mom you know
DON'T CUT YOURSELF! 😂
''Ho! Look a 940 !'' the only reason you need to carry a knife!
I'm disappointed. You didn't even mention fighting off evil ninjas or opening amazon packages.
I was thinking more along the lines of...SELF DEFENSE. Hack Chop and Stab to save myself and my families lives...Allegedly. But, that is a secondary option to my 2A on my hip. The knife is a back up...
Number 20 lol
Did he broke the tip on shell and used new knife to open it❓
It looks like it did, but no! It is doing just fine 👍
I was told by my wife it's dangerous to carry a knife everywhere, now i have a pocket knife she's asking me if i'm bringing it everywhere. 😂 Need a new knife too coz mine's a lil bit dull
Get a sharpener, it’s worth it. (Or, learn to sharpen with a whetstone, but that does take some learning and practice)
So far, I can only cut ropes.
This is the most shamelessly contrived knife video I have seen in a long time 😂
Cheese and rice.. I thought this was a serious video.. still watched it till the end 😕
My grandfather's rules, #1 carry a pocket knife, still have the one he gave me when I was 4. A pocket knife is the original multi tool. Used to cut food at restaurants that only give you a butter knife. And you can use it to create other tools.
Rule#1
always have blade & fire.
I dont like using my knife as a food tool as good as it is.. id want to wash the blade first and wont be around soap and water usually.. lol
CZcams make you change the beheaded chicken thumbnail?
You probably voided all of the warranty.
He used a (gasp) bottle opener to open a bottle!
It's okay. The opener was on a multi-tool.
