You know when me and Ben team up we are going to have a good time! With the Holidays in full swing we decided to hit the pavement and hand out some handy EDC tools from KNAFS. We were really interested in talking with people who do not EDC a pocket knife to see why they don't carry one regularly and if they would be interested in trying. We have some great conversations, get kicked out of a mall, and make some friends along the way. Hope you dig it!
âWhy doesnât your wife carry a pocket knife?â
âBecause she can kill people with her bare hands.â
Best answer ever.
me: dying laughing LOL
@@Unacknowledged182 she: killing you laughing LOL
Because this isnât the UK
@@jonahardayfio7746 because if it's in America they can still question you if you're carrying it visibly around I personally think it's not a good idea to carry a knife regardless of where you are as if you get drunk or anything like that where you can't concentrate well then carrying a knife could have consequences
@@lunalovegoodwitch if you're using alcohol or other drugs responsibly, you know to take it into account and not to try anything silly
or to be honest, not use drugs in quantities that make you impaired
the tool isn't the problem here
It great to see your generosity. No one has ever walked up to me and randomly given me anything, especially a pocket knife. Thanks for doing something nice for others.
Nothing better then putting the good out there! Everyone was awesome to talk to as well.
A guy once randomly gave me a bag of weed. Does that count?
@@frenstcht counts fsđ
@@frenstchtbecause you already had a pocket knife đđ»
@@hithere4719 It all makes sense now!
I only carry a knife for the off chance I run into Ben, Jamie, and Zac and I can show it off. Great content as always guys!
I carry one in case I need to lodge it into some summer sausage, cheese, and crackers.
I never carry one so I can get a free one next time, again..
To mug them? Why else would you walk up to someone with a knife? And why would anyone approach two dudes in the street who are carrying knives?
Kurt seems like a cool dude too lol
As the token knife enthusiast among my friends, family and coworkers, I appreciate the work you guys are doing.
These videos always make me smile đđ»
Got to spread the good word!
Knifes for life
Wait a good fundraiser - Knifes for lives - selling knifes for donation money
This is in some way spiritual and wholesome. A knife is a basic life tool that humans have been using every day for millenia, and giving a knife to someone is like proverbially "teaching a man to fish."
Such a simple video yet I found myself just smiling the whole time. The Joy these two get out of just interacting with people is great to see.
Though I hid it from my parents, I carried a pocket knife at an early age, usually a cheap British army surplus "clasp knife" with can/bottle opener and marlin spike or a Swiss Army Knife. In the early 1960s an essential tool for a latch key kid.
Isnât it amazing what a difference you can make in a personâs day with a simple act of charity? The smiles on their faces were awesome! Keep up the great work!
I think this is awesome for both knife community and non members of the knife community because it shows US not everyone had a knife and to be practical at the end of the day but itâs also brings non knife people into the knife world which is coolâŠ
Weâre trying to spread the good wordđ
It sucks being in the UK - It is literally impossible for me to ever bump into you guys, and you're super cool and responsible for my knife habit. My last buy was the Milwaukee 6 in 1, tool you recommended. Keep up the great work chaps.
oi, yew god a loysense fuh thos?
Mate, don't go walking around with shanks around the uk. Old Bill catches you with a butter knife in ya pocket and you got yourself a 500 quid fine.
@@Kobanyai_enjoyer Nothing wrong with a UK legal pocket knife in the correct circumstances in the UK. I carry one a lot. I just wish there were nice people handing free ones out like they were, that's all.
Knives are a very touchy subjects there but hey you can still carry a traditional slip joint knife, worked for years, still works for the years to come
@@karvast5726 can you carry a Swiss Army knife? Or a multi tool?
Love pocket knives. I remember finding my first pocket knife in the dirt! It was a fishing pocket knife that had been lost and was rusted and dirty. My Dad and I restored it as a project together - and I've had it ever since. The pocket knife is a useful, basic tool that comes in handy. Nice to see how it has evolved.
I agree. I carry a Victorinox Swiss Army knife and I've had many instances where I needed scissors, or a knife, or a phillips screwdriver etc. Very handy tool.
My biggest fear is being stopped by these two and not having my pocket knife in my pocket haha. Donât leave the house without mine. Great vid guys
That's when you take the opportunity and say "oh uh no sir I dont have one, yes I'll take that free one!"
And what pocket knife do you carry?
or carrying a el cheapo gas station knife.
Thatâs awesome to see you all out talking to people and giving Benâs awesome knafs stuff away. Thanks for always staying positive Zac, Jamie and Ben. Great video guys!!!
Thanks for tuning in!
These vids are awesome! Love the reactions you get from folks and itâs a wonderful way to promote the positive aspects of carrying & owning knives.
Lots of people donât realize how handy these little tools aređ
What a neat thing to do! :D
I'm from the SOUTH-south United States and was raised to always carry a pocketknife.
And it's crazy to think how different of a world we live in now: At one time (at least in the south), school kids had not only pocketknives but would roll into the parking lot with a rear-window gunrack, all decked out. It was never seen as scary, though, because it was a very different time then. (Mental health being what it is TODAY... yes, that would have been alarming.)
Thanks for spreading the use of a pocket knife as a "tool" not a weapon! The majority of people think negatively about a knife other than a kitchen knife! It's a handy tool for many uses as is a hammer axe saw ...etc. Great job giving them away for free! đ€đ
This is what humanity is all about. What a wonderful video guys! Thanks for this kind of content you two have brought joy in awesome way. Merry Christmas to you men.
Zac - you and Ben are so fantastic together (as is Jamie behind the camera). I really love your videos. They are always so fun and upbeat!!
The knife evangelists! Awesome generosity and fun to watch. Keep up the good work!
So cool of you guys to make peoples day. Never have i ever been approached like that and it makes me smile watching others receive.
Definitely feels great great givingđ€
You two are just amazing! Love everything yâall do!
Thanks so much!
Wait...everyone doesn't always carry a knife...really?
Yes ,there are people out there that dont carry a knife.
And their lifes are miserable and shallow.
đ€Łđ€Ł
Well that just ain't right
I didnât start carrying a knife until this yearâŠ.Itâs a decent knife for me right now. I believe itâs the Wesn Allman in titanium đđ»Iâm looking into the Benchmade bugout as my next knife
IÂŽm not allowed to here in Sweden. It sucks, but I do have a small multitool with a small blade on if needed. ;-)
Nice to watch a video that makes you smile in a wholesome way
Ben you are a great guy and very generous I have already picked up a Lander but if I hadnât I would get one just to support you thank you for all you do in the community
You guys are the BEST! I know you made this channel for pretty much all your adventures, crafts and outdoor stuff, but you and Ben should start a new one together and keep doin this stuff, I mean I bet most of us here started into this (knives n EDC stuff) by watching your good ol days at BHQ. That'd really be AWESOME. All the best to you and Ben!!
From a 75yr old Vietnam veteran that ALWAYS carriers a pocketknife, (plus sump Um a little stronger), I enjoyed this video.
I love seeing you guys interact with people like this. Definitely keep it going!
That was a great video and a super awesome thing for you guys to do. Lots of fun and positive energy. Knafs is Ben's company... I will definitely have to keep it in mind for future purchases.
I love Zac and Ben. So happy you guys are making videos together again.
Itâs a great excuse to do wierd stuff together.đ
@@zacinthewild never stop the collabs and the "in the wild" stuff!! You're becoming the heart of the knife community!
Why do I never get to run into someone that asks if I carry a pocket knife. One day it will happen and I will be prepared lol
From the guy who carries as much as Batman on his belt.
I love it when Zac, Ben, and Jamie are together, just like the good old days đ. Love the channel Zac, and my next knife will definitely be the Lander, love everything Ben has been doing over at Knafs đȘđŸ.
You guys are freaking awesome!!!! Ive been giving pocket knives to my sons friends and other people I meet along the path of life. I have had a few of them comment years later how they can not live without them now.
The only time I never have a knife on me is when Iâm in the shower, or when Iâm sleeping. Currently contemplating which pocket knife to take to my company Christmas party tonight.
Hard deduction! Let me know what you land onđ€

I genuinely love how much you guys love pocket knives. It's what I have loved since your days of blade hq. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels

I love when you do the "what kind of knife do you carry" videos. My absolute favorite. And Ben's Lander is for sure on my want list. A knife thats customizable is a great idea!
Ben can you go one step further and make a knife that's modular. Some days I want white scales white blade. Some days I want gray ti scales black blade and blue hardware. Just a thought.
Great video Zak. Please keep doing the "what's in your pocket knife" videos.
Ben please send me a lander and a poster to Ohio.
Thanks in advance gentlemen.
Daniel
Bro this is literally illegal in many countries. Insane how basic things like this are so restricted outside of the US. Love this country
Love seeing you both doing these videos and love the unique topic....checking in with the general public. Nice job!
Amazing to be walking around gifting good knives to people. I just today gifted a vintage postmanâs whistle to my postman. He was pleased as punch with it!đđŹđ§
I'm glad that you didn't show anyone with a negative vibe towards pocket knives.
This video was all smiles and giggles.
Thank-you.
You guys always make my day! Thanks for todayâs smile.

Awesome vid! Loved the interaction you guys had with people. Never heard of you or KNAFS, but you just got a subscriber and Ben got a customer.
This video has the best vibes! Very genuine guys and great energy!
You guys are great ambassadors for the knife community. I cannot thank you enough for being such great representatives of our community. Thank you.
Great video again, thanks for bringing our community closer and sharing good vibes/knowledge with everyone!
I have always carried a pocket knife since my dad gave me a TL 29 when I was a kid. I eventually carried a three-bladed knife. But I grew tired of the bulky feel I always had in my pocket. So late in life I grew to like slim and thin knives with a thumb stud. You mentioned opening boxes. I worked in auto parts for 17 years. I always used my big bladed knife to slice open boxes. One day I sliced open a big box and inside was a folded vinyl covered pad for the back of a station wagon. My knife slit the pad the full length of one fold. After that I found a tiny box cutter that fit on a key chain. With that I could just cut the tape on a box, and never ever sliced what was in a box again.
This is awesome.. I wish I could be a part of something like this. Ben is such a cool dude and this whole project has just been kick ass man! Got my all black lander in my pocket and Iâve been on the hunt for some scales.
As always, appreciate you guys - have a great Holiday !
Before I retired, I had a friend that would need a knife about once a week or so. He'd look at me and ask, "You have a knife?" I'd give him a "raised eyebrow" look, with a silent "Really?" because he KNEW that I always have three knives on me. A Victorinox Tinker, a Joe Pardue Utilitac II, (2), and a Leatherman.
I've carried a pocket knife since I was about 10 years old and my parents gave me a Boy Scout knife for Christmas.
It absolutely astounds me that there are people who DON'T carry a pocket knife.
You two have just such an amazing vibe! I love it
This was so amazing, love, appreciation for community, and preparedness. â€
Thanks for another great video. Very nice gestures. I'm sure you made a bunch of people's days.
I love that you guys do this!!!!
Another great video with you two. In life if someone I know says "I need a knife", I will give them one that I think will fit their needs. I love when they actually use them and it's even better when they become knife enthusiasts. It would be awesome if you could track some of these people down in a month to check in.
Omg this video is fun to watch!! You guys got to do more like this! Great to see Ben! I love my lander!
Fun episode, I love watching these man on the street videos. I guess us knife enthusiasts are rare, we don't come up that often.
It's good to see two knife guys I use to watch alot, and learn from, out doing what they like
Love it! You guys are awesome. Great video.
Great video popped up and after watching, had to subscribe. Your generosity was very nice to see. Thank you!
Great that knives are not criminalised where you live. I wish it was like that everywhere.
Hey Zac & Ben and Team. Have a great Christmas & safe New Year. Greetings from Australia.
Omg this is a great idea. This was so much fun! Those last three people...I couldn't stop smiling lol.
Thatâs awesome what you guys are doing! Really a great example of rehabilitating the often stigmatised reputation of the knife carrying community! The vast, vast majority of people carry knives as handy everyday tools not as weapons - nothing to be afraid of â€
"knife carrying community". I know what you mean, but it saddens me. I'm old enough to remember when men simply carried pocket knives--you had one from the moment you put pants on in the morning. Not because it was "manly", but because a knife is a tool (humanity's first manufactured tool) and grownups were expected to be able to do things.
@@americanmade6996 yep itâs very unfortunate that we constantly have to explain why we would possibly want to carry a knife as tho weâre psychopaths who want to stab people. Because theyâre incredibly useful tools!
This was awesome to watch. Thanks for spreading cheer in these crappy times đ
Good stuff guys, putting smiles on peopleâs faces.
Always great to see your videos.
Man this was a fun video to watch! How awesome would it be to run into you guys out in the wild and just chat knives! What a dream! Thanks for sharing.
You guys did it again! Thanks
Very cool. Love to see these videos.
Gotta love this two
Just awesome guys đ
I absolutely love these types of videos. Well done boys.
Best explanation I've heard: Having a knife is like having a truck. It's perfectly possible to go through life without one, but about once a week someone will need to borrow it.
Awesome video. Nice to see you two making people happy. More like them please. :)
Weâve got something fun planned for January!
Absolutely LOVED this video! Love watching yâall!
We had a blast too!
Canât get enough of yâallâs content! Great stuff.
Love you guys..... just got the lander with the mountain scales for my 15 year old daughter for Christmas, and the tool burrito and the iFix driver for me

My edc knife is a tiny fixed blade I made last year. 3 finger grip with a 2 inch blade. great for opening boxes and shipping bags.
Itâs so cool to see you and Ben back together.
Just an absolute legendary video and idea.
Man guys that's awesome to give and educate on pocket knives..now I think I need to try one of your knives seening the size in hand looks like it fits the needs of a secondary edc..
