  • Here is an awesome light show effect that you can do at home with a laser pointer.
    I used line lenses that I got from eBay for a couple bucks to do this effect.
    Check out laserpointerforums.com to learn more about laser pointers, lasers, and laser pointer companies! I have been a member there for 8 years, and have received a bunch of help from the knowledgeable members there!

    I have found that when you have a fire buring outdoors, and you take a mid-high power green laser and wave it back and forth really fast (to get the beam effect) through the smoke, you get this same effect but it changes about 10X faster.

    I️ keep coming back to this since like late2015 Where can i get this? I know on eBay but ehh I️ don’t really trust eBay and idk anything about lasers and the batteries and housing for them i really want to get a strong blue laser with this lens on it but not to strong were it can burn just strong enough to light up really well in the dark with the fog like you did. If you can please help me with links to them that would be great! also i think you should try to make a barcode scanner laser stronger and since it vibrates it’ll make a cool effect maybe?

    What power are lasers used in this video, and what max power I could use and still be safe looking at it? I know everything above 5mW needs protection, but I'd put the laser on the floor and never move it so only reflection I'd get would be from that fog/smoke.

    • @poormanslimo

      I did that, just wasn't useful. Take a red a blue and a green, put em close, take a picture, crack open the file with matlab, separate the RGB image planes, then look for intensity differences. Analyze away.

    • @Wildlink123
      @Wildlink123 Před 9 lety

      Typically a minute or less, varying because of how the heat sync's are configured. But typically if you want to keep the laser for long periods of time, flash them around 30 seconds max. Again, depends.

    • @Wildlink123
      @Wildlink123 Před 8 lety +1

      +gaming onsity Well, as in my old post, depends on how well the laser is heat synced. If it doesn't run too hot, you can burn for a minute, then turn it off for a good 10 seconds maybe? But with one watt, you could keep it going for 1 to 2 mins consecutively.
