I remember when it was the first day of 7th(?) grade for me and I started to bring bento for lunch. (Because the school lunches in the US, or at least where I'm from, are terrible.) When I opened my bento box and started eating rice or something of the sort, people just stared at me so strangely, eyeing down my bento... Yeah, people think I'm strange but, I'd rather eat bento than frozen grilled cheese sanwiches, brown apple slices, and frozen milk.

I bring a bento too (I’m in 7th actually lol 😂 ) and always share with some friends because, it’s definitely way better than the school lunch, my mom makes mine. (≧∀≦)

I never got any weird looks growing up. If anything, people were always jealous because they had dry cafeteria pizza and milk.

thank you for always including at least one vegetarian/vegan recipe! im vegetarian so it gets tiring to look up recipes and they're always made with some kind of meat
If you eat eggs you can make thin omelets with spinach rolled in, rice balls with rice seasoning, potato salad, and apple slices cut like rabbits. You can also bring a thermos with miso/veggie broth and put noodles and stuff in your bento, along with strawberry roses. I’d say to just try to look at bento recepies, and try to imagine a replacement for the meat

Basically what you can just ask your parents to buy frozen vegetables and meat or fish. So what i do now is basically i have a base like rice,pasta (or ramen in your case) and i just add vegetables and then i add protein that can be an egg, frozen fish...

In Vietnam, that's okay to bring fish sauce but you have to make sure you won't spill it
