The "UMAI" made me laugh so hard and I directly had the reference 🔥 That dessert seemed really fresh and... really UMAI

I love how he compliments your food. It’s honestly so adorable.
I love that you made cuts to the pork loin before cooking. Done so nonchalantly, but that is an expert-level trick to not have them curl up when cooked in a pan. Also, used to work in a Japanese restaurant, and we also poked holes into shishito peppers before pan roasting them. For all the humility you express, and that we love, in your videos. You really are a lot more boss than one might seem. I respect that. Imamu = expert level.
It's like a love letter to your husband every time 🙂💕

I absolutely looove everything you make, I'm latina and our diet mostly consists of rice alongside meat and side dishes, I have a deep love of asian food and cuisine and have an isanse collection of asian spices and seasonings so I cook a lot of these types of food for both my younger sister and me for our school/univeristy lunches, she LOOOOVES these. I've also love how much more variety I get from veggies and proteins with these recipes!
Your sister is very fortunate to have you cook for her. I've always taken my mother's cooking for granted and now that I moved out to another city to attend college I miss it soooo much ;-;
I clicked this video out of pure curiosity and ended up watching the whole thing from beginning to end....something about watching food (especially good foods like this!) being cooked is so enthralling. Your husband is one of the luckiest men in the world, excellent content ♥
Not lucky- they're a partnership. He works hard for his family and is a good provider.

I have started cooking with shishito peppers more frequently after watching your videos! I love them. I like a mild spicy, and they are perfect. I even made "jalapeno poppers" but with shishito peppers instead and they were amazing!
oooo that sounds so yummy! i love shishito peppers

@@atsukorichards1675 yeah but wouldn't you be able to smell how hot it was if it's something you're really worried about? I don't eat peppers so idk 😅
Ah this video made me realise how hard my mother works. Like preparing food everyday for us while still managing her professional life (medical field since a year n half, she was in educational stuff earlier for 9 years), taking care of dad, me and my younger sibling it must be so hectic. She leaves early morning, returns by twilight. Never takes a day off even when she's sick. Fulfills our wishes and needs. Keeps our family together. It's been 20 years of her marriage. I love her. Parents are such amazing creatures, they sacrifice everything for their kids. I'm so grateful to my mom and dad. They deserve all the love and care in the world. I want to give them so much happiness. I will. Definitely.
Edit: at this point I'm sick of ppl in the replies, like you just can't appreciate your family member without your whole family being judged and being made stupid assumptions of.
My parents have divided the household chores since years. While my mom does the cooking, dad does laundry, cleaning, helping my sibling with studies and other stuff to help Mom out. They do the whatever they personally find more suitable and look out for each other. They're both equally hardworking and loving. It's not my problem that you find this very typical or smth. In our culture, the entire family helps each other in whatever ways they can.
Pls just scroll away if you don't like my comment, no need to drop in negative stuff.💀For Pete's sake stop assuming things and then jumping onto conclusions of your liking, using whatever fits your narrative.

Any spouse who works would be proudly be showing the bento they have when it's like this.
"Hey guys, check out my wife's bento!"
I'm the same with my girlfriend whenever she makes something when I do my duties at the hospital. It really lifts my mood whenever I get to the office to eat lunch and dinner and to comeback home in the morning to eat her meals.
For me, life could not get better.
After watching this video I started to think about my own life. What a wonderful family they have created. On the other hand I'm thinking that I will never get a good relationship. As a giver person in the relationships it sounds like it is really hard to bound with someone and equally give everything for your love.
With everything going on in the world right now, your videos help me to calm down and ease my anxiety. Thank you, Imamu!
Watching her video and seeing how wholesome her family is feels very healing ☺️
i remember when my mum pack me food everyday when i was in school but now im in college and livin far from home, eating mess and hostel foods i really miss those times…this video brought me memories thnku so much 🥹❤️
Learn to make the same she did!
I am so jelly, I wanna eat good like this, but stuff here in America can be so expensive to eat good like this 😭
I live in America too. Although I live in urban California, so the cost of living is notoriously high, but many things are cheaper than in other regions due to supply. There are ways make food cheap (a lot of her dishes are actually using inexpensive ingredients in tasty/higher labor ways). I would say the biggest issue is time. She doesn’t specify, but it SEEMS like she is a SAHM, which is a luxury here, and it’s hard to put in this much work/cook 3 meals a day when you work a full time job for low pay.
I’m currently a homemaker in the U.S., so I have the time to research grocery stores, go out to buy sale items on sale days, research creative recipes for low cost ingredients, and cook and clean. It’s possible in America, but it might depend on your location.
If you do the cooking, up to 4 peoples worth of food can be made almost as easliy as 1 persons, so if you snag a couple friends or roommates, I bet you could offer to handle the cooking if they handle the cost, or you can split cost equally between yall and take turns doing the cooking and shopping.
Katsudon is my favorite Japanese dish! It's one of the few proper meals I know how to cook because I didn't want to have to spend money on takeout whenever I'm in the mood to eat it. Even my family enjoys it now! So I got super excited when I saw the title lmao!!
The way he said “UMAI” like Rengoku from Demon Slayer made my heart smile! Your kiddo is soooo cute too and she reminds me a lot of my daughter!
i hope that i have the energy to make something like this for my lunches someday. i can't believe you do this every day, i can't manage to even make a sandwich-in-a-box to take with me lol
Thank you for your videos!! Felt so inspired I created a whole Japanese feast for my family tonight. I made panko crusted trout with tartar sauce, mushroom oysters wrapped in pork belly, seasoned rice, shishitos, and an amazing dashi kombu chowder with sweet potatoes and mushrooms and bacon. Thank you for your videos!! I’m feeling so inspired to make more Japanese food.
"My whole Katsudon life is flashing now" 😂 Very cute too.
Spaghetti doesn’t always need to be Italian, so long as it tastes good!
😡
Lol Asians invented noodles first anyway. And Italians didn’t even start cooking with tomatoes until they came over from the Americas in the 1600s. Food is an amalgamation that doesn’t always follow cultural lines or country boundaries.
Exactly. I'm Italian but the way she makes them looks delicious. Italians do gatekeep a lot which is a shame. We all should allow to explore different cultures (while being respectful) . You do you as long as it tastes good.
Agree! Maybe because I am Asian, I am personally prefer spaghetti with ketchup like this lady make better
Dessert pasta is underrated.
It's so beautiful to me, how you put so much love and effort into your family's meals. You inspire me!
the way that your husband and daughter were so excitedly waiting for dessert was so cute
I started livin on my own now. Can't wait to try some of your recipes
I got into watching your videos during our third lockdown last year and just watching you cook for your family has helped me manage stress better than a ton of other things I've tried. It's so calming and peaceful, and I love seeing all the yummy stuff you make. Thanks for sharing your recipes and a little bit of your life with us! 💖
As an Italian, that pennette salad rocks! In southern Italy pasta salad is a really common thing, especially in hot seasons. I'll make it for sure!
I recently found your channel and have been obsessed with your videos they’re so calming and really make my day. When I’m stressed out and need to relax this is where I come. This also got me cooking lunches for my wifebento now haha so she appreciates you very much as well!
As someone with Italian heritage, I would LOVE to try Japanese spaghetti!!! It looks so good! I'm also just a big fan of mushrooms and onion so... 😊😋
😋😋
I second this! It looks unique but balanced. As Long as the pasta is respected i am happy 😌
That omelet looked like a perfect fluffy pillow! It is interesting to see how recipes are adspted around the world! It never occurred to me to make a spaghetti sauce with ketchup! My mother made her own spaghetti sauce, bug I'm sure it was adapted to our tastes, just like yours is for you. No one in my family is Italian, or has even visited Italy, but we love spaghetti.
I Love Watching Your Videos From Cooking To Packing Lunch Boxes 😃 😊
Hi Imamu! I love watching you cook! It’s so relaxing and comforting. :) I think it’s amazing that you make so many fresh meals for your family. Your husband and daughter are lucky to have you for sure! Thank you for sharing it all looks delicious! 😋😍
We love to see a Rengoku fan and a wholesome week in the same video ^_^ Imamu, you are amazing!
My son and I have been using the statement "umai!" From Demon Slayer, when Rengoku declares how delicious the bento box is. Lol I imagine thats what ur referring to when u spoke about ur husband. ❤😊
You and your little family are so cute! Especially with your interactions with your husband and daughter. The commentary is lovely too.
I've never had a more enjoyable time on this site than watching this video and recreating my old memories. Your husband embodies me with his love of katsudon. I'm in love
Yay I finish a 12 hour night shift and get to unwind with Imamu and her adorable family:)
Hope you get lots of rest! 🤍
"I guess husbento survived somehow" hahahahahaha! Also, your daughter is soooooo cute learning how to use chopsticks :)
Your husband should be the happiest ppl in this world, having someone who cares about him this way👏
Thank you for taking care of your family with such love and care!
Your little family is so precious and your bentos are always so beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us! 💜
It's always a good day when Imamu uploads!! 🤩💖
Edit: I just finished watching the whole video. I hope baby-mamu's fully recovered from her cold! And husbento imitating Rengoku haha!!! Also don't worry Imamu, us Filipinos also use ketchup in spaghetti :P The Italians may disprove but I love ketchup spaghetti haha
watching this after working on homework late into the early morning is really comforting, thank you ❤️ I’m praying for you and your family! :)
So much love in this house. The effort and I’m sure appreciation here is next level 😊
I’ve been feeling really anxious lately with all the war and everything and this helped me calm down a little, you never disappoint thank you
Using the leftover potato salad to make croquettes is such a good idea! 😍
Wow, these look delicious! The dedication and love you put into your husband’s meals 🥰
I can feel the love through your husbentos, I feel inspired to try some of your recipes! Thank you ❤️
wow, I am super impressed by how you cook every day for your husband and daughter! Salute to you mann!!
the UMAI made me laugh a lot 😂 I’m glad husbento shows his appreciation for your cooking as much as Rengoku-san does
For me, the omelet was cooked perfectly! Too many times I've seen where the egg is burned or over-cooked. You have a lucky husband! Great job!
I came to watch this looking for recipes and ideas but I can not skip over how freaking cute this is! You are such an amazing wife to your husband and this really warms my heart!
Find yourself a partner that will unashamedly yell "UMAI!" when eating your tasty creations. This is the perfect plan.
The first full bento I ever assembled had salted salmon, tamagoyaki, and spinach salad, so that one gives me warm fuzzies. 🥰 Also, there’s no coffee in Starbucks’ matcha latte. You could ask them to add a shot if you really wanted to, but I can’t imagine it would taste very good.
Coffee shops around here have something called a "military" latte, which is both matcha and coffee. It's good!
Your husband is a lucky man! I hope he appreciates these gorgeous bento box lunches you make. I don’t know how you come up with the inspiration for new husbentos! Love your daughter too!
PFFFFT to hear your husband try saying "TASTY!" like "UMAI" was great. Your family is wonderful
Imamu and her husband are both so cute. ❤️
I’m learning Japanese on Duolingo and I love hearing the tiny snippets of conversation
Watching those videos improve my mental health and I can't explain why lol
These just make me really hungry at 3am
Watching the omelette being made, has a ASMR quality to it. Very relaxing.
For me, spaghetti, rice and croquette each can act as the main dish. I am always surprised with the combo of ramen and rice when I watched Japanese food videos.
To be frank (honest), I really do enjoy your videos. The way you bring the dishes to life is just...well, it's perfect, and the family interactions are admittedly wholesome when they happen :)
Thank you for sharing how you make the dishes! I'm so bad at cooking and this gives me guidance and inspiration. Thank you again 😊❣️
Thank you so much for your videos! They have gotten me to cook regularly and my co-workers love the pay off of getting to have home-cooked food at the office. Your recipes are always fantastic!
I watch these videos to help me sleep, concentrate, listen to something peaceful in the background while I sew or paint, and also to help me improve my own bento-making. I was a little distracted while watching and when I heard the Rengoku impression I jumped in excitement haha! Your videos have been a great source of joy for months for me and I love to see the sweet content of your family too! Favorite channel ever!!!!😸
I have been practicing cooking Japanese food more often when I cook since I discovered you!
I can make good tamagoyaki now! And ai can roll it with chopsticks! So hard to do but very fun!
Thank you for being an inspiration!
This is so far beyond what I would actually do for a lunch, but it is incredibly admirable for "special day" goals.
I love how she includes her mistakes and things to avoid. Great video. Beautiful family 💕
Katsudon is love; Katsudon is life! I ate that almost daily when I was in Fukuoka 🤤
In the Eastern part of Germany there is a dish exactly like your spaghetti ketchup sausage recipe😁🍽 They just use macaroni rather than spaghetti and a different type of sausage... but other than that it's exactly the same🌟
i'm watching, not only for bento ideas, but also for lunch & dinner 😘 thanks a bunch, best wishes for you & your loved ones!
"Let's survive another week" with that happy face and chill music makes me feel so good! That made my morning ^-^
I love using ketchp and soy sauce for the sauce! It adds the perfect sweetness without being overpowering. My eomma (Korean for mom) uses both ketchup and marinara sauce to make pasta all the time. I tried it with just ketchup and soy sauce and kina like it better!
I couldn't tell if you did in this video, but when making Italian styles of pasta you want to salt the water you boil it in, and save about a cup of the water to finish the sauce in the pan. You're getting a head start on seasoning that way, and adding the starchy water to the sauce makes it seem creamier without using any dairy.
Oh, also you do not want to rinse the pasta after straining it. You want to keep the starch so the sauce sticks to the noodles better. 👍
Your husband is one lucky man and your such a great wife for all the effort you put into his bentos! 🍱
Wow, so many delicious meals. I am loving that rectangular pan and the little pot with the lid with a hole and a peg for lifting the lid. Just the right size for the ingredients. I am definitely trying some of these recipes, especially the delicious looking miso soup.
Good to see more Imamu, and your husband's impression of Rengoku was spot on!
I can't wait to be a stay home mom for a little and do this for brian. Thank you for being inspiring 🥺
I'm not sure how I got here, but this is one of the most wholesome things I've ever seen.
I cooked along with the katsudon tonight and it was so delicious. Every time I've tried to make these meals by following the imamu vids it's been a hit. So tasty!
The Friday bento looked like something from Food Wars! I love the rice layering, I was salivating through the entire thing
haha your husband is so cute yelling “UMAI” and then “TASTY” 😂😂😂it’s like my boy he’s always hungry so when he gets food he gets super excited

You're family is SOOO ADORABLE! I like watching you guys sit down and eat as a family! My children's friends stayed over and they liked that we sat at the dinner table to eat, no electronics allowed at the table! It surprised me that neither child's family did that!
