For how my week went, it has been very busy at work and everyone is tired, but the kids started school again. The oldest just started high school (high school here is 4 years, so same grade as last year of middle school in Japan). On the plus side, after a very long, hot, and dry summer, we're finally getting some much needed rain and slightly cooler weather, so everyone is grateful for that. Since happiness doubles when shared, I'll share something that made me happy this week. I am babysitting a friend's pets while he is away at college. They're very shy little geckos that often run away and hide when they see or hear me walking past them. Earlier this week though, one of them actually stayed out of his hide to eat even when I walked around him. He has gotten less shy and is becoming less afraid! I suppose that's the magic of tasty food!
