Change is inevitable and it seems things are always changing here in Angeles City, some people hate it some like it and some don't care. I'm impartial to the happenings that go on here, I report the openings and closing of local establishments like Envy's recent closing and the reopening of Level 3 bar. I try to keep my finger on the heartbeat of the city so people know what is the latest news, make sure and watch til the end so you don't miss out on all the updates.
This vlog is a compilation of Scraps of peoples places and happenings around AC here, I often put these together to showcase friends and information that never made it into the daily vlog.

Very disappointed that Envy closed as we always enjoyed their weekend steak club specials. But not once did a waitress bring the specials display whenever we asked for the menu. Am sure that many customers may have opted for the specials had they been aware of them.
Also, the lack of draught beer meant we did not use it as often as we would have wanted to. Their only option was Heineken, and that was not always available. There are only so many bottles of SM variants that one can drink in a lifetime!
Am looking forward to the Beer Garden opening later this month as hopefully they will have a good selection of draught beers.

Well Envy declared themselves bankrupt and they defaulted 3 months rental payments so the owners ABC hotel, took over the property. They will open but now under ABC HOTEL management. Hearing that owners son will take over.

Hate to say it , I dont see paradise doing same amount of business over in that location. I am no business man, but seems not many good business decisions being made . You would think Margarita station old site would be a place a nice beer garden could open but again probably want to much rent so guess they are happy sitting empty and the place rotting.

if walking street is changing to more family friendly than Paradise may be ahead of the game in spreading out

Shoutout to Adrian! Wonder who will take a chance on Envy, I assume sky high lease rent like old Margarita station. Some of these owners would rather their place sit empty than lower their lease, its sad

Have heard that Paradise rents way too high for walking street. Hopefully new premises will be cooler with split roof but agree the outside view not good! Plus drains smell sometimes on highway!

Sorry that Envy closed and Paradise is moving. Grabbing some food and watching the ladies walk by, I'm down with it. Watching the jeepneys on McArthur, not so much. Guess I'll have to find a new spot to watch the foot traffic from when I arrive in August. On the other hand, the news about Level 3 sounds good. Shout out to Adrian

I wonder if Walking Street and LK metro in Pattaya are going to have similar problems if the proposed worldwide tax is introduced on Foreigners living in Thailand... Maybe more foreigner expats in Thailand destined to visit Angeles city for 180 days a year in 2025 onwards?

I am the owner and partner of Paradise Sports Bar and the new Paradise Beer Garden. Yes unfortunately Paradise is closing down on Oct 24. and the whole place is getting knocked down and three floor building is coming up. The owner's are ABC HOTEL. Once we open the new place would invite you and give you a tour. It's going to be better and bigger Paradise 2.0 for sure. Take care

There are so many parallels in what Angeles City is experiencing to what Hawaii went through in the 70's and 80's where the Koreans eventually took over all the sleezy drinking places, thus renamed such establishments as "Korean Bars". Drink prices for Korean bar girls there escalated to $20/drink, even more now and business peaked all the way into early 2000's until harsh drunk driving laws and road blocks diminished business's.
Future doesn't look bright for Walking Street bar hoppers looking for the western experience. I can see hotels like Wild Orchid, Pacific Breeze, Scorebirds being next...

Closure of Envy really sucks. My alltime favorite place for breakfast and just chill out. Looks like Brian form 69bar will open new place in walking street.

They (Paradise Bar) must have been priced out of their current location. I don't think the new location will be popular at all: too close to the seediness behind Walking Street and Astro Park, particularly at night. I suppose when I roll into town on the Rabbit Bus, I'll go up to Papi's to get something to eat before checking in.
no their present spot wouldnt renew their lease because the building owner has renovations scheduled 👍
@@chubsDubC And after the renovations, won't there be an increase in the lease amount? I am sure that will happen also; so, basically, the current owner will be priced out: right? It is happening up and down Fields; Jeff the Barber just had to move for the same basic reason.

Man, a lot of changes going on. Things aren't going to even be the same when I touch down in February.

@@chubsDubC None of the changes will have a paralyzing effect. It'll just mean having to adapt. For instance, I expected to have some of my breakfasts at Envy. Obviously, that won't happen now.

yes we throw crazy phrases now and then and the middle finger joke is due to a security guard we saw with his middle finger being stuck in that position.. you can image the looks that guy receives from people when they see it😮😜
