Anne and I ran down the road from Angeles City to Bamban, a city about 20 minutes outside of town, we wanted to see Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes of Bamban. This park has 100+ step stairway that leads to a grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, people visit the place to pay homage to the Blessed Mother.
You can buy colored candles at the base of the stairway and light them once you reached the grotto, each color has a different meaning: love health good fortune hope spirit peace luck miracle etc. After that you can venture further up the hillside to the top where there is another 3 cross shrine and overlook with spectacular views of the countryside.
The climb is a tough one and will challenge most people but the views and sense of accomplishment are worth it.

yessir 1 down 3 to go
I’m always apprehensive going down because I have to go back up. But, sometimes going down is harder on the body going down lol
Fun video. Can't remember for sure but I think that area holds quite a few caves used during the war. Thanks for you guys sharing!
yes it does 👍 others have mentioned the caves, didnt see any tho 😢
Sorry the museum was closed- I had mentioned visiting it to you previously. The hills in the area around Bamban were fortified with tunnels by the Japanese during the war and the museum is leading efforts to try and locate and preserve them. They have a CZcams channel too. My whole Philippine family lives in Bamban and the surrounding area.
tunnel tours would be interesting 👍
we will get back to the museum, only 20 minutes away 😃 id like to see it
Bamban seems like a nice place
Thanks for my daily laugh and the second laugh when Ann wanted you to carry her😂. Much appericated the vlog as I now have this checked off my list.
So sad about the littering, but that seems to be the way of a large number of Filipino people. Even here in BGC when the kids or workers are done with their drink they just drop it if theres no one around🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
If u two ever visit BGC, I have a red roof😅
glad you got a chuckle, surprised me as well 😮😂
ive seen peeps litter in front of me, just drop as they go.. drives me crazy 😬
thank you for the offer i’ll keep an eye out for your roof 😂
We've done that climb, its a lot of stairs LOL
its a good challenge and a great reminder we’re not as young as we once were 😳😃
Try the incline at the manitou springs colorado. I love it.

❤❤❤👍👍👍
Didn't visit the famous pig 🐖🐷 farm in Bamban? Where Alice Guo was raised? 🤣🤣🤣
no pig farm tour 😢
Thats a hard pass for me good buddy. I give you much respect for taking on those stairs. The angle of them looked really intense. Also sounds like you did them in flip flops. More power to ya !
👍 sandals
thought about wearing shoes and socks but that would have been worse, my feet boil in these temps 🥵
its a good challenge 😬
I'll just wait until an escalator is put in before going up there. Views look great.
lol you may be waiting 😜
it wasnt too bad, as you saw i took many breaks 👍
Another PI contradiction - amazing shrine which shows the positive of the PI people yet some of the people can't manage to carry their own crap back down the hill.
Laughs in German
When I went there with my friends after we come back down we had breakfast at Helen's Canteen as we got there about 8am. Did you see the cave that the Japanese dug into the hill I think it was the third stop up on the main stairs around to the left. My friend would not go in as she was scared of GHOTS and snakes. Would I do it again NOT A CHANCE of going up past the woman asking for money, never saw her there on my visit
didnt see the cave, makes me want to go back 😃 i was surprised at all the canteens if we’d a known we’d of eaten there b4 or aft 👍
@@chubsDubC to see anything in the cave you need a good torch I only went in halfway as I couldn't see much without lighting
There were 6 of us that had food there at Helen's Canteen all six of us had food and drink and was less than half the price for I have paid for 3 in Angeles
Great video! What airline do recommend flying to the Philippines from the US?
