Only done Loi Katong once ,funny enough in Patong ,sadly the water was to choppy but the beach was packed .Bond guy seemed a nice bloke ..But most Thai people are lovely in my opinion .As always my mouth waters seeing the food stalls ..Thanks again on seeing parts of Thailand because of you and Paige iv'e yet to visit 👍

I love watching the food in every markets, the nice and friendly people of Thai and their practices of their own culture. I love that they preserve and practice it. I always say, I’d want to live in Thailand for a very long time maybe when my son can already be independent and I can take off already :D I love watching the road and your drive in the towns where I can see the big similarities of my own country seeing the coconut trees along the side and beaches. I truly understand how you always say you love Thailand and I don’t get irritated when you say that bec I know why you feel that about Thailand. Thank you for a wonderful video. When in Thailand I eat everything that starts with the word gaeng, yellow, red, green masaman, jungle ..... I even saw purple curry paste at the market in Phuket Town.
your a good driver. Why you think Phuket so bad. I drove everyday in Feburary this year high season & didnt find it difficult. Patong Hill from Kamala is crazy steep & twisty. I think Huahin Soi 88 beginning at the circles craziest place to drive in thailand. Hanoi & HCM vietnam is the worst place to drive in the world that I've seen. Safe travels.
Vietnam is also for me the worst experience for driving. But the roads and driving and Phuket were based on my opinion in my own experience of driving through Out Thailand. Bangkok is definitely a hundred times worse

On the coast from you is a place called Khanom next to it is Naiplao beach very nice little bay and some resorts it is quite a nice area also further south is Sichon very nice quite coastline

Even staying for a few months only cooked once or twice due to heavy rain but other times easier to buy fast local food at the markets, With the huge variety very rare to have the samething over and over again unless you like it.
Such a nice video! I always watch your stuff but only commented once before this. I learn so much, especially regarding southern Thailand. Surat Thani is now on my list. I'll be retired to Thailand in 16 months. I loved the map you drew for that moron who said Phuket wasn't an island. I also have to say, and please don't take this the wrong way, that slice of pizza was one of the most hideous things I've ever seen in my life! Those Thai hot dogs make me nuts. They serve them as breakfast sausages in all of the hotels: I opt for the bacon. Be well, and thank you so much for the fun and upbeat videos.

It is amazing what can be made from a barrel of oil, preservatives and artificial flavorings. It probably is technically Vegan, therefore good for you. That is your story and you are sticking with it.

Hey Chuck n Paige.. love this food market bc i can eat . Lots of food markets i go to i can not eat there , Swannaphum n Roi Et. I like my chicken like Kfc not cut into pieces n taking out the pieces of chicken bones. Matter of fact , im going to go get some spicy wings at Kfc now . Really finger licking good. Lol
That was brave trying packaged pizza anywhere in Asia, no way I would eat that and I’ll eat grilled rat and certain grubs. Thanks for the ride along, beautiful scenery and people. Many blessings to you, Paige and family🙏

Loi Kratong is a religious ceremony to worship the Buddha Footprint at the river bank on the night of his enlightenment, so it is on the full moon night of the 8th month of Thai calendar which a new year begins in April. In addition, it is a worship and being thankful for the Goddess of the river according to Brahman tradition. Chiang Mai has the best of the Loi Kratong festival with a night floating parade in my opinion. Also, we believe to float away all the bad luck, misfortune etc..away.

Thanks for watching, however I enjoy a little sarcasm back at the misfits. I might not be a smart man, but to me any land that is surrounded by water is an island. How you get there, boat, fairy, bridge, slingshot, plane, drone, is irrelevant. The bridge is in relation that you cannot drive through the water on this particular Island. ;) Cheers.

Two things we don't see anymore in Thai market, miam kham and cane sugar juice that they are selling in a big bamboo with ice and some time you can even get khao lam.
Thailand is great but you still need to be careful. It’s not all smiles.

One thing about Thai (young) people's English speaking skills, in general: first, they are VERY very shy, second, their knowledge of English is rarely up to par where you can ask them about the "meaning" of anything abstract and get an understanding regarding your question, let alone an answer. So when you asked them about the meaning of loy krathong, that's a definite shoo-away...Now if you point and ask, "what's the name of this flower/or how do you say this in Thai?" speaking very slowly and without accent, that might be understood and get them excited enough to reply, not necessarily in English.

Tonight, I came to the realization that the town I stayed in while in Thailand is called Si Sut Tho. I thought it was called Ban Dung... I honestly didn't know. Talk about lost in translation.

Chuck you want to loss weight, cut out the carbs. No bread, rice, pasta and no beer. you will lose weight fast. Those low hanging poles. Thailand is not made for tall people. One of the things that freak me out and you see it at Thai events in the USA. People cooking with these big woks of boiling oil out in the open, where a kid could grab the handle or get splattered.

Up to me Means not having to please others to make myself happy. But then again I am not the type who requires a direct order...

My Thai girlfriend is rarely upset, and it’s all my fault when she is (really it is). The difference between my ex-wife and my girlfriend is amazing. It’s made me content on so many levels. She only seems to want me, nothing else.
